Haneul's POV

Jimin was up and about the house before me. It was a little embarrassing for me as I usually woke earlier in the morning. Today, however, on this beautiful Thursday morning, I lifted my head off the plush pillow, to see my fiance sitting at my bedside,  already dressed for the day; grinning excitedly at me.

He held the remains of a large, green, apple in his right hand.

"Good morning Jagiya! Are you hungry?" Jimin asked me, smiling happily. He threw his arms around me in a warm embrace.

"G' morning Jimin." I sputtered, taken aback by his enthusiasm.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked, checking my temperature with the back of his palm.

"Yes, thank you. And yes I am a little hungry." I admitted as I sat up in bed.

"Okay. You get ready while I heat up breakfast. I made toasted sandwiches earlier, but you were asleep, so I waited for you." He said, chomping on the last bit of his apple.

"I was a little hungry, so I snacked on this while I waited for you." He smiled shyly.

"No... You should eat. I don't know why I got up this late, I'm usually an early riser." I say shyly, lifting the covers off me to get off the other side of the bed. I slipped on the fluffy slippers he'd given me last night as a Valentine's Day present and walked around the bed to sit next to him.

"It's only 7am Jagiya. Don't be hard on yourself. You've been through a lot in the last 24 hours. Besides, I'm taking you with me to the station after breakfast. You can check in on your store afterwards." He says in a low deep voice, then pecks my cheek.

"Okay." I squeaked out. He's making me feel all hot and bothered.

I can't describe it well.

"Uh- Jimin..." I say, then decide to stop before I sounded ungrateful.

"What's wrong Haneul?" He asks me, concern creasing his forehead once more.

"It's nothing. Nevermind." I say as I get up to visit the bathroom for the morning.

"No, I want us to have clear communication Jagiya. Tell me everything you're thinking. Don't ever hesitate to share what's bothering you. Ever." He rose and caught my wrist before I reached the door.

I turned to face him, and bumped into his chest. He wore his uniform today, which was driving me crazing. I felt my face heat up and my thoughts slow down to a complete hault.

All I could think about was Jimin. And maybe a pair of handcuffs.

I stared at his lips, my lips parting subconsciously.

But before I could catch myself and say anything, my fiance's lips crashed against mine. I tripped and he and I had both fallen on the bed, with me landing on top of him.

Ouff...

Jimin chuckled heartily at my surprised face.

"I'll always have your back Jagiya. No matter what." He rolled me over and kissed me again.

I closed my eyes as I let him take over the kiss, enjoying the feel of his lips against mine. Jimin casually ran a hand up my waist, his other hand in my hair.

Building up some courage, I responded to his nips and kisses in tune, which made him moan a little as he kissed me, the sound reverberating all the way to my core.

After what felt like an eternity of making out, Jimin sat upright, lifting me up. A small smug smile on his lips.

"Say it, Jagiya." He smiled more smugly now.

"Say what?" I breathed out, panting, still in shock at the way he could kiss me.

"Say what's on your mind. I told you, I want us to have clear communication in our marriage." He wraps his arms around me, and sucked on my neck, sending a shiver down my spine.

He chuckled at my reaction, watching me an little.

"I know it's all so soon for you. But let's try to make a start in these three days before our wedding." He whispers to me, pressing his forehead to mine.

"Okay..." I whispered back.

"I'm just amazed by the way you kiss me. And I love how well that uniform fits you." I blurted out, my hand flying to cover my mouth, my fingers covering his lips too.

Jimin lowered my hand and sat back, watching me with a big smile on his face. He took hold of my hands in his, interlocking his fingers with mine.

"See that wasn't too hard now, was it? Anything else you have to say?" He asked me encouragingly.

"Well, I was wondering why I need to come to your workplace. Wouldn't your colleagues feel like you're bringing your personal life into work?" I shrugged awkwardly.

I have been to the station many, many times before. But it was mainly to deliver orders of doughnuts or to ask Nina, Jungkook or Taehyung oppa to help me sneak Jimin's Valentine's Day gift into his desk drawer. Or sometimes Taehyung oppa or Jungkook would help me sneak it into his locker.

But going there today, as his fiancée, made me feel extremely shy. It's not just me going into the station with deliveries. I'm part of an investigation now.

It was overwhelming to say the least.

"We have to go together, Haneul. I need to have some of the other officers speak to you. Nina and Taehyung-ah. They're the ones busy handling your case - and they were also arranging for someone to help repair the damages to your store. Also, as much as I really don't want you to, you will also need to be there to identify the kidnappers. Even though I know them." He sat forwards on the edge of the bed and sighs, running his fingers over his forehead thoughtfully.

"Okay, I'm coming with you, Jimin. I just feel so numb inside after yesterday that I completely forgot about my store. I thought I was going to die in that tower. And then I saw you." I felt a tear leak down my cheek.

And then, I felt my body sigh in relief. It was over and the shock and exhaustion of yesterday's events had finally worn off. I fell into Jimin's arms as he reached out to comfort me.

"Shhh... It's okay, Jagiya. I'm here now. It's okay. It's over. You're safe." Jimin whispered to me gently, over and over.

We sat like that at the edge of the bed, adjacent to each other with my head in his shoulder, for a little while.

"Hey, Jagiya?" He whispered to me.

"Uh-huh?" I mumbled into his shirt.

