*Sasha's POV*

Dani had woken up about 10 minuets after Oliver left and she wouldn't stop looking between Marko and I, as if we had done something wrong.

Well, we have done something but thats besides the point.

I tried reading her mind but she was smart. Since learning I had the ability of mind reading Dani kept her mind cluttered and crazy so it was hard to understand, but when a few words slipped they would always have something me or Marko or.......

Anthony.....

A day doesn't go by that I don't think of Anthony.

Not a single day...

Since the accident...

But thats besides the point.

Dani wouldn't stop looking at us and it was a little concerning. I didn't want to finally get a chance of having friends only to lose them with my weirdness.

"Dani you okay?" Ivy asked

"Yah" She said half-heartedly "I'm fine" She sent Ivy a look saying 'I'll tell you later'

"So...." Marko said "do you guys want to do something?"

"We could try out some superpower stuff. It may be kinda fun" Ivy suggested 

"I'm up for that" Jake said "I want to learn how to control my new found strength and maybe not almost kill someone" 

"I'm in" Ivy said

"Sure" Dani agreed

"Oh no" I told her

"What why not?" Dani looked a little offended

"No offence but you may want to take it a little slow and maybe not transform completely for about an hour cause you may pass out again. Just an hour though, for precautions" 

She seemed sad by my reasoning but it was true. We didn't want anyone passing out again

"Fine" She mumbled "But only because your the smart one"

"I'm sorry Dani I just-" She cut me off

"I already agreed don't make me regret it. Besides I can help you with your power if you want" She suggested

"Wait wait wait!" Marko said interrupting us"I didn't agree maybe I don't want to practice"

"Marko" I shot "no offence, but what person hasn't wanted to be a superhero plus we wanna see how fast you can run"

"but-" he started. Jake cut him off

"Come on dude do it for your girlfriend" he gestured towards me

"She's not my girlfriend" he defended. Marko stayed planted on the floor while Jake, Dani and Ivy walked out. Leaving Marko and I in silence.

"Come on Marko. It was just a joke you should still practice" I said standing up and walking over to him

"I know it just wasn't funny... because... you know"

"Yah I know"

"Then why are we here!?" His voice became more angered as he spoke

"Marko you had no choice, we had to come back besides its fine its not like the tree's awake other wise we'd be screwed"

Silence

"wait. The tree is asleep right?" 

"I don't know even I've lost connection."

"Hey!" Ivy called from the garden "Are you guys coming or not?"

"Yah" I yelled back. "We should go" I offered him my hand and he took it using me to pull himself up

"Your right" He stated " I do want to practice it would be so cool"

"Yah but..." I mumbled

"But what?"

"But I'm always right and you know it"

"Yah I do" He gave a low chuckle

"Come on" I grabbed his hand and attempted to drag him to the door but he was a lot stronger then me.

"That means lets go?" I said in a voice saying 'duh'

"I know" He smirked letting go of my hand

He began walking and I simply looked at him. He passed me and planted a soft kiss on my cheek. I blushed and touched my cheek before running out of the house and into the garden. I ran down the stairs and almost bumped into Marko as I got to the second and final flight of stairs.

"I'm walking here!" He joked as I held in a laugh

"Okay Sasha" Ivy started "What do we do?"

"Why come to me?" 

"Cause your smart-er then us... In cases like this" Jake answered for her.

"Thanks. Okay then Ivy, you may want to stay in the air because it may make everyone's life a little easier if there's less people on the ground. Marko run laps and Dani or I can time you and maybe we could test if your speed works in air. We should also test how fast you guys can fly."

"Is that all?" Jake asked "I didn't get any instruction"

"I can help with that" Ivy said

"How?"

"just trust me."

"Okay?"

"Come on it'l be fun"

She grabbed his hand and with all her enthusiasm and excitement she pulled Jake to the other end of the dome.

"Okay then Marko do you wanna start?"I asked

"Sure. But let me get a few practice laps in" He responded

With that Marko disappeared in a zip.

"Dani. I want to try and read your mind for practice. I don't know how strong my power is gonna be so lets start with something simple." I suggested

"A number from one to one hundred" She said. She thought and I guessed correctly. We raised the numbers. I guessed correctly again. We continued this with number's until we got bored with it and began guessing movies, then music, then characters, and so on until we got to just in general just think. 

Did you and Marko ever go out?

Was the first thing she asked, mentally. 

The question shocked me. I didn't know how to answer. Or if I should answer. 

"What do you mean?"

