Apna ghar
Naina got a sinking feeling in her stomach... what had he done... and how?
"Bolo na, Sameer... kya kiya tumne?" She was impatient.
"Maine... taiji ko phone kiya tha." He said quietly.
She stared, holding her breath.
Sameer narrated the conversation he had with taiji... telling her exactly what all he had called her.
Naina stepped back, slapping her hands on her mouth, eyes wide open.
Sameer gulped...
"Sorry Naina, par main khud ko rok nahi paaya... unhone jis awaaz mein aur jin shabdon mein tumhare liye baat ki woh sun ke main kaise chup rehta... mujhe pata tha tum pe kya asar hua hoga... ab tumhare paas aa nahi sakta tha... lekin taiji ko maaf nahi kar sakta tumhari aankhon mein aansu dene ke liye." He told her clearly.
Naina stood rooted to the spot, hands clasped on her mouth.
He waited for a few seconds.
"Naina, kuch bolo." He was scared now.
"Kya... kya... taiji ne tumhe pehchana?" She asked in a shaky voice.
"Kaise pehchanegi? Main bas ek baar mila tha... Munna ki sagai mein... unhe yaad thodi hoga." He stated the obvious.
Her hands slipped down... and lips curved into a smile...
Sameer watched in awe as the smile changed to a laugh... and slowly the sound of her giggling resonated in the room. She cracked up completely, doubling with hysterical laughter... tears streaming down her cheeks once again...
But he did not grimace at those tears... watching her in amusement as she moved around clutching her stomach... shaking her hands in air... wiping her cheeks with the back of her hand... holding onto his arm for support... throwing her head back as she squeezed her eyes shut...
And uncontrollable peals of laughter kept erupting throughout...
"Bas karo, Naina... kitna hasogi?" He leaned on the wall, crossing his arms against his chest, grinning.
She turned towards him, almost out of breath, "Oh Sameer... iss baat pe main saari zindagi hans sakti hun... taiji ko..."
Another bout of giggles escaped her before she could speak, "Tumne unhe moti kaha? Aur kaha ki darawani hain? Kamaal ho tum bhi... itna toh unko aaj tak kisi ne nahi sunaya hai... itna kya, unko kitna bhi sunane ki himmat koi nahi karta... aur tumne... tumne itna sab keh diya ki unki bhook tak mar gayi... pata hai tumhe, woh khana khane bhi nahi aayi thi aaj."
"Theek hai na, ek din nahi khayengi toh shayad unka pet unhe thank you bolega." He smirked.
"Bua dadi ne bhi yehi kaha tha... Sameer, kaash tum pehle bata dete toh main khana dene ke bahane unke ghar zarur jaati... ek baar unki shakal dekhne ke liye." She wiped her eyes with both hands.
"Dekh lena... unki shakal kaafi time aisi hi rehne wali hai." He ran his fingers through the locks falling on his forehead.
She tried to control herself after sometime.
"Main muh dho ke aati hun... tumne aaj hansa hansa ke maar dala." She turned, going to his room... that was the only washroom she was aware of.
Sameer heaved a sigh of relief... the traces of pain were gone... the plump cheeks shone with colour... eyes glinted with the same spark that he wanted to always see...
Suddenly, a wave of panic gripped him.
HIS ROOM...
Naina was going towards his room...
He ran, "Naina, suno... ruko... wahan mat jao."
She had almost reached the door when his scream stopped her. She turned to look at him rushing towards her.
"Kya hua, Sameer?" She was puzzled at his behavior.
"Woh, mere bathroom mein kal se paani nahi aa raha... pipe kharab hai... tum... tum idhar wale bathroom mein chali jao." He almost pulled her away.
"Yeh lo... yahan sab theek hai." He opened the door of the washroom next to the library.
Once she was gone, he placed a hand on his heart, breathing in relief. Had she entered the room, she would have seen the changes he was making. He had asked Swati for help the very next day of his arrival. She, however, told him that it would give Naina immense happiness if he let her make the changes she wanted, maybe after marriage. But she agreed to bring about a few additions to his room. And now, he was staying with Munna Pandit in the other bedroom as his room was getting painted first... other things would be done once this job was over. He smiled, thinking how surprised Naina would be when she entered the room for the first time.
She went inside the washroom... thinking that maybe the three boys staying in the room had created so much of mess that he was conscious to let her see it... because it wasn't possible that there was no water in his bathroom since yesterday and Sameer was okay with it, the kind of perfection he wanted all around him.
She splashed her face, clearing away the signs of sadness that had seized her since morning. Looking at her reflection, once again a spurt of snickering escaped her lips... taiji at the receiving end of all that Sameer had said... she could not even imagine.
She was the one who had been hurling such hurtful words at everyone... Naina being her number one target... and the tables had turned today... she had been subjected to all this because of Naina.
Dabbing her face, she imagined the reaction of Preeti when she came to know... she would scream so loud that the secret would be out in open. Naina decided to keep it between herself and Sameer...
She stepped out, half turning to close the door behind her when a strong arm slid around her waist and pulled her in the library.
Sameer pinned her against the wall the moment they were inside. Without a word, he closed her lips with his... for a soothing kiss. His one arm held her at the waist, the other rested on her neck, threading through her hair as his thumb stroked her soft cheek. Naina closed her eyes... calm spreading all over her.
Her petal soft lips parted for him, and he delved in... the need getting stronger as she returned the kiss with same ardour. His hand on her neck went behind her head, fisting the hair... fingers of the other digging in the smooth skin of her waist.
