So this is the first long update of Kab Tak, as compared to others ;)

It's been two weeks since Nandini left Mumbai and Manik hurt his hand. There was not even a tinge of guilt on the faces of fab 4.

Whereas Manik was swimming in a pool of guilt and shame.
He knew he was responsible for their broken relationship.

Coming back to Nandini she has joined music class of Amms.
She was trying to move on in her life, which wasn't easy at all, but she knew she had to do this. She always used to feel sick , nauseous , sleepy. She didn't inform about this to Amms, cause she knew amms would get worried.

Manik was sitting in the bar of
Malhotra Mansion and was drinking.

M A N I K

Since 15 day's, 3 hour's and 22 minutes, i have not seen her.
I have not admired her beauty. I have not stared at her with love. She doesn't come to college.

How stupid of me, why would she even come? To again bear all the shitty words of fab 5 against her? Why everytime me and Nandini has to suffer? Why can't we both live a normal life? I know we are meant to be forever. If we were not meant to be, we would have never reach this far. We faced each and every huddles of life together.

But this time i left her, why? To protect my friends, they are soo happy these days. Even i am happy looking at their cheerful faces. But what about me? What about my love? I will protect them but who will protect me?

I took out my phone, opened my gallery and started admiring Nandini's pictures. I had a folder of Nandini's pictures.

Nandini mai nahi reh pa raha hu tumhara bina. Mujhe adat hai har roz tumhare chehre ka deedar karne ki. Tum mujhe nahi dikhti ho toh mai pagal ho jata hu.

Na mai tumhe pa sakta hu, na mai fab5 ko tod sakta hu. Par mai unhe kabhi maaf nahi karunga, mujhse mera pyaar cheena hai unlogo ne, tum theek toh hona? Tum college kyu nahi aa rahi ho?

Meri galti ka asar tum apne future pe mat padne do. I know tumhara dream tha, space me music seekhne ka. Par maine sab barbad kar diya.

Kahi Nandini ki tabiyat toh kharaab Nahi Hain? Shayad isiliye college nahi aa rahi.

Ek baar nandini ko dekh toh sakta huna. Waise bhi raat ho rahi hai, kisiko pata nahi chalega mai kaha hu. Bas ek baar dekh lu usse wo kaisi hai.

Getting up with a jerk , i kept the glass on the cabinet with a thud, grabbed my car keys and left.

Aa toh gaya hu par pata kaise chalega Nandini theek hai ya nahi?

At the same time i saw a pipe attached to Nandini's room's window, I climbed it fastly without falling as the window level was low .

I entered inside her room but there were no traces of Nandini.
I thought maybe she would be in the bathroom, that's why i hid beneath the study table.

10 minutes passed away and then i realized that there was no noise of water running. I got out, pushed the knob of the bathroom door and the bathroom door opened.

Taking long strides towards the main door of nandini's bedroom, i realized that it was locked from outside. I then looked backwards on the study table, but what i saw shook my mind, or more precisely, what i didn't see shocked my mind. Because the favourite fireflies jar of Nandini was not kept there.

Did she meant whatever she said that night? Did she really leave me ?

I wanted answers, to know where Nandini is, she can't just leave, she can't, no.

I again climbed down the window and went near the main gate.

I rung the bell and the door was opened by chacha and chachi.

" Hii chachi "
they yawned a little and replied

" Hello beta, tum itne raat ko yaha? Kuch kam tha ?. "
asked chachi

I hesitantly replied

" Haan woh, mujhe puchna tha ki Nandini kaha hai? Bohot dino se college nahi aa rahi hai ? Theek toh haina
woh? "
Their looks told me, that they kind off expected me here.

" Tum itne raat ko yeh puchne aaye ho nandini kaha hai? " asked chachi jokingly

" Haan, Umm, I am sorry.
I shouldn't have disturbed
y'all. "
I apologized.

" Please bataiye na chachi Nandini kaha hai? "
I was so desperate to know about her whereabouts.

" Wo.. Nandini Mumbai chod ke chali gayi "
this was enough to blow my mind.

I shouted all of a sudden.
" Kya? Kaha gayi lekin wo? "

" Wo hame nahi pata
beta "

They're lying, i can make that out, through their changed body languages, they looked uncomfortable, chachi did not make any eye contact with me, and most importantly, they were like Nandini's parents, how can they not know?

" Aapko yeh nahi pata ke Nandini kaha hai ? Yeh kaise ho sakta hai ? She was like your daughter right,
Mujhe pata hai aap dono jhoot bol rahe ho "
I can literally read the lie in their eyes

" Manik, Nandini hamari beti thi nahi, ab bhi hai. Par hum nahi bata sakte tumhe wo
kaha hai "

See, i was right, they were lying, but why? Why'd they lie to me? Did they get to know, what i did to their daughter, no, if they would've been aware, i would've not even been allowed to stand here.

" Kyu ? "
I asked, i was just trying my luck.

" Kyuki usne hamse promise liya hai, ki ham kisiko bhi na bataye ki wo kaha hai. Tum jao ghar beta, wo ab laut kar Mumbai nahi aane wali hain " informed chachi, taking the only hope of knowing about her away from me.

I was stunned, i knew, this time she was hurt beyond limits. So hurt, that she decided to leave Mumbai forever.

" Chachi wo theek toh haina? Please bataiye Nandini kaha hai "
I tried again, even when i knew they were bounded by Nandini's promise, i was going mad.

" Manik, Nandini jaha kahi bhi hai theek hai. Isse zyada hum tumhe kuch nahi bata sakte " saying this they closed the door leaving me all messed up, i have fuxked up so bad, this time.

......

6 : 00 am , Manglore.

Nandini was doing her rihaas with Amms, remembering Manik, Manik and his betrayal, never left her mind. But she didn't know that Amms called her twice. Finally Amms shaked her shoulders.

" Haan Amms boliye "
she replied immediately

" Kanna mai kabse tumhe aawaz de rahi hu, dhyaan kaha hai tumhara? "
asked Amms.

" wo sorry Amms, mai thodi der ke liye zone out ho gayi "
Nandini apologized.

" Kanna music sikhne ke liye, focus hona bohot important hai, tum aise apne khayalon mein nahi kho sakti, tumhe apna future banana hai
na? "
advised Amms, she knew Amms had been worried about her changing behaviour and Amms was very strict, when it came to music.

" Haan Amms, main bohot strong banna chahti hu. Mai apna future secure karna chahti hu. Mai koi bhi cheez ko apne aur success ke bich nahi aane dungi. Mai appa amma ki strong daughter hu.

I know aap sabki ummidein mujhse judi hai. Mai aise apne aap ko loser nahi sabit kar sakti. Mai ladungi Amms.
Sab future me Nandini Murthy ko janenge, I'll make you, appa , amma, rishu, chacha , chachi proud.

This was the last time I zoned out Amms. Now i would never let my focus splinter. I am strong, i'll never let myself down, mai strong hu Amms, bohot strong "
she was blabbering continuously only one line
" Main, strong hu Amms "

Amms was shocked with Nandini's sudden behavioural change. She held nandini's shoulders and said
" Shhh!! Kanna achanak kya ho gaya tujhe? "

Nandindi again started
" Main proove karungi... Ki.. I...am...str...strong "
Nandini was stammering and lastly she fainted.

Only if Nandini ever knew, her life was going to take a 360° turn.
