*Dani's POV*

"IVY!" Jake and I screamed. Jake was running towards Ivy as I attempted to concentrate. Earlier I tried to be cool and turn into a dragon but it wouldn't work. Now that I needed to turn into something useful but my body wouldn't let me. It had dragon finally pinned out.

I felt myself transforming. I grew taller and my skin turned bright red and scaly. My nails shot out and grew about 4 feet longer. My arms moved closer to my back as extensions grew out the rim of them creating wings, a lighter colour then my skin. Spikes grew out from my back, my legs and my tail that was so big I had to curl it around the tree so I didn't destroy anything in here.

This is awesome.....

Was all I could think.

Jake was cradling Ivy in his arms trying to protect her from the shaking. I walked over to them and every time I took a step the ground shook. I made it over to them and reached my arm out to pick the both of them up. I did so as the ground stopped shaking and the look on their faces was sicking. They looked at me as if I was about to kill them... it was...

depressing...

"Dani!" Jake yelled at me with terror in his voice. Ivy, my best friend was too scared to talk "Please! Put us down!"

I did as he asked, I will never be able to get the look they gave me out of my head. They looked like I had just killed their entire family right in front of there eyes and was coming towards them with a knife in hand. Even that, is an understatement.

I transformed back into my normal self. Ivy couldn't look at me as Jake put his hand up to protect himself.

"Jake I-" He still looked scared. I had no words.

"Dani?" Ivy said standing up and walking towards me

"Yes" I said feeling tears form in my eyes.

"That was-" She seemed to be looking for the words.

"Terrifying?" I suggested, my voice cracked

"AWESOME!!" She said and grabbed my forearm.

"What?" I said my tears disappearing.

"You just turned into a freaking dragon! You should've seen Jakes face he was terrified it was hilarious!" She started laughing at Jake and I joined in as well. Until a look of panic rushed onto is face.

"Marko and Sasha!" He yelled running to a new found opening in the ground.

"What?!" I yelled

"They fell in there!" Jake yelled back.

Ivy and I shard a brief look before running after him. Me wanting to use my powers I just flew and Ivy saw and we ended up racing. We passed Jake and flew above the pit.

"MARKO!" I yelled "SASHA!"

"We're down here!" I heard Marko yell back.

"Can you guys fly out?" Ivy yelled. They seemed to be having a debate on heater or not they should tell us something. Maybe what was down there. I don't know all I know is we had to get them out of there.

"Yah we're coming!" Sasha yelled.

And before I knew it, Marko was carrying Sasha up from the pit bridal style, and they landed on the ground in front of us. They both had a look in there eyes. A look of sadness. But the kind of sadness that you get when you remember something that happened. Like a pet dying or losing a family member or a friend.

"Are you guys okay?" Jake asked them

"Yah. We're fine" Sasha answered for both of them.

"What was down there?" Ivy asked

"Dirt. A lot of it" Marko responded

"Thats it?" I asked

"Basically"

"What does basically mean?" Jake asked

"There were rocks too"

"No shit sherlock" I joked

"Oh crap!" Ivy yelled looking down at her watch.

"What is it?" I asked

"I'm late! My moms gonna kill me!" She ran towards the house and the rest of us flew after her. Minus Marko. He ran. and beat us all.

"Stop!" He said appearing in front of her.

"Marko I have to go" She said trying to push him away.

"We have to make a meeting time" Sasha said catching up

"Meeting for what?" Ivy questioned

"We should meet back here tomorrow. what time works best for you guys?" Sasha put simply.

"How 'bout 9:00 okay? Now will you guys please let me go?" Ivy tried one more time to get past Marko.

"What do you need from the house?" He asked

"My bag" She responded

In less time then we could process Marko was back holding everyones things. Ivy grabbed her purse and ran out of the dome not wanting to be late for dinner.

"I'd better go too. My moms gonna flip" Jake laughed

"Yah I'm gonna leave also" I said

"Okay I just gotta check something out at the house then I'm gonna leave." Sasha said "Remember guys 9:00!" She said running back to the house with her purse in hand.

"I'm gonna follow her and make sure she doesn't get into any trouble" Marko said running past Sasha and into the house

"Race you to the exit?" Jake suggested

"Running or flying?"I asked

"Running"

"Okay"

"Three two one-"

"GO!" I cut him off running to the door. He may be the captain of the soccer field but I was still faster.

"You totally cheated" He complained

"Yo snooze you lose okay. And if your gonna be a sore loser then make like snails and escar-go!"I snapped

"HA ha your so funny" He responded in complete sarcasm.

