The sun is risinging and on the shore of one of the Alolan islands stands a young man, on his shoulder is his trusted first pokemon Pikachu, behind him the rest of his Pokemon, resting after a tough training session. This man is the Alola champion and a Pokemon master, he is none other than Ash Ketchum. Currently they are all staring out into the direction of the sunrise, but that's not what they are looking at. They are looking at a cruise ship that is coming into view, on its way to dock at that very island. "Good morning." Ash turned around to the direction of the voice and saw a sight of pure beauty, in a white sun dress and a straw hat was none other than his wife and first Aloha queen, Serena Ketchum. Ash smiled as she walked up to him, "Good morning to you too beautiful," Ash as he kissed her, then took a knee and kissed her seven month pregnant stomach, "and good morning to you too." Serena giggled at this, she loved when Ash kissed her pregnant stomach, it reminded her of how perfect there life together is. As Ash stood up Serena looked toward the sunrise and saw the ship, "they're on that ship aren't they?" "Yes, the monsters, the traitors, and possibly a one last friend, all of them," Ash said looking at the ship again. "Even though what they did was wrong he might not be a friend after you turn them in," stated Serena. "I know, we'll just have to what and see. It all happened five years ago and it all starts to end tomorrow after the tournament starts," Ash said, right before his stomach started growling. Everyone sweet dropped from this, then Serena giggled, "come on, I came to get you anyway. Breakfast is almost ready and the others should be arriving soon." With that they all started to head back to the house.

This wasn't a long walk at all though, being the Alola champion and Alola queen Ash and Serena have plenty of money, so they bought a large plot of land right at the beach and built their dream house. The house wasn't oversized at all, it was three stories tall, the first belonged to the Pokemon so the could have plenty of room when they just wanted to sleep out of their poke balls, the second floor had a deck that faced the ocean and contained everything other than the four bedrooms which were on the third floor. When they arrived they walked to the front of the house where there were two picnic tables pushed together, all set for breakfast. Pikachu and Greninja headed off on there own to Sylveon and Delphox who were watching a brown and yellow Evee and a Froakie playing together in the grass. As Ash and Serena sat down the door to the house opened and several people started to come out. First was Bonnie, she got her starter several months after Ash and Serena left Kalos and is currently taking a break from her travels to check on her favorite ships. The next two were Clemont and Korrina, both are members of Ash's elite four and are engaged. Shortly after Bonnie started her own journey Clemont went to Shalour city to ask Korrina out and she said yes. Almost a year later Ash called them both and asked them to be the first members of his elite four. Clemont wanted to accept right away but wanted to wait for Korrina who was hesitant, she was supposed to run her families gym, but as soon as Gurkinn heard the offer he told her the opportunity to be an elite four was an honor and that she couldn't pass up the opportunity, two days later Clemont and Korrina were on a flight to Alola. The people of Alola loved the idea that their champion and Alola Queen were a couple as well as two members of his elite four. They loved it even more six months ago when they saw a photo of them on a beach at sunset with Clemont on one knee proposing. Bonnie called him as soon as she saw the picture screaming her congratulations to the two of them. The next person would be Grace Serena's mother, she moved to Alola about one year after Ash and Serena got married, she said it was so she could be closer to her only child. She decided to enjoy an early retirement, but sometimes helps at professor Kukui's Pokemon school teaching students how to ride various Pokemon. Lastly is Delia Ash's mother and her Pokemon Mimey. Ash got his mother to move to Alola shortly after becoming the Alola champion. This way he can take care of her and keep her safe after the ordeal she went through while he was in Alola. Delia said it wasn't that bad, however Ash convinced her to go see doctor after he got her to Alola and he told them a very different story. According to the doctor Delia was suffering from one of the worst cases of malnutrition he had ever seen in an adult and that if they didn't get her the help she needed when they did she could have suffered permanent side effects. When Ash moved her to Alola she didn't want to stay with Ash and Serena as she didn't want to impose on them, so Ash instead purchased a little more land right on the beach a short walk from his and Serena's house and per her choosing had a small house built just big enough for her and Mimey.

