Meri kahani ki Pari

Naina opened her eyes to see his face directly in front of her. Sameer had shifted a little lower and now lay facing her... her eyes scanned over his face, taking in each handsome feature... the hair that she loved so much were spread on his forehead, in a delightful mess, giving him an innocent charm... the eyes that held her captive with just one intense look were hidden, still she could feel the love within them... the elegant bridge of his nose shone in the morning light, giving him an aristrocatic look... his chiseled cheekbones were any man's, or woman's dream... the lips tugged at one side, giving a hint of smile, a naughty smile, as if whatever he was dreaming of brought this expression... Naina felt a blush rising up her cheeks... she very well knew the smile and could well imagine the dreams related to it.

As her eyes drifted to his jaw, her heartbeat quickened... the shadow was darker... Sameer had this strangely satisfying stubble that could make her go weak in one glance... not that she had been seeing it on other men... but her eyes never registered a stubble as anything special till he came along... but then, she had been so ignorant till she met him... the school years were spent only in the joy of sighting him anywhere in the entire premise... when they got together in college, she was happy to sit with him or a handhold occasionally... the initial hugs were only for comforting each other in difficult situations.

When she had finally discovered the truth behind a relationship, after the initial shock, her heart had started recognizing the signs. Sameer had always given her the choice to step back... never rushing anything. And she had started to accept him... and her own feelings for him... her own desires and desperation for his touch.

She looked back at her husband, recalling their adventures of the previous day and night... the blush turning darker by many shades... how enticing his hands felt on her... she had experienced a storm inside her... it hadn't been easy to stop when she did... she herself did not want to stop...

A sigh escaped her lips... their love gave them the 'haq' on each other, their marriage gave them the acceptance from society... but they were still victims of their own dreams... out of their own choice...

She turned, to see the light from outside much brighter than all previous days. Glancing at the clock, she realised it was almost an hour late than other days.

Gently, she picked his hand from her waist and placed a pillow under it. Without a sound, she slipped out of the room.

Sameer pressed his hand to feel the warmth that soothed him. She was not as soft today... he brushed aside the thought, running his hand on the side of her waist... the dip of curve at her waist was missing.

Had she put on weight? Overnight? Was it possible? He moved his hand to touch her belly... nothing seemed same as last night. Had his Naina turned into someone else in one night?

Or was someone else in his room?

He opened his eyes in horror, pulling back his hand with a jerk.

The pillow seemed to be laughing at him.

He heaved a sigh of relief, looking around for Naina. Presuming her to be in the washroom, he picked up the pillow.

"Subah subah mere saath mazak kar rahe ho? Meri Naina ke jaise tum kabhi nahi ho sakte... na usse ab tumhari zaroorat hai... kyonki usse tumse bhi achha takiya mil gaya hai." He flicked a glance at his own shoulder.

With a deep sigh, he fell back in bed, clutching the pillow to his chest, "Naina, bas iss takiye ki tarah tum bhi paas raho... jab main soyun toh tumhe dekh ke soyun aur jab jaagun yoh tumhari god mein."

The sound of door made him look in the direction of entrance.

His eyes widened. Another fantasy walked in.

The flower wishes of yesterday earned more points.

Holding a tray with two cups of tea, Naina came towards the bed.

Seeing him up, she gave a cheerful smile, "Good morning."

"Good morning, sweetheart." He gave a dreamy look.

His less used endearment made her colour again.

She settled on the bed besides him, placing the tray in front of them.

"Aaj akele hone ka faayda uthaya aur bed tea bana li." She said softly.

He rolled over to bury his face in the side of her leg, "Akele hone ka faayda uthane ke aur bhi tareeke hain."

"Tumne kuch kaha, Sameer?" She narrowed her eyes, responding to his muffled  words.

He straightened, "Nahi, maine kya kaha?"

"Oh... mujhe laga kuch bol rahe the... theek hai, chalo utho, chai pee lo." She ruffled his hair.

He sat up, and leaned sideways to place his head on her shoulder, "Maine kitni baar sapna dekha ki tum aise hi subah chai leke aayi ho... aaj tumhe andar aate dekha toh laga koi pari hai jo mere sapne se nikal ke bahar aa gayi."

She suppressed a smile, "Oh, toh tum pariyon ke sapne dekhte ho."

"Uh huh... bas ek pari ke... meri kahani ki pari." He slipped his hand in hers, intertwining the fingers.

"Aur kya kya karti hai tumhari pari sapno mein?" She lifted their joined hands, putting them in her lap.

"Meri pari jo kar sakti hai woh tum sunogi nahi... kam se kam abhi toh nahi." He looked up at her with a cheeky smile.

She admonished herself for asking such a question to make him give this type of answer... but then he was Sameer... he could give such answer even if she asked him the time.

