Chapter 12

POV: Ahri

Part 1.

I've been in bed, curled up in a ball hugging my throw pillow for a while now. My thoughts felt scrambled, none of this any sense to me. This is different from previous years. I felt so drawn to (Y/n), like it was instinctual. It wasn't just his scent, it was something else.

"What's happening to me? I don't go into heat for another two months....is there something about (Y/n) that's making me like this? Could it be that I'm seeing (Y/n) as—" I stop my thoughts there, shaking my head "No that wouldn't be possible...that's a vastaya thing, only a vastaya can be 'that' to another vastaya"

I sigh before rolling over onto my opposite side. I hate feeling like this, that I can't control my own body. I then get off my bed and walked over to my vanity and grabbed a bottle of pills. I open the bottle and take a pill before placing it in my mouth and swallowing. I place the bottle down and sighed once more.

"I hope the suppressants help with what ever is happening to me right now"

POV: You

It's been about five or six hours since Evelynn and I arrived at Syndra's Boutique. I had my arms out and Gwen was finishing up her job while Evelynn and Syndra sat on a bench chatting while looking my way. Gwen was working on the third suit, Evelynn wanted three made which is understandable to say the least. I didn't mind all this much besides me standing here for hours.

"Almost done dear?" Evelynn asks Gwen.

"Yes almost" Gwen replied as she continued her excellent handy work.

"Syndra darling, we should do a collaboration some time soon, what do you think?" Evelynn suggest to Syndra.

"That sounds marvelous, we could do it at the launch of your next album once that happens" Syndra says.

"That would be the most optimal time to do so" Evelynn adds.

"And done" Gwen says as she finished up. Gwen takes the fitted jacket off of me, being the last article of clothing that needed to be done in the third suit.

"That you Gwen" I say to her with a small smile.

She smiles back "No problems, it's my job"

"How long would it take to finish all three suits?" Evelynn asks Gwen.

"Hmm, a few days max" Gwen replies, thinking about it.

"That should do, we don't have anything planned in the next few days" Evelynn says.

My phone starts to go off and I pull it out of my pocket to see who it was. The girls looked at me curiously "Sorry, I got to take this" I say before walking away.

I answer the phone as I get to the front of the store "(Y/n)" I hear through the phone.

"Yes sis?" I ask.

"I was just about to visit you and I saw some movers coming in and out of your apartment. Did something happened?" She asks me.

"Shit, so much has been happening I forgot to tell her"

"Shit, I'm sorry, Ill send you my address and stop by in an hour. I'll explain everything" I tell her.

"Alright, see you then" She replies then hangs up.

I put my phone back in my pocket and sighed "What was that about darling?" Evelynn asks as she walked up to me.

"It was my older sister" I say then looked at her "Do you mind if she comes over?"

Evelynn smirks and shakes her head "Not at all,  it gives us a chance to meet her. I do hope we give a good impression"

"That would be a good idea when it comes to my older sister" I tell her.

I then sigh internally "Fuck"

{Time Skip}

Evelynn and I are back at the penthouse and I informed the others that my older sister was coming over. Good news was they seemed glad that they were going to meet her, though I can't say that she'll on how she'll feel about them however. We are on the couch watching TV, Evelynn was inside my personal space, being really close to me. I did notice Ahri, who was sitting the farthest away from me as she could. Before I could really think much on it, there was a knock on the door.

"That must be her" I say and I get up off the couch.

The girls do as a well but they stayed in the living room. I go to the door and opened it, seeing sheriff of Piltover herself in front of me, not in her uniform. Her hair flowing down and her face relaxed, for me it was easy to tell that she was stressed still even when not on duty. She smiled at me and hugged me.

"You started to worry me when I saw the movers" She tells me.

"I know Caitlyn, sorry, a lot of things have happened in the past week and a half" I reply then she pulls away from the hug.

"I assume one of things will explain why you live in a luxurious place like this?" She says.

"Yes, Come in" Caitlyn walks in the door and I close it behind her "I guess to have things make sense, I'm a bodyguard now"

"Let me guess, what you were doing in college landed you this job?" Caitlyn questions while raising a brow.

"Yup"

She sighs "I still wish you didn't do what you did. I know you did it for a good cause but still"

"I know, I know, can't change it now" I state.

I walk into the living room with Caitlyn tailing me. The girls see her and Akali immediately jumps over the couch and gets behind the couch. She then peaks over it, looking at us, the girls looked slightly confused by her reaction.

"What's the she doing here!?" Akali questions.

"Akali, your lucky I'm off duty right now" Caitlyn says.

"You two know each other?" I question while looking between them.

"Very well" Caitlyn says "I have to constantly chase her all about after she vandalizes a building"

"It's art!" Akali retorts, still hiding behind the couch.

"Be lucky that I'm not here for you" Caitlyn states.

I sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose "Everyone, this is my older sister Caitlyn. She's the Sheriff of Piltover"

"Who are you girls?" Caitlyn asks them.

"Well, there's Ahri, Kai'sa, Evelynn, and you already know who Akali is. They're K/DA, and I'm they're bodyguard" I tell Caitlyn while motioning to each of them.

"Hmm, I see, I suppose it's better then working at that IT place" Caitlyn says with light sounding of approval in her tone.