"Whatever."

"Um Dani?" He asked completely serious "Do you have a car cause I kind need a ride. Oliver drove me to HQ earlier and I don't have a ride home."

"I don't have a car, Ivy is usually my ride."I responded truthfully.

"Oh"

"but...."

"But what?"

"We could always fly?" I suggested

"What?"He questioned

"We could fly it might be fun"

"Do you actually believe in this? I mean, we might wake up and all this is gone or we might wake up and realize that this was all just a dream"He said with no hope of anything in his eyes

"Jake thats why we have to enjoy it now while we can. Besides don't give up all hope. If this is a real thing and we don't wake up tomorrow totally normal again, then why not enjoy it. Come on what kid wouldn't kill to have superpowers?"

"I guess...."

"Come on. Unless you wanna walk home then knock yourself out."

"Fine" He complained

"Good, besides its not like we'll be together the whole time."

"Okay. Let's go" He sounded miserable and as to why, I truly didn't know.

We both began to float off the ground heading up higher into the sky until we were above the clouds. I kept doing flips and ticks in air trying to be cool and Jake just looked at me and laughed eventually joining in in the trick.

Finally we made it to my house, Jake said he didn't live to far so he was flew the rest of the way home. I made sure to land in the backyard just in case any of the neighbours saw and I walked into my house.

"Hey mom, hi grandpa."I said greeting my family. Dinner was already set on the table and the two of them were waiting for me

"Were have you been all day?" My mother complained. I got most of my looks from my mom. We shared the same green eyes the same blond hair, the same tanned skin and the same face shape.

"I was out with some friends we had a school project to work on."I lied

"Who was the project with?" She asked, not completely taking my my lie

"Ivy, Jake, and Oliver" I didn't mention Marko or Sasha because that would only lead to more questions. My grandpa stayed silent during all of this because he didn't understand what we were saying. He speaks Portuguese as his first and only language. Thats my heritage. Portuguese.

"Is that all?"My mother asked.

"Yah thats basically it" I said. We ate the rest of the dinner in silence, I helped my mom put everything away and she sent me to my room.

I stayed up a little later on my iPad until I finally fell to sleep.

4:00am. Thats the time I was rudely woken up.

I was calmly sleeping not bothering anyone when I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my balcony door.

I sat up and looked at my window and saw a familiar face grinning at me. I walked over and opened the door only for the familiar being to come walking in rather loudly.

"Oliver!" I whisper/yelled "what are you doing?!"

"was-hiccup-at my uncles bar- hiccup-and I saw her there-hiccup-and she was, flipping hot-hiccup-so one thing led to another and here I am" He had a lisp and was obviously drunk. He walked over to my dresser and leaned on it.

"Oliver, your drunk. Why didn't you go to Jakes house? and who is 'her'?" I asked

"NO!" he said raising his voice "Can't go to Jakes house! I can't Jake would get really angry. You won't like him when he's angry"

"Oliver be quiet" I ordered "Why would Jake be mad at you?" The more he spoke the more confused I got.

"Grace she-" He stopped and looked at me "Damn. your pretty"

"okay you've had enough to drink for one lifetime." I said pulling him away from my dresser and into my bathroom.I ordered him to stay in there as I quickly grabbed some blankets and such for him. He was in no state to drive and I had no car so he would have to stay here. I set up some stuff for him in the basement and laughed as he managed to follow me down the stair. Barely. But he managed.

"Okay Oliver what did Grace do?" I asked not knowing who this Grace girl was

"Grace Newman." He slurred "got into my pants"

Wait Grace Newman? As in Jakes girlfriend?What did he mean 'got into- oh shit. I cut myself off

"Oliver you didn't" I asked with concern

He lowered his head and nodded. Even in his drunken state he knew what he did was wrong.

"She was drunk and high, she asked me to do it! So I said f*ck it! Literally" He added quietly

"Oliver you can't tell Jake he would be crushed. And the flower guy said something that his powers are controlled by his emotions. We don't want a guy who's stronger the superman and angrier then hulk on our hands." I told him

"Dani, I have one more thing to-hiccup-tell you-" He passed out before he finished.I assumed whatever he was gonna say was the alcohol talking so I didn't think much of it. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed some Advil putting it on the coffee table beside him. I also wrote a note telling him to keep t quit and explaining everything else that had happened. I walked back upstairs wondering what he was going to say before the alcohol had taken over him.

Oh well. I shrugged.

He'll tell me everything in the morning.
