Yatogami Kuroh.
He was indeed a person to admire. He had the strength no one else had. He had the temper no one else could dream of.
But he was a coward.
A coward to express his feelings.
He knew he had to tell her.
And yet again he did not.
And in this cold, stormy night... He might be able to tell her. To show her that she is not alone.
Or fail miserable, watching as the person he mostly cared about faded in his eyes.
A single click from his PDA was enough to make his eyes widen.
Those four letters.
'Help'
...............
(Y/N) watched in horror as the drops of blood fell down of her friends throat. The thunder upon them made the scene even more horrible for her eyes to bear.
She wanted to scream until no voice was left inside her, but fear made her body freeze on the ground, trembling, hoping.
Hope?
That word would be silly for the (h/c) girl, if she hadn't met a certain someone.
Alas, that person was not there for her. Her best friend's life was taken just in front of her eyes and soon, (Y/N) knew it well, she was to follow her.
"Aye, this bitch-chan isn't showing any signs of life anymore." One of the masked men spat, kicking the girls head, much for the displease of (Y/N).
"At least... Be respectful...." She muttered, her (e/c) orbs staring lifelessly in the ground.
"You have the guts to talk back towards us?!" A man, by the voice seemed around her age, yelled as he kicked the innocent girl in the back.
"I know what to do with this one. Let's see how much pain she can endure if we start cutting her from the eye..." He pressed the tip of the knife against (Y/N), sliding it down, "Till the collarbone."
(Y/N) felt the hot liquid streaming down from where the flesh was cut open. She wanted to fight back, she was desperate to escape from the nightmare she and her dead friend walked into...
"You'll pay!" A familiar voice yelled from afar, making her eyes sparkle.
It was him!
"Kuroh!"
An almost invincible hand flew past her, smacking the life out of the man that stood near her.
Knowing that she had enough of it, she closed her eyes, pressing her palms against her ears, wanting everything to finish as fast as it started.
Bloodshed wasn't what (Y/N) had dreamed of. To be honest, sometimes she wondered what would her life be, if she lived somewhere else, away from the society and the noise.
Every time she wanted to go, he stopped her.
Not precisely him, but her heart that cried for him every night.
"Damn you, brat." Someone had snuck behind her back, pulling her shiny (h/c) hair towards the school halls.
After what seemed ages, the culprit stopped his tracks, kicking the door that came into sight, cold air crashing against (Y/N)'s chest.
From what it looked like, they were on the top of the building.
The young woman felt the fresh blood entering her (e/c) eye, making her vision blurred.
"I wanted you to experience a slow death, but it rather seems..." The man pulled her body at the edge, pushing her with whatever strength he had after the fast pace around the school halls, in order to escape from the powers Kuroh had.
"Say hello to the Devil from me!" The man sneered, watching as the girl fell to her death.
(Y/N) felt as she had become an angel. Never in her life would she have imagined falling from the high.
Like, who would, to be honest.
But there was something tragical and lovely in this. A fallen angel, in the darkness.
"A fallen angel, just... Let go..." She hummed the sentence, trying to remember the next important part.
Her eyes were wide, as she remembered.
"You don't have to be alone..." As if pulled out of her trance, she quickly realized how close she was to the ground. "Kuroh!" (Y/N) screamed as loud as she could, not giving a shot about waking someone from the blocks up in the middle of the night.
Then, a pair of hands had wrapped around her small body, a tight grip, showing no signs of letting go.
"(Y/N)..." The same man her heart desired.
He.... He was here. And he really saved her.

(Y/N) sat on the bed, covered with a red blanket and gripping a cup of tea in her trembling hands.
"Why didn't you tell me you were outside this late and night?" Kuroh knelt near the bed, massaging (Y/N)'s skin with his thumb.
"We.... We were out for just a few hours. I thought that... W-We were okay. After all, we were in the school territory. Nothing wrong with that right? S-Suddenly, these bastards came. I knew I could do something, Kuroh! I knew, but I couldn't control my body! It's all my fault she is dead now!" The (h/c) girl cried out, almost dropping her cup.
Kuroh sighed sadly, embracing the woman his heart had wished for.
He silently thanked that he did not lose what was precious to him.
When he saw her in that state, back then, he felt like something shattered into millions of pieces inside him.
Kuroh felt like he was going to lose her, if he hadn't released himself from the grip of the second culprit. Losing (Y/N) out of sight for just a few minutes was enough to cause his blood to boil in rage.
"(Y/N)...." He whispered as he muzzled himself in the crook of her neck, making the girl gasp silently.
If the circumstances were different, he'd try to confess what he had kept in mind for so long.
But he couldn't risk.
Not now.
Just a few more days.
But then, a dark thought crawled inside his mind, making him feel horrible.
What if he doesn't have the opportunity to tell her?
He was on the verge of losing her today. He couldn't risk again.
But this time, he would be constantly by her side, not letting her go, even for a second.
She may think of this as something bad, and would surely want to escape from his sight.
But he'd be sure to follow.
Because that is what he vows secretly.
"Kuroh... Stay by my side... Please..." The girl chocked between her cry, her eyes puffed and red from all the crying.
This sent warm sparks inside his heart and he smiled softly, his thumb caressing her wet cheek.
"I will." He whispered back to her, placing his forehead against hers.
Their small confession was enough for then to be sure that neither of them will go without the other.
They knew that today is a sad day. But it brought happiness to them in the end, knowing that they were longing for each other the whole time.
As for the culprits, who were surely to be receiving a hard punishment, because of the murder, Kuroh had left the Scepter 4 an interesting surprise.
- - - - -
"Fushimi-kun... Is this the way the two men were tied?" The leader of the Scepter 4 asked with his monotone voice, although he was quite surprised.
"It appears so, Captain." The black haired man clicked his tongue, flipping through the pictures, given him from the report on the murder case.
Both of the men were tied high on the clock tower of the school, blindfolded.
It took Scepter 4 ages to pull them down. But whoever had done that, had only a few minutes to pull them there, their chances of escape falling to zero percent.
"Interesting way to keep the bad guys, if you ask me." Munakata chuckled.
