Chapter 64

POV: You

Part 1.

It's been about a month since April woke up, April got released from the hospital a week ago Things have been, on edge. That's because April has been on edge. Every night she's been home, she has a nightmare. I've been spending my nights with her, to comfort her. There is only so much that can be done in a situation like this.

"Ugh, there's nothing to watch" Akali says as she laid with her head in my lap as she flipped through the movies and shows on the TV.

"It's not that there isn't anything, just nothing you want to watch" I state as I watched her flip through the different content.

"You know what I meant" She says, frantically clicking in the remote "Ain't Qiyana supposed to be moving in today?"

"Yeah, probably has a shit ton of shit" I state.

"Is it so hard to only have things you actually wear?" Akali questions openly.

"No, but you are all celebrities, and women, so it's bound to happen" I reply to her.

"What do you mean? I've worn all my clothes at least once" Akali says ass she glances up at me.

"I wasn't talking about you" I state plainly.

"Oh. I knew that" Akali states.

"No you didn't" I state then heard a knock at the door "Looks like she's here"

I move Akali off my lap before standing up. Akali frowning as I do "I was enjoying that spot you know"

"Too bad" I state.

I walk over to the door and opened it up, on the other side was a smiling Qiyana "Your mocha queen is here!" Qiyana sings before hugging me "So, how are you?"

"I'm doing fine, but-" I reply before she finishes what I was going to say.

"You're worried about April. Guessing she's not doing much better?" She questions.

"No, constantly secluding herself in her room, nightmares every night, things aren't working out too good" I say with a sigh.

"Things will get better sweetie" Qiyana says with a smile then pecks a kiss on my lips.

"Where's all your stuff?" Akali questions as she walks up to us.

"It will be here tomorrow. I just got an over night bag for today" Qiyana says. Qiyana picks up a bag next to her and puts it on her shoulder.

"I see, guess I'll show you to your room then" I reply.

The three of us walk away from the door before making our way upstairs "Where's the others?" Qiyana asks.

"Eve's in her room. Ahri and Kai'sa went shopping then Sona and Seraphine are downtown at a music store" I reply.

"More like Ahri dragged Kai'sa to go shopping with her, saying "shopping is so boring alone" and stuff like that" Akali says.

"Yeah well, it is" Qiyana states.

The three of us neared April's room, Qiyana's room being down the same hall. Qiyana notices the slim hole in the door, a similar hole in the wall on the opposite side of the hallway. The hole was at head level.

"What happened there?" Qiyana questions.

"It was April. She's been on edge since she got home. She has a knife floating infront of the door. If you knock wrong, there goes the knife" I explain to her and Qiyana makes a pained expression.

"It's that bad, huh" Qiyana says.

"If it wasn't for my ninja reflexes that knife would have been in my head" Akali states.

"I'm going to check on her real quick" I say to the two. I go up to the door and lightly knock against it with the back of my index finger "April, it's (Y/n"

".....Come..in..." A faint voice says inside.

I crack open the door and stick my head inside. April was lying in her bed, facing away from me. I knew she was stuck in her head, depressed "Hey, Qiyana's here"

"She is?" April responds.

"Yeah, wanna see her?" I say. April stays quiet then I ask "Want me to stay?

"Yeah...." She replies.

"Let me show Qiyana to her room first, then I'll be back. Promise" I tell her.

"Okay..." She says before I close the door.

"Everything good?" Qiyana questions.

"No" I state "Anyway, your room"

We walk a bit more, walking past Sona's room. We get to the door and open it "This one's yours Qiyana"

"Thanks, guess I should leave you to April. Seems like she needs you" Qiyana says to me solemnly.

"Yeah. I don't know what to do though. She's the one that's good at helping with mental issues, yet, she's the one with them" I say.

"You could always take her out of the city for a bit. The city can be so depressing sometimes" Akali says "Wanna know what sounds good, fresh air. Not stale polluted air. Nature of the forests and flowing water. Makes me think about back home"

A light bulb went off in my head, an idea "Hou just gave me a great idea, thanks Akali" I say then give her a kiss before walking back April's room.

"You're welcome?" Akali says in a questioning tone.

