Control

Honestly, I am now losing my control with wattpad. The problem persists. Lost my draft last night.Lost all my stories today morning. Got them backafter a long struggle.  And now it was not getting posted again. The updates are shorter because I keep losing the second half repeatedly.

"Sonali, kal ka poora din free hai... kyon na kal hum log kahin ghoomne chalein... parson toh Naina aur Sameer ko party mein jaana hai... bas kal hi hai hamare paas." Rahul suggested as they all enjoyed their evening tea.

"Haan, achha idea hai. Naina, kya kehti hai? Sameer, abhi toh tum bhi saath chaloge toh koi problem nahi hai na?" Sonali brightened, not leaving the chance to tease Sameer.

He lowered his eyes, knowing that she was referring to his restlessness when they went shopping during the day.

"Bohot achha plan hai, haina Sameer... college se second year mein gaye the toh kitna mazaa aaya tha... uske baad kabhi mauka hi nahi mila... abhi chalte hain." Naina loved the idea.

Sameer looked at her, smiling with a mischievous glint. It dawned on her immediately what he was thinking... and a streak of crimson spread on her cheeks.

"Main toh sabse pehle ready hun picnic ke liye... padhai ki classes bohot ho gayi ab thodi masti ki classes bhi ho jaayein." It was his turn to tease Naina.

If she was blushing earlier, now she coloured to the roots, not able to look up as he grinned.

Rahul and Sonali looked at each other, then shrugged, thinking it must be a private joke between them.

They started discussing what places they could go to. Being summer time, beaches were ruled out as it would get very hot during the day. They thought of Elephanta Caves but it had nothing except a few caves. In the end, they decided to go to Lonavala... it was a hill station less than hundred kilometers from Mumbai. Though it was most scenic in monsoons but in this weather also, it was worth visiting... and it would definitely be better weather wise than any other place in Mumbai. They planned to stay for the night as well if it was good enough.

They decided to leave in the morning, taking some packed food. John was instructed to come early and prepare the snacks they planned to take.

After dinner, Naina helped Sonali clear the table. When they were in the kitchen, she told Sonali to get the shopping bags after half an hour.

"Sameer aadhe ghante baad nahane jaayega, tab tu mujhe woh bag de dena... main apne suitcase mein rakh lungi chuppa ke." She told Sonali.

"Theek hai, tu darwaza khol dena jisse mujhe pata chal jaaye... main le aaungi... Rahul se bhi chupana padega na." Sonali agreed.

After finishing the kitchen work, Naina went back to the room to find Sameer rummaging through his suitcase.

"Naina, kal agar hill station jaana hai toh mere paas koi jacket hi nahi hai... maine toh sirf halke kapde rakhe the... socha hi nahi ki yahan itni garmi mein kuch garam kapde bhi chahiye honge." He made a sad face.

"Sameer, itna unchai pe nahi hai Lonavala ki tumhe garam kapde chahiye ho... maine padha hai wahan ke baare mein... bohot achha mausam rehta hai... lekin thand nahi hoti." She picked up the clothes he had thrown around, folding them properly.

"Fir bhi hill station toh hai na... tumhe kya pata hill station pe kitni thand hoti hai... din mein chal jayega lekin raat ko garam kapde zaroori hote hain." He had enough experience of hill station.

"Achha baba, tum shaam hote hi kamre mein rajai leke baith jaana... fir toh thand nahi lagegi na." She gave the folded clothes to him, to put back in the suitcase.

He took the clothes, kept them aside and held her by waist, "Waise zyada achha yeh rahega ki tum mere saath chipak ke rehna... fir thand lagne ka sawal hi nahi hoga."

"Sameer, chodo... Sonali aa jayegi." She squirmed.

"Sonali kyon aayegi? Woh toh sone chali gayi na?" He narrowed his eyes.

Naina realised she was about to commit the blunder.

"Haan, sone gayi hai par agar koi kaam ho... matlab kal ke baare mein koi baat ho... achha tum ab jaake naha lo... jaldi sona hi jisse subah jaldi jaa saken." She tried to divert  his mind from the topic.

