Mask (Fushimi Saruhiko x Former Blue Clan! Reader) *Part 1*

"Do not fail me! Or you will be punished by my hand!"

 "Yes, master."

........

You know how it is!

When you're just waiting on that bad

Bad moon to rise

You know how it is!

'Cause we're just waiting on that bad

Bad moon to rise

Fushimi Saruhiko, former member of the Red Clan, led by Mikoto Suoh, patrolled the night streets of Shizume City, together with his new colleagues from the Blue Clan, led by Reisi Munakata, Akiyama and Benzai.

"Tsch, what boredom..." Saruhiko muttered, watching the sky as the stars danced under his sharp gaze.

"It's what Shitsuchō wants, so don't make such a fuss, Mr. Saruhiko." Benzai warned, although his expression was calm as he wore a smile on his face.

"When you're just waiting on that bad, bad moon to rise."

Immediately, the three clansmen turned their bodies straight towards the source of the noise, being cautious of anything.

"Who's there?!" Akiyama yelled, pulling his saber out of its sheath.

"Tsch." Fushimi didn't have the patience to wait like the others and threw a throwing knife at the shadow that lurked between the buildings.

The knife was engulfed in the darkness and soon thrown back with the same speed, much for the surprise of the young Blue clansman.

"I can say that you gave it a shot, at least." A unknown figure appeared from the shadows, wearing a mask.

No one could determine whether the person underneath it was a man or a woman.

"Using a voice modem to change your voice, huh? Nice one there." Fushimi faked a smile.

"Trying to use sarcasm is something I wouldn't recommend, you know." The person chuckled darkly.

"Like I care."

Fushimi was slightly frustrated as he approached the masked one with not so cautious steps, and much for Akiyama and Benzai's plead to retreat a little, he charged at the figure with both saber and knife in hand.

He used his power to support his attacks, although he used most of his own energy.

"I suggest you do not dodge this." Saruhiko mumbled, slicing every single one of the obstacles that came in his way, unfortunately - not his prey.

The figure stood there in silence as the cable that had been plugged into the sound modem had been sliced, making some buzzing noises instead.

"What, scared to talk?"

Akiyama and Benzai used the chance to make a surprise attack as both of them slashed through the air, forming a blue X that was sent towards the center of the street, just where the masked one stood.

"We got it!" Both of them clenched their fists in victory as they mumbled the three sweet words...

Only to be surprised that no one stood there.

Suddenly, the person had leapt behind Saruhiko, pressing something sharp against his neck.

Fushimi could only stare in disbelief at his comrades, who trembled silently in front of him.

The mysterious person did not spoke. He just stood there, watching them from underneath his mask. He was breathing heavily, the blue clansman could not that.

Then, he felt his phone being taken from him. As he tried to move and snatch it away from his attacker, he felt the blade being pressed harder against his skin.

Seconds later, he was free from the tight grasp and the "shadow" that had fought them had disappeared as fast as it had attacked.

....

The night had passed as fast as it had begun. Unfortunately, the three clansmen failed in their mission to capture the mysterious attacker.

Fushimi was slightly frustrated, many reasons unknown to him as well.

Was he intrigued by the figure? No, probably curiosity as to who was the mind behind the mask and it did need his phone.

He looked through the window, nodding silently to himself.

He thought on many possibilities. Was it a woman? Or a man?

The figure moved faster than them. Men could never manage to use the same speed as the figure had. But it did not lack power. Women couldn't use the strength it had used.

"Tsk!" He crashed his head against the computer, frustrated. "It doesn't make sense!"

"What doesn't make sense, Mr. Fushimi?" Benzai asked.

Coughing lightly from embarrassment, Fushimi explained to his colleague what he thought on about the case.

"It is true that the figure possessed speed and strength that was... Unique in some way." He muttered.

"I say we return to find out!" Akiyama had appeared next to them, having a tight grip against his sheathed sword.

This night, he would find out.

....