"Waise Naina tumne kya dekha sapne mein?" He saw her lost and asked in a low voice, knowing that when she answered in such state, he came to know quite a few secrets.

"Sapna kya, main toh khuli aankhon se..." She blurted, and stopped, seeing the familiar smirk on his face.

"Tum chai peeo chup karke." Trying to hide her flustered cheeks, she handed him the cup, picking up hers.

Few more teasings and a satisfying cup of tea later, Naina asked him to go and take bath while she finished some work in the kitchen.

"Tum kyon kar rahi ho? Inke yaha aata toh hai woh... John... woh kar lega." He didn't want her to be away.

"Maine Sonali ko dekha hai... uske aane se pehle woh do teen kaam kar ke rakhti hai... bas wohi karke aati hun... tab tak tum naha lo." She got up to go, holding the tray in hand.

"Okay madam... jaisa aapka hukm... par mere bahar aane tak aa jaana." He winked.

Naina turned and left the room.

Sameer picked up his towel from outside. He stopped in front of the dresser as he passed the mirror. Rubbing his chin, he noticed the denser growth. As he checked his neck, he saw a mark on the collar bone. Leaning towards the mirror, he wondered what it was... and the image of her kisses flashed in his mind.

She had marked him with her teeth... he looked at himself... stunned.

Quickly, he took off his t-shirt, checking if she had given any more bites... there were no marks elsewhere.

Mischief shone in his eyes... maybe he could lure his wild little cat to give him one today... he had seen how much she liked him without shirt.

Naina returned from the kitchen to an empty room. He was not out yet. She started to clean up the table, picking up books and arranging them on one side. After it was done, she moved to the dresser. The jewellery from yesterday was still lying there. She started to put away everything in individual boxes. It was almost done when the bathroom door opened. Looking up at him, she held back a sharp breath... seeing him standing in a towel still made her stomach muscles clench.

Sameer saw the expression and knew the effect he had... that is what he wanted to see.

Taking slow steps towards her, he kept his gaze fixed. Naina pretended to turn her attention to the glass bangles she was adjusting in the small box... aware of the reducing distance between them with each step of his.

He came and stood behind her, a little to the side so that his reflection could also be seen in the mirror.

"Pata hai kal tumne kya kiya?" He placed his hands on her shoulders.

Her head shot up, looking at his image.

He pointed at the mark on his neck. She turned immediately, bringing up her hand to graze her thumb over it. It was a small mark, directly on the bone... and had turned blue.

"Sorry Sameer... pata nahi kaise... main... main..." She turned into a puddle.

"Mujhe pata hai kaise... aur iske liye tum sorry nahi bologi main thank you bolunga... aakhir meri biwi ne apna jaanleva pyar dikhana seekha toh sahi... bhale hi thoda thoda." He slid his arms around her waist.

Suddenly, she was in front of his bare chest... the fresh smell of soap mixed with his own intoxicating scent imvaded her rational thoughts, making her throat go dry.

"Kal jaisa ek trailer aaj nahi dogi?" He murmured.

"Abhi... abhi toh..." She searched for excuses.

"Abhi kya... yahan koi nahi hai... woh log aur do ghante tak nahi aayenge... tumhara pati khud tumse ek nishan maang raha hai... itni si baat nahi manogi?" He threaded his fingers through her hair.

"Sameer." She closed her eyes... his each touch, each word increasing the wild throbbing, heating up her face.

His palm went behind her head, putting pressure to bring her closer to his chest.

Naina fisted her hands, forcing them to stay on her side... her entire body screamed to touch the cool, damp skin...

He took a step ahead, to end the distance between them.

She pushed him, running to the washroom, closing the door behind her.

Sameer kept looking at the closed door... with pursed lips... wondering how long she will take to come over these sudden bouts of shyness. His eyes went to his reflection in the mirror, on the blue mark. A smile spread on his lips... he was the only one in the world who could see this side of Naina... no one could ever believe even if he tried to tell them... her wild, sensuous side was only for him. And he loved it... these two opposite sides of her personality made her more desirable, more intriguing. Maybe there were even more facets which he would discover in the coming days. He was ready to watch each layer unfold slowly... taking him by surprise, fascinating him by its force, mesmerizing him by its charm, tempting him by its novelty...

As she stood under the shower, Naina realised the bathroom smelled like him... she could understand what he meant when he said her fragrance lingered in the bathroom, giving him the feel of her presence. Usually, she took bath before him. This was the first time she was using the bathroom after him... and she could feel his presence here.

Her face turned beetroot at the thought. Quickly turning off the shower, she reached for the towel. The hanger was empty. In her rush to run away from him, she had not picked up her towel... or the clothes.