I can take April and the girls to the farm, Two birds one stone. They get to meet my parents and April can get out of the city. Also, my mom and April are close so I'm sure mom will help bring April out of this. I lightly tap on April's door before stepping inside. She knows it's me. With a small smile on my face, I get into bed with April, lying behind her. I hug her from behind, I feel her hug my arms.

"Hey....What do you think about getting out of the city for a week or so and stay at the farm?" I ask April.

April shuffles a bit, rolling over to face me. I pull my arms away from her as she did. April was completely down in the dumps, she didn't even want to look me in the eyes. Every time she does, all she sees is what she can't give me.

"I'm listening..." She replies softly.

I brush her bangs out of the way of her face "Fresh air might be good for you, you know. An actually vacation of sorts for all of us would be nice don't you think?" I say.

"Maybe..." She says.

"Also, there just happens to be a car I need to fix" I say to her. April looks up at me our eyes meet. I see a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

"The car.." She says then hugs me tightly "You...over came it...."

"More like came to terms with it, love" I tell her.

"Hmmm...I guess...it wouldn't hurt to get out of the city a little" She says before placing her forehead against mine "You don't hold anything against me do you (Y/n)"

"No. Why would I, it's not your fault what happened. If anything it's mine" I tell her.

"Please....don't blame yourself out of guilt.." April states.

There is a light knock on the door, April jumps in her skin. The knife April had at the door then goes through the door and you hear it hit the wall of the hallway. I sit up and April death gripped my arm. The door opened and we see that it's Evelynn. She was opening the door with her lasher.

"Sorry to spook you darling, no need to worry, I'm not hurt. I used my lasher to knock on the door" Evelynn says from the door way. Evelynn was wearing some leggings and an oversized a shirt. To specifically, a shirt that it seems she stole from me. A man in red with a red flag and a white 'X' painted behind him.

"You need something Eve?" I ask her.

"I just wanted to check on her but it seems you are already doing that" Evelynn says with a smile before walking over and sitting at the edge of the bed "How are you doing darling?" Evelynn asks while looking at April.

"Fine...I guess..." April says.

"That's good, though seems things could be better" Evelynn says.

April sat up, hugging my arm. Her hair disheveled, a tired look on her face, her right hand on my arm, the visible scar from where the knife went through her hand. April was wearing a baggy shirt and gym shorts, going out was not in her cards at all.

"No matter what I think about....my own body is scared...I know he isn't here, yet, my body just wants to shut itself down" April tells us, a soft tired tone whistling in her voice then looks at me "Even just now. I knew, you were here for me, though, just the sound of a knock sets me off"

"Oh darling" Evelynn says.

"Akali gave me an idea, Eve, what do you think about taking a week or so off and get out of the city?" I suggest to Evelynn and she crosses her legs.

"Like a vacation?" She questions.

"Yeah, but we wouldn't be going far, just my parents farm" I say and put my arm around April "I think it would be good to get her out of the house"

"Your parents farm? Sounds fun. Getting an actual vacation sounds good" Evelynn says with a smile "I'm sure we can make some time. I'll get on it"

"Thanks Eve" I reply.

"There's actually something I'd like to talk to you about, both of you actually" Evelynn says. She takes a deep breath in then exhales "April, if you let me, I'd like to eat your pain" Evelynn states.

"Eat my pain?" She questions.

"Yes. I have the ability to eat pain. I did it to (Y/n) when you were in the hospital, but that was a bit different then as it was an emotional time" Evelynn explains to her "I want to help you darling, I care about you dear, the same way I do for the other girls, that's why I'm asking you"

April looks at me "What do you think (Y/n)?" April asks me.

"It's up to you April" I say.

"I don't need an answer right away, alright. I'll take a bit at a time, so it can be more natural. Not like how I was with (Y/n)" Evelynn says to her.

"Let me think on it....right now...I just want to cuddle with (Y/n)" April states.

Evelynn smiles "Alright darling, I'll talk to you later" Evelynn then kisses me "You too darling, see you in a bit"

Evelynn gets up then walks out of the room, closing the door behind her. April lays back down and I do as well, holding her close to me "Everything will get better April...Promise"