(Y/N) scrolled through the phone, trying to find some clue.

There were no pictures. The files were only a few, but none of them was important. The phone calls were encoded and were harder to break, than she thought.

"Come on! For fuck sake. I'll be a walking corpse if I don't find anything." She cursed, trying to find something small.

"I see you have disappointed me. Just the opposite of what I told you, heh?" A cold, husky voice sent chills down her spine.

Feeling his icy cold fingers touch her shoulder, (Y/N) tried her best not to show how frightened she actually was.

"You know that we, the Strains are rare, right?" He pushed her against the wall, his fingers holding her chin.

Her (e/c) eyes were forced to look at his greyish ones all the time.

"Our group is a rebel. We want only wealth. You promised that you would help us achieve that. Although you were different from us, we believed you." He chuckled darkly. "But with the Blues close on our track, we can't achieve that."

"What are you talking about?! I helped you all this time. They've never managed to catch us!" She growled.

"Oh, but my dear. I'm a greedy man. I want them out of the way, if you know what I mean." He had a crocked smile on his face.

Knowing what exactly he meant by that, she hissed, kicking him against his groin.

"I may not be amongst the Blue, I still have my loyalty towards them."

"Loyalty?!" He chuckled darkly. "What loyalty?!"

(Y/N) was at loss of words. She felt guilty for what she had done. She did deserve to be locked. But her thoughts were foggy. Whenever she tried to remember why was the reason she had ran away from the Blue Clan, she would feel dizzy.

"You lost your loyalty to them the moment your eyes were locked with mine on the alley in front of the HQ." He snickered.

"You mother..." (Y/N) pulled her dagger, blue flames engulfing it.

The dark room was now lighter, as the blue flames danced with the shadows.

 .......

After giving a not-so-long report to Munakata, he decided that the members of HQ will participate in this mission. He wanted to ensure the safety of all Shizume City.

"Tsk, we were going to be fine alone." Saruhiko clicked his tongue.

"I've picked up a signal. It is coming from Mr. Fushimi's phone." One of the members said.

....

Awashima was leading the way, followed by several members of the Blue, including Saruhiko.

She held her hand in the air, motioning them to stop their tracks. The signal came from this dark alley. There was an annoying buzzing sound, coming from the end of the alley. Akiyama held a flashlight and what they saw shocked them.

 "The masked one..." Benzai whispered.

Indeed it was the masked one, but the scenery was a lot different from what they had expected.

The unknown person was tied up by the hands against the metal stairs that led to the rooftop, his body hanging from there.

"This disturbs me a lot." Awashima Seri spoke. "Is the person even conscious?"

"Well, I'd say no." Someone's voice echoed from afar.

Everyone's eyes were immediately focused on the figure on the rooftop. The man wore dark clothes.

Fushimi had a closer look at him. He was older than him, but with only a few years. His greyish eyes were shining against the light of the moon.

"A shame, I thought your Captain would be here as well..." He hung his head in defeat. "Oh well, then at least we can get rid of you, blue dogs!" He laughed.

Using his powers as a Strain, the man had pinned down every single member of the Blue clan on the floor.

"Being a Strain is something unique!" He muttered to himself, pressing them harder against the cold ground. "Oi, the boy there." He pointed at Saruhiko. "I believe my pawn stole this from you. At least from what I saw in the memories." He threw the phone.

Saruhiko could see it crashing on the ground, breaking into million of pieces.

"I heard you were also the newest member of the clan, eh?" The man smiled. "Then I suggest I start with you."

"Fushimi!" Awashima yelled as she tried her best to pull herself on her feet.

The knife that was sent towards him was instantly melted with blue flames.

 "What?!"

"You motherfucker..." The buzzing noise got louder as the person behind the mask spoke.

 "How are you standing?!"

"Easier than you thought.

"Die! Die! Die!" He yelled in rage.

The soundwave that held everyone on the ground was directed towards the figure that dodged it swiftly.