He looked at her for a moments, then picked up the towel and went for his bath.

She opened the door the minute he went in, waiting for Sonali. She was there within a few minutes, handing over the bags without a word. Naina quickly placed them at the bottom of her suitcase.

Sameer came out to find her busy with adjusting the clothes.

"Tum bhi garam kapde dhoond rahi ho?" He questioned, rubbing his hair.

"Nahin, mujhe nahi chahiye... mujhe itni thandh nahi lagegi." She closed the suitcase.

He held her wrist, twirling her to come straight to him, "Main lagne bhi nahi dunga."

He was in his tracks and t-shirt, hair wet and tousled, falling on his forehead, the towel still hung around his neck.

Enveloped in his arms, she took the end of the towel and started to rub his hair.

Sameer was fascinated by the way she did it, gently... with hardly any pressure. He always wiped his head with a hard and brisk hand.

"Naina, bohot achha lag raha hai." He closed his eyes, enjoying the feel.

She pulled him towards the chair, making him sit while she softly rubbed his hair standing behind him, running her fingers through them in between. The touch made him shiver... it was a simple gesture but it made him go weak with pleasure... her soft hands were like magic in his hair, the little pressure of her fingers on his scalp made his skin tingle... up to the toes. His heart started to beat faster.

Unaware of his condition she continued to weave his damp hair, going down till the ends behind his neck. Sameer sat still, hands clasped in his lap, eyes shut tight. He wanted to stop this torture by telling her to stop... and he wanted to enjoy the sensation letting her go on for as long as she wanted.

And then she came in front of him, patting around his forehead and temple. Feeling her breath on his forehead, he opened his eyes... to see his eyes at level with her curves. He gulped, closing his eyes again. The torture was getting too much for him.

He held her wrist, eyes still closed, "Naina, bas ho gaya."

She was surprised at his hoarse voice, wondering what happened. Stopping her action, she looked down at his face... and her breath stopped.

She took a step back quickly, turning away from him. Pressing her lips together she tried to control their quivering, cursing herself for her stupidity.

The moment she could breathe, she picked up her night dress and rushed to the washroom.

Sameer put the towel away... he had to force his hands down to stop them from going around her waist... and bury his face in the soft curves. He could have done it... and she would not have objected... he was sure... but he wasn't sure about himself. The control he was trying to keep on himself was falling in danger zone far too often... her proximity and her acceptance was making him lose track far too many times.

But he could not stay away... that was not an option. He had to work harder to retain the control, till the right time... staying with her, not away from her.

With a few deep breaths, he tried to divert his mind by thinking about the excursion next day.

Naina splashed cold water on her face. She was embarrassed... what will sameer think, what was she trying to do... she covered her face with her palms...

When she came out, taking much more time than usual, he was lying in bed, hands behind his head, lost in some thoughts.

Putting her clothes in the cupboard, she switched off the light, not wanting to face him in brightness... the soft lamp would lessen the impact little bit.

She went and laid on her side, adjusting the pillow.

"Arre, tum bhool gayi kya... tumhara takiya toh yahan hai." His normal voice melted some of her awkwardness.

She slowly shifted towards him. He pulled her, seeing her hesitation.

"Maine kaha tha na... humein kisi baat mein hichkichana nahi hai... Naina, maine sirf isliye rukne ko kaha tumhe kyonki tum nahi rukti toh main bhi nahi ruk paata... dekho, hum saath rahenge tab tak aise pal aate rahenge... hum apni marzi se khud ko rok rahe hain na... toh aise chup kyon ho rahi ho? Ab tum ho hi itni khoobsurat ki mera dil baar baar fisal jaata hai, kya karun?" he lifted her face up, hooking one finger under it.

The softness in his eyes melted all her inhibitions. She buried her face in his chest, wrapping her arms around him. She was relieved with what he said... at least the uneasy silence was not there anymore.

"Umm, naina, ek minute." He nudged her.

She moved a bit, looking up, perplexed. He moved out of her hold, took off his tshirt and laid back.

"Ab theek hai." Grinning, he spread his arm, engulfing her close to him as she shifted back on his arm.