Everyone sat down ready to eat, on the tables were several plates with waffles and bacon, as well was some bowls of fresh fruit salad. Ash was about to start grabing some food when he realized there were some people missing, "Hey, where's......" Ash wasn't able to finish as they heard a loud cry coming from the sky. They looked up and saw a Skarmory coming in for a landing, as well as a boat grounding itself on the beach. Climbing off of the Skarmory was none other than Ash's third member of his elite four Gary and his girlfriend Lillie. Ash offered Gary the third position as an elite four after he helped him find his mother in Viridian city after he returned to Kanto as the Alola champion four years ago. After arriving in the Alola region he decided to visit professor Kukui to learn more about the unique Alola Pokemon, however when he learned that Gary did professor Oaks field research he asked him to be a substitute teacher at his Pokemon school since one of his teachers quit rather suddenly. Gary did such a good job that he offered him a full time position when he wasn't busy with his duties as an elite four. It was because of this position that he met Lillie, she was a student of his who was actually a bit scared of Pokemon. Gary took notice of this and started spending extra time with her to help her with this. Even though they were only a year apart in age and they were both attracted to each other Gary decided it was best for them to wait till after she was no longer a student. So the day after the school year was over and she was done with school, Gary asked her out and they've been dating ever since. "Ha, too slow," Gary yelled to the young man with purple hair and girl with blue hair getting out of the boat at the beach. They were none other than Ash's final elite four member Paul, and his wife and one Serena's best friends Miette. After Gary heard what happened to Ash not only did he reach a whole new level of anger, he also took any and every field research job his grandfather professor Oak had as a way to look for Ash. During his search in the Sinnoh region he saw Paul at a Pokemon center and decided to ask if he knew anything about Ash, not knowing he had ever meet Ash. After explaining to Gary he knew Ash Gary told him about the betrayal. After the story Paul decided to do like Gary and search for Ash, giving Gary his contact information so they could share any information they turned up about Ash. A few months later he got a call from Gary's cell phone, but it wasn't Gary calling it was Ash. After Ash filled him in on wheres hes been and up to he offered him a position as one of his elite four, to which he accepted. After Serena confessed her feelings to Ash she and Miette were able to become best of friends, so much so that she was one of Serena's bridesmaids at her wedding. That is where she met Paul, as he was her escort since he was one of Ash's groomsmen. They started dating shortly after, Miette even moved to Alola to be closer to him, and they got married six months ago.

"You only beat us here was because you were flying and challenged us on the way as you passed overhead," Paul responded in an irritated tone. Gary and Paul, even though they were friends, developed a rather heated rivalry. Which tended to annoy their significant others, as they left the two of them to continue there rivalry and went to join everyone else at the picnic tables. "Sorry were late, you know how Gary gets," Lillie apologized. "It's fine, your not that late we were just sitting down," said Serena. The girls came over and gave Serena a hug, "wow Serena, that boy is going to be huge, you already look like your going to pop," said Miette as she looked at Serena's face for her reaction. Serena just smiled, "Sorry, but your just going to have to wait to find out the gender like everyone else." As soon as Ash and Serena told their friends and family that they were going to have a baby everyone was bugging them to know the gender. So Serena decided to have some fun and not tell anyone the gender, now only Ash, Serena, and the doctors know the gender, they even keep the nursery locked so nobody can get inside to see how it's decorated.

Eventually everyone was sitting and enjoying breakfast. They spoke about everything from Serena's pregnancy, to Korrina and Clemont's wedding, to just general conversations about Pokemon battles and performances. This lasted for a while until the main reason they were there came up, the tournament.

Three months ago the world Champion suddenly with out any reason announced his retirement. Mr. Goodshow being a man who loves a good Pokemon battle decided the best way would be to have a tournament to decide who the next world Champion would be. He decided that the participants would be all the regional champions, their elite fours, any gym leaders that wanted to participate, as well as any trainer who had participated in at least two official Pokemon leagues and won at least one of them. Mr. Goodshow also decided since Alola was the newest region to have a Pokemon league and they haven't hosted any of his tournaments yet, that that was where it would be. The other champions even though they wanted to host the tournament in there regions decided it was the best idea. Lance held out against it being held in Alola the longest, until Cinthia and Diantha said something about laying out on the beach in their new bikinis, he quickly changed his opinion after that comment.

The group discussed there chances and some even trash talked while Ash stayed silent until, "they're going to be there." Everyone grew silent, Gary spoke up first, "Are you sure?" Ash nodded, "I got someone in the league who had access to the registrations list to let me see it. Misty, Iris, Brock, and Cilian will be participating." "What about the little brother, I would have thought he would have signed up," asked Paul. "He did. I'm just not including him with them since he wasn't there and I don't know where he stands," replied Ash. "I've seen some of his interviews while he's been at the leagues he was participating in, I think we know where he stands," stated Gary. "I just want to be certain. Especially after the first group is dealt with, he might not forgive me."

After some more talk about the tournament the group then had a few Pokemon battles to prepare, even Bonnie who couldn't participate in the tournament just so she could get some training in. The group then had lunch and parted ways for the day.

It was dark now, everyone was asleep except for Ash. Ash was sitting on top of his house, from there he could see the stadium the league will be held in. "Everything is falling into place, soon the last of my dreams will be a reality," Ash said to himself. Unbeknownst to Ash there was a man standing on top of the stadium looking in the direction of Ash's home, "It's almost time to make things right, time to finally meet my son."