The mask made a ricochet with the wave and broke in many pieces, reveling those burning with rage (e/c) eyes.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I won't." She smirked.

"Miss (Y/N)!" Seri yelped as the familiar figure had appeared in front of her.

(Y/N) smiled sadly before launching herself towards the man, jumping from one stair floor to another.

"I will never be your pawn! Never!" She yelled.

Kicking him hard against the stomach, she sent him flying against the wall, breaking the control over the clansmen. They all readied their swords, ready to assist immediately.

"Acting tough, huh?" (Y/N) smirked as she walked closer to the man that had manipulated her thoughts. She pressed her foot against his chest. "You disgust me." She spilled before knocking him unconscious.

 ......

"(Y/N) (L/N). As much as you helped us, you are to be locked as a criminal for the crimes you had done." Reisi spoke from behind his desk.

"Of course, Munakata. I knew very well that this would be what I deserve for what I did. And I am ready to accept it." (Y/N) nodded, having her hands tied. "I would also want to do two more things, please." She smiled.

Nodding out of curiosity, the Forth King watched as (Y/N) stepped closer, handing him a small chip.

"This is the computer chip from the device inside the base of operations on the rebelling Strains. If you follow the IP address, you'd be able to catch them now, before they find out their leader has been captured." (Y/N) explained briefly. Then she gave the rest of the details that she could, regarding their system and how everything was connected,

Fushimi was slightly amazed. Just slightly.

The woman had shown some impressive movements back there, and the skills she had shown just now were almost on a computer level as him.

"And now..." (Y/N) turned against the black haired man. "I am very sorry for what I did to you and your comrades." She nodded to Akiyama and Benzai as well.

She bowed politely and followed two men that would lead her to her cell.

......

A few months had passed since then. Saruhiko felt the need to tell (Y/N) that they had entered the base of operations of the rebelling Strains and that everything ended. At first (Y/N) frowned because there were some members she forgot to mention that did not deserve to be punished roughly, because they, from what she thought, were manipulated, just like her. Fushimi promised to report that to Munakata and the case to be looked deeper, so that those people she mentioned, were given a little more bearable punishment.

Ever since, he had visited her cell, and has even volunteered to be on guard and watch her.

 "Say, Mr. Fushimi..."

"Tsk. Can't you just call me Saruhiko?" He asked, slightly annoyed as he had interrupted (Y/N).

"Sorry. Saruhiko, then? What brought you to the Blues? I've been very curious, because by the looks of it, you are very different from the rest."

Dodging the question, he puffed a bit, then asked her the same question.

(Y/N) fell silent and turned around, refusing to face him.

"My story is complicated enough, so I don't think that it is to be heard."

 "Mine as well." He muttered.

"Hmph." (Y/N) chuckled silently to herself.

 ........

That conversation had brought thoughts that neither (Y/N) nor Saruhiko could get out of their heads.

Every time they thought of the other, both of them would get flustered.

"Why me?!" Both of them sighed as they stared at the ceiling of their separate rooms.

(Y/N) had enough trouble sleeping. The bed wasn't from the most comfortable ones and that made her back sore. Now these annoying thoughts had crawled inside her head, making her grunt.

Saruhiko couldn't concentrate on his report. He had to give it to Munakata tomorrow morning. He clicked his tongue and went to the bed, lying down as the cold sheets touched his bare skin.

...... CLIFFHANGER (Cruelty of the author, but yeah)......

 SNEAK PEAK OF PART 2:

"Saruhiko! Can't you just get out of my head?!" (Y/N) screamed, pressing her back against the wall.

"I was about to ask the same thing!" Fushimi growled, walking towards her, his eyes shining with emotions, unknown to him.

 ¬¬¬¬

"What are you doing?!" (Y/N) moaned, closing her eyes as the sensation tickled her soft skin.

"I don't know... But I don't intend to stop here." Saruhiko smirked.

 END OF THE SNEAK PEAK.