Naina could feel herself melting against him... her hands were pressed on his back, pulling him closer as she plastered against his hard chest. His musky scent overpowered her senses... and she went up on her toes, bringing her hands behind his neck... taking his breath away.
The kiss turned demanding... both feeling the force of craving that they were keeping subdued. His hand moved on her waist, finding the slit of her kurta, and slipped in to explore her back. She arched as his fingers made her skin burn. The feel of her softness crushed against his hard muscles made him aware of her heart beating hard... just like his own.
The need for air seemed to be forgotten... all they wanted was to drown in each other.
They didn't know after how long, but when he lifted his head, she felt herself too weak to stand, clutching the back of his shirt as her neck dropped on his chest.
He breathed heavily, holding her tight.
His world felt complete... they were together, in their own home.
When she found her breath after a few minutes, she looked up.
"Aajkal tum roz shave karne lage ho." She rubbed the back of her hand on his jaw.
He smiled, "Kal sasuraal gaya tha na... socha pata nahi kab fir se bulava aa jaye, isliye apni taiyari poori rakhta hun."
The colour on her flushed cheeks turned a few shades darker.
He grazed his fingers on her cheeks, feeling their warmth and softness, "Tum itni sundar lag rahi ho,Naina... dil kar raha hai tumhe kha jaun."
He snapped his teeth at her.
She laughed, "Arre, arre... sher ho kya?"
"Haan, aur tum meri sherni... yaad rakhna... aage se kabhi darna nahi... aur khud ko rokna bhi nahi... main hamesha tumhare saath hun." He cupped her face.
She nodded, knowing what he meant.
Going on her toes, she kissed his jaw, "Aise bhi bohot handsome lagte ho."
He groaned, "Naina, kyon kar rahi ho... waise hi khud ko sambhalna mushkil ho raha hai... main... main nahi reh paa raha hun tumse door."
"Main bhi nahi, Sameer... bas kal subah panditji aayenge toh humein pata chal jayega ki kitne din aur humein yeh judaii ka dard sehna hai." She wrapped her arms around his neck, standing on the tips of her toes... her cheek pressed to his.
He could not take it any more. Placing one arm at the back of her legs and one around her waist, he lifted her... and walked to the couch placed in the library.
Gently putting her on it, he pushed her shoulders down, making her lie flat... and sat near her waist.
Naina looked into his eyes... the darkness in them turning extreme... but it did not scare her... nor did it make her uncomfortable.
The couch was narrow, not enough for them to be together on it... so he did not attempt to lie down, remaining seated. Sameer was surprised for a moment when she opened her arms... sinking into her embrace the next. She felt warm and soft under him... a woman... his woman...
He tried to control his erratic breathing, knowing well that his control was getting tremulous with each passing moment.
But Naina was out to test his patience. She kissed his ear, tracing the line with her tongue. He felt a shiver run through his body. Before he could recover, she nipped the earlobe, making him jerk.
"Naina." His guttural voice enticed her even more.
She slid her hand under his collar, drawing small circles on the back of his shoulders... lips moving to his jaw, going over his chin as he raised his head.
His eyes were closed, breath coming out in gasps. She was torturing him... pushing him towards the edge... if he gave in now, there would be no stopping. They were at home... alone... there would be no disturbance... there would be no fear of someone walking in...
Her hand still stroked his skin on the back, her lips now on his throat, leaving a burning trail.
In a swift motion, he slipped his hands behind her... bringing her up in a sitting position.
He looked into her eyes... the flecks of desire gleamed in her deep brown orbs... and his hold over himself slipped some more. His hand went behind her, tugging at the zipper, till it gave in. She clutched his arms, fingers tightening over the muscles.
Their eyes locked with each other, he pulled down the kurta, baring her shoulders. With a deep sigh, he bent down to kiss the vast expanse of velvety skin revealed to his view, all the while holding the kurta around her upper arms. Her eyes hooded when he went down her collar bone, going lower till the edge of her falling neckline.
A gasp escaped her as she felt his sharp teeth against the sensitive skin. He blew over it immediately, soothing it. Her hand instinctively went to hold the kurta in front, lest it slipped down all the way to her waist when his hands moved up her shoulders, touching the exposed skin.
He saw her closed eyes... and the fisted hand, holding tight to not let the kurta fall...
With a deep breath, he pulled it up, over her shoulders, and secured the zipper.
She wrapped her hands around him, breathing hard.
They sat for some time, bringing their racing heartbeats in control.
"Chalein?" He held her face after a few minutes, looking at her red cheeks.
She nodded.
He got up, going to the door.
"Sameer." Her voice stopped him... and he looked back.
She walked up to him, placing her hands on his chest, "Thank you."
He raised one brow.
"Sab cheezon ke liye... mere liye mera birthday khaas banane ke liye... mere liye taiji se takkar lene ke liye... mere andar ke dard ko samajhne ke liye... mujhe himmat dilane ke liye..." Her voice lowered, "Aur sabse zyada... mujhe mera apna ghar dene ke liye."
He swallowed, her last line suddenly making it a home for him as well.
"Ab woh din door nahi jab main yahan aaungi... kabhi wapas na jaane ke liye." She kissed his forehead.
They went to the living room, talking about how to tackle the problems they were facing, when the bell rang.
Sameer opened the door to let Ramdhari in.
"Arre, Naina bhabhi, aap? Kitne din baad aayi hain... hum abhi aapke liye achhi si chai banate hain." He beamed, seeing Naina.
"Nahi bhaiya, abhi main chalti hun... chai agli baar pi lungi... mujhe der ho rahi hai." She politely told him, getting up to leave.
Sameer gave some instructions to Ramdhari and they left.
The phone started to ring the moment they were out of the house.
