|Eric Sōlt|
You once were one of those lonely people, never able to find the right person, always tried to be used as dolls.
But you weren't anymore.
Why?
Let's see.
~~~~~
It was one of those warm days for March, which the sun shined so bright and there was no cold air to freeze your bones. Most birds were singing, embraced in the warm light from the sun.
It was also one of those days people enjoyed being with their families and kids.
But what about you?
You just walked aimlessly in a direction, unknown for you, trying to ignore the laughter of joy that ringed in your ears.
There was absolutely no logic in this. You once were happy, but that happiness was stolen from you, making you unable to search for something new, scared that you'd be used around. Like they tried. People did try to play around with you, but ended up disappointed as you escaped everty time from their grasp.
Probably it was because of your figure that helped you escape. And probably because of that people wanted to use you as a toy.
Eh, there are many many answers, yet you did not know which one was the right one.
Thoughts had control over your mind when you crashed into a few people.
"Excuse me for my clumsiness." You mumbled quickly, running past them.
You ran in the nearest café, taking a few deep breaths. Running wasn't one of your favourite things to do.
You saw a free table, deciding that you could take a break and drink something.
You read the menu, ordering yourself a (favourite drink) and waited till it came. You glanced over the tables, your (e/c) orbs catching a boy, same age as you or bigger, who ate a chocolate cupcake. He had his hoodie on, his blonde bangs covering most of his forehead and eyes.
He turned his head towards you, making you gulp, as you tried to do your best not to look at him. But it was hard. There was something strange in him.
You felt like it was ages, although it appeared that it was just a minute , when the girl from the café came, giving your (favourite drink). You mumbled a quick thank you and started drinking.
Soon, most of the liquid inside the glass was empty.
You heard the door open, instinctively glancing over there, your eyes widening.
A group of boys, the same one you crashed in, searched for something.
You did not know why, but you felt that things were getting bad if they found you, so you hang over your hoodie, hiding the locks of hair that fell on your cheeks.
You payed fir the drink and left the money on the table, glancing over the blonde boy for one last time before trying to go past the group.
One of the boy's shoulder crashed with your own, making you stumble forward. Locks of hair fell, making you hiss.
"Oi, sorry... bro...." The boy pulled you up, slipping the hoodie off, revealing your (h/c) hair.
You looked at them, your skin prickling.
You pulled your hand away, running through the door, trying to hide yourself in the crowd.
"A beautiful, warm day. Why do I have this feeling that soon everything will be fucked up?" You mumbled, looking behind you, seeking the boys following you. "Damn it!"
You pushed the people who stood in front of you, trying to be as careful as you could, but fast as the wind.
Soon, you reached streets, unknown for you.
The boys were still on your track, but stiffened as they saw you on the other side of the street.
"Be a nice little girl and come here. We promise we will be nice with you." One of them said, the others having a mischevious grin slapped across their faces.
You shook your head, glaring at each one of them.
"Come here or we will..."
"Or you will what?" A voice ringed across.
"What?" You looked next to yourself, the boy from the café appearing from the shadows of the street. He had something red embracing him. Like an aura... Like a flame.
"HOMRA?" You mumbled, looking at the group who had suddenly swallowed their tongues.
You heard once about them from a few old ladies in your block. They said that they were the most terrifying gang there has ever been in Shizume City. And that they also posses red flame. The uncontrollable red flame.
But of course you did not believe in that. It sounded more like a fairy tail then like a truth.
But now, seeing this boy.
That was the strange thing about him.
But his appearance was nothing like the appearance the old people described the members of HOMRA. This boy was rather lonely-looking like than evil or something like that. And his eyes gave the waves that he had suffered a lot.
"You will go away or what?" The boy said, coming in front of you, as if protecting you.
"Hey, man! We just wanted to play with the girl. Why don't you give her to us? After all, she doesn't belong to you." The boy smiled evily.
"Neither she belongs to you." His flame started glowing brighter and brighter.
They gulped, walking backwards, looking at each and ever direction.
But the boy wasn't going to them. What is...
You looked around, seeing more and more men appearing out of nowhere, red flames embracing them.
There was this man, with red hair, who's amber eyes looked at you, his cigarrete between his lips.
"Eric, take her away." He mumbled to the blonde boy.
"Yes, Mikoto-san!" He nodded, walking towards you.
You yelped, backing away from him.
"It's okay. I won't hurt you." Eric said, smiling warmly at you.
You then felt his fingers interwhining with yours, pulling you away from the scene that was abou to be formed.
"What's your name?" He asked you, making you sigh.
"(Y/N)."
"Nice to meet you, (Y/N)." Eric chuckled.
"No blood! No bone! No ash!" That's what you head back there.
"HOMRA..."
~~~~~
You looked boredly at the window of your apartment, lying on the bed, a half read book resting on your stomach.
"What's the matter, (Y/N)?" Eric asked, pulling you closer to him, his chin resting on your head. The book fell off the bed with a silent thud, it's pages closing.
"Nothing. I just thought about my life and the day I met you for the first time." You mumbled, looking at your wrist where the HOMRA symbol was.
Things changed a lot since then and now you were one of them. It was funny when you walked past the grannies and paps that always sat in front of the block, telling each something new. And right now, the most commented topic there was you and the bad boy that always walked with you.
Eric wasn't a bad boy at all. In fact, after you found out what personality Eric had, made you more open to him until you both confessed to each other your attractions, which soon formed into love.
The bond that no one could ruin.
"Yeah, I remember each detail about that day too." He chuckled, making you roll your eyes.
"You were there after all, you baka." You said.
"I'm just jocking with you." He kissed the top of your head.
"Say... Eric.." You turned around facing him.
"Hmm? What?" He looked sleepy.
"I love you."
"Love you too, (Y/N)." He kissed you, his warm lips that were once cold, pressed onto yours.
Maybe you did not have too search for the right person.
Time will show you the right path, as they say. And it will also show you the person you had to continue your journey with.
And you were happy that this person was Eric Sōlt.