"Let's go outside to I can explain everything to you" I say to Caitlyn.

I take Caitlyn outside, and we sit down at the patio table. I wanted to straight to the point. There was no beating around the bush, nor that I wanted to either. The situation was fucked and still didn't make any sense on why it happened.

"What happened?" Caitlyn asks me as she crossed her legs and tapped one of her fingers on the table. I sensed the concern in her voice.

I sighed "Got fired from my job for just about no reason, I got home and found April in our bed with another guy"

"April cheated on you? That seems very unlike her. You two worked so well together" Caitlyn says.

"I know, I didn't see any signs either" I state to her "She took all the money I stowed away too. I don't even know how she found it"

"Hmm" Caitlyn hums, thinking about the situation "That doesn't make much sense for her. I never got the impression of someone who'd take advantage of you, let alone a cheater"

"I know, but that's what happened" I tell her.

"Did she try to explain what happened?" Caitlyn question and I raised a brow.

"Of course she did, but why the hell would I of listened only for her to spout some bullshit" I tell Caitlyn and she just shook her head.

"Your anger got ahold of you didn't it?" She questions and stayed silent "Thought so, look, I understand where you are coming from (Y/n), but did you ever think to question something that was out of character? With our knack for noticing out of the ordinary details, you would of figured something could of been off"

I sigh "I'm sorry, it's just that I was so blinded by rage when I saw it. I tried to call her the next day but she didn't pick up"

"I suggest that when you can, you ask her what happened. Then maybe you can find some closure on it" Caitlyn says.

If it wasn't this specific situation with these specific variables, I would off tossed the idea to talk to her again to the curb, to ask her why she threw our relationship away for some dick. But with this situation, the idea to talk to her has some merit to it.

"Alright, I'll try to get ahold of her" I say and Caitlyn smiles.

"It's the right thing to do" She tells me then says "Let's go back inside, I'd like a word with the ladies inside"

"Okay" I reply.

We stand up then we walked back inside. Caitlyn makes her way to the couch and sits down, she sat in a position where she could look at all of the girls at once. As I was about to sit down Caitlyn stops me.

"Do you mind if we talk in private? How about you start dinner?" Caitlyn says and I smile back.

"I'll make your favorite then" I say then walked over to the kitchen.

POV: Ahri

(Y/n) goes into the kitchen to start dinner. The four of us looked at the sheriff of Piltover who sat in front of us with her legs crossed. To be honest, her presence was slightly intimidating, even though she didn't look it. I'm sure the only one of us who didn't feel it was Evelynn.

"There's no need to be tense girls"  Caitlyn says which only makes the aura of intimidation worse.

"Uh, it's kinda hard when you're the sheriff of Piltover" Akali states.

Caitlyn sighs "Figured much. Anyway, I wanted to talk to you girls about (Y/n). I know by technicality that your his employers, but can you take good care of him. He's been through a lot in his life"

"H-He's told us how he used to get in a lot of fights because he's powerless" Kai'sa says.

"So (Y/n) told you already, that's good to know, he isn't very open about being powerless" Caitlyn tells us which was understandable.

"There's nothing to worry, we don't mind that he's powerless" Evelynn states to her.

"I'm glad, however there is something I'd like you girls to keep note of. If he ever gets angry, he can become blind by it and sometimes he can say and do things he'd end up regretting" Caitlyn tells us.

"Are you saying that he would hit one of us?" I say with a concerned voice.

"Heavens no, I'm saying that at times when he can be brutally honest at times when he's blinded by rage. Though, depending on the situation, his fists is his honesty" Caitlyn tells us.

She's worried about him, it's obvious that she's seen him do and say things that he's ended up wishing he had never done or said. No one is perfect, everyone has their demons no matter how little they are.

"What happened last time he got like that?" Akali questions.

"The last time that I know of him getting to that degree was back when he shattered a guys jaw, broke his nose and three of his ribs" Caitlyn tells us "Please don't judge him too hard on that, he can be very protective of who he cares about"

Evelynn smiles "I'd say that's a good quality to have, no matter the severity, that's my take on it"

"A man who protects the ones he cares for is one of the best qualities a man can have" I add with a small smile.

"Yeah, I mean, as long as we don't piss him off (Y/n) is a nice guy to hang around" Akali says.

"R-right" Kai'sa says.

Caitlyn giggles a bit "Thank you girls for swing him that way. Please take care of my brother for me" She says then looks at Akali "and Akali"

"Yeah?" Akali says.

"For taking care of my brother, I guess I can let your graffiti slide" Caitlyn says.

Akali jumps from her seat "Really!, you'd do that!" She exclaims.

"Yes, as long as you keep up the good work, they are very 'interesting', and I won't have to stress my self and chase you all over the city either" Caitlyn says with a smile.

Akali smiled brightly then rushes over to Caitlyn and bear hugs her "Thank you thank you thank you!!"

(Y/n) then walks into the room and he had a tea kettle and some cups "I made some tea before I started co-" he says then pauses when he sees Akali bear hugging Caitlyn "Did I miss something?"

Akali immediately retracts her arms and plants her self back on to the couch. Caitlyn giggles once more "It's nothing to worry about"