I mean exactly what I asked she thought

"Okay. Why would you think that?"

Because I found this. She pulled a picture out of her pocket that I hadn't seen since a few years ago. The picture was of Marko and I. Anthony had taken the picture and I had hated him for it. I made him promise he would hide it... He must've hidden it in the house. The picture was taken from one of those instant printing cameras so it had the thick white border around it with words written on the bottom of the border. The picture itself was of, Marko and I. There was this park we used to go to all the time that was beside a highway so it went under a bridge and to get to the other side they built a tunnel. The tunnel walls were covered in graffiti and we went there one day, just the three of us. Antony brought his camera, like he did everywhere  and snuck a picture of Marko and I hiding under the bridge. I remember it perfectly. The way Marko's breath felt on my skin and the way he held me. He had his forehead against mine and we simply sat there. Enjoying each other's presence. When I heard a camera take a picture. I let go of Marko setting both of us in alert mode and when we realized it was just Anthony, I was going to strangle him for interrupting my boyfriend at the time. Yes. Marko and I dated. But I didn't want to remember it. We broke up because of Anthony. Because of this place... Just looking at the picture I wanted to cry. But I held it in. By examining the picture I realized without the writing on the bottom you wouldn't know it was Marko and I. The picture was a silhouette of us and the words on the bottom said Marko+Sasha=Marsha forever. I know. Weird ship name right?

Dani didn't need an answer, my silence answered for her.

Sasha It's okay She thought. I thanked her mentally for thinking it instead of saying it out loud, Marko would kill me.

"Yes" I started "Marko and I dated but only for 4 months before there was an accident and we broke up"

I don't know what to say...she admitted 

"Don't say anything. But where did you find that picture?"

In the journal in the bedside table

"what journal?"

Some guy named Anthony  left it there.

My heart dropped. Anthony's journal? He owned a journal that was somewhere as simple as in a bedside table and we never found it? I was about to ask Dani a bit more about the book when suddenly, Marko-running at top speed-crashed into me

"Ow" He complained. I was lying on my back with him on top of me. Both of us groaning in pain.

"Are you guys okay?" Dani said trying to help Marko off me.

"Oh my god Sasha! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you" Marko stood up immediately 

"Yah I get that a lot"

"Here I'll help you" I was trying to sit up when Marko offered me his hand and I took it. He easily pulled me to my feet. 

"Thanks"

"No problem" 

"Shall we time you now?" I asked 

"Sure" 

"Oh and Dani?" 

"Yes?"

"It's been longer then an hour you can try transforming now."

"Sweet!" She ran over to an opening in the field.

"How many laps?" Marko asked

"Lets start with one" I responded

"Okay"

"ready?"

"Yup"

"Okay. Go!"

Marko ran and in less then 0.5 seconds he was back

"Okay now two laps" I ordered after telling him his time.

Again in less then 0.5 seconds he was back.

We continued this until we got to 5 laps and his worse time was 1 second. No Joke.

"Still don't believe I'm fast?"He snickered

"Your not faster then light"I challenged

"are you testing me?"

"Why yes Marko Banks. I am. But it doesn't matter we need to test flight first."

"Fine have it your way." 

As he said that the tree began to move. Like vibrating kind-of move. The problem with that was the tree's roots went underneath the entire dome so the ground began to shake.

"Whats happening?" I asked falling to my knees and yelling over the noise.

"I don't know!" Marko yelled back "Here Sasha grab my hand" He was flying above me and because I was the only one who couldn't fly I was still on the ground on my knees. I reached up and grabbed his hand he pulled me up and I dangled between him and the ground. His grip was loosening on me so he took initiative and pulled me up using Both his arms. It wasn't working. I felt something under my feet that wasn't shaking so I looked down and saw nothing there. I assumed this was the work of Ivy so I put my feet flat on the object only for Marko's grip around me to give up. He notice me not totally dying while on the invisible platform so he came down and stood beside me.

"IVY!" I heard two people call. Dani and Jake were flying after something I assumed was Ivy. Her head was bleeding and she wasn't moving. The two of them dove after her as the platform disappeared.Marko wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a tight hug as the platform disappeared and had he not grabbed me I would've fallen the 20ft drop to the ground.

"I've got you" He whispered. The shaking finally came to a stop and Marko gently floated to the ground.

"I've got you" He mumbled into my hair as our feet hit the ground.

Suddenly there was a loud Roar.

A real Roar. 

Coming from the dragon. 

That was in the middle of the field.

With Ivy and Jake in its claws....