"I'm going to sit with you throughout the process later at the station. But, I won't be the one asking you any questions, okay? I am also involved in this case, and it is in more ways than one." He whispered.

"Okay. I understand. You know them and we're engaged." I whispered back.

"Yes. But, they don't know that we're engaged yet." He grinned at me.

"I'll have to wait to break it to them. I'm going to have to call a few of my mother's contacts to help me." He grudgingly admitted.

"Why's that Yeobo?" I asked Jimin curiously.

"I need to smooth over a few finer details. If I don't things could get messy at the station. Conflict of interest..." He said to me quietly.

When he had relaised how confused I was, Jimin began to elaborate, but he didn't look up from the beige carpet which he now fixatedly stare at.

It was a whole minute before Jimin spoke again.

"I am the leader of the Busan Mafia. My mother and I arranged the entire plan to look like I didn't want to become Mafia before I left..." Jimin said, finally looking looking up at me, his eyes red with tears.

"I didn't want to become part of it... I helped my mother with the plan because Ji-ah's parents were planning to murder my mother, and take over everything." His tears began to fall.

I wiped them away calmly. I wasn't surprised. He's a brilliant officer. Ofcourse he has his secrets.

"It's okay Yeobo. I understand." I patted his shoulder as he cried quietly.

"My family's business isn't dark like other mafia out there. Yes my mother has her ways; but we never dealt in drugs or smuggling. Mother deals with jewellery, and raw metals. Ji-ah's parents were the type to dabble in trafficking and drugs." Jimin explained, clearing his throat and collecting himself.

"Jimin, I love you. I love everything about you. Not your family's deeds or their business. So, don't ever feel like it is a problem, okay?" I placed a gentle kiss on his cheek and wiped away the stray tear that fell down his cheek.

"I love you too Haneul. And I promise you that nothing and one is going to harm you ever again." Jimin said to me, a new type of passion ignited in his eyes as he held me close to him and locked eyes with me.

And at that precise moment, my stomach decided to give a little grumble, alerting everyone that  it was now open for business for the day. Jimin rose from the bed and tugged at me to follow him.

"Come, fianceé. There is no way you're sitting here another moment. You need to eat." He said firmly, taking me straight into the kitchen.

Jimin's POV

She knows.

I can safely breathe a sigh of relief. Haneul is aware of my dual life. She knows that I am a police officer and a Mafia King. And she is okay with it.

I had been stressed about her accepting me when she found out.

Ofcourse I couldn't just give up the title. My mother's life is at risk. I need to protect her. And the Busan police department were currently doing a piss poor job at that.

I received a call earlier, while Haneul was in the bathroom, from Sergeant Jung in Busan. My mother's vehicle had stopped 2cm short of driving into a meleé.

They were making their move.

Park Hae-Won was the talk of the city and everyone wanted to be her. Naturally, my mother had also made a few enemies.

The meleé was clearly staged as an excuse to assassinate her. Thankfully, Kim Namjoon, my mother's secret body guard, was driving. He spotted the plan 2 minutes before it occurred and thus had saved her.

Looks like plan A failed. They had chosen to attack my mother instead.

"Omma... Are you alright?" I greeted, concerned about my mother.

"My son is concerned for my safety? Has love changed him so much?" Came the amused voice of my mother.

I sputtered, unsure of what to say.  Haneul and I were going to send her an invite later, along with an explanation.

Without thinking, I switched the call to video, too see my mother smiling broadly at me.

"Hello mother. Good to see you're your usual self." I commented.

Just then, Haneul stepped out of the bathroom, towel in her hand. She wrapped an arm around my waist and innocently rested her head on my shoulder.

"Oh ... I'm sorry. I didn't realise you were on a call." She squeaked as she jumped back.

"Don't be dear. You're going to be his wife. You have every right to be close to your husband. Never apologise for that." My mother smiled at Haneul.

"Anyeonghaseyo eommonim." Haneul bowed her head slightly in greeting.

"Anyeong. Jimin I'm so happy for you. Your fianceé is so polite and well mannered. What's your name dear?" Mother observed the exchanged glances between Haneul and I.

"Park Haneul, eommonim. It's a pleasure to finally speak to you." She smiled at my mother politely.

"Such a pretty name, Haneul. Well, I'll be arriving in Seoul on Sunday morning for the wedding. Decide between the two of you where you'd like to visit for your honeymoon." My mother commented.

"Eommonim, you really don't have to." Haneul said, blushing a bright red at this point.

"It's my gift to you Haneul." Mother   smiled, her voice conveying her apology as well.

"Gamsahabnida." We both said together. My mother smiling at us, from ear to ear.

"It's my pleasure. I want grandchildren. See you at the wedding my dear." She winked at Haneul and ended the call.

"I didn't know you were on a call with your mother." She says softly, blushing a deep magenta.

"Hey, you heard my mother. Don't apologise." I tossed my phone onto the bed, taking her hands in mine.

"Besides, we need to focus on more important things." I pulled her close, saying in a low deep whisper.

"Li- like what?" She asked me innocently.

"Like making those grandchildren she asked us for." I growled out into her ear, running my tongue on her earlobe.

Haneul shivered in my arms, as she looked up at me; her soft lips perfectly brushing against mine.

I couldn't get enough of her. I had to explore her curves and drink her in. To kiss her was an intoxicating feeling, insatiable, no matter how many times I kissed her. I want more with every kiss.

She smelled like my soap and roses.

Where did she get the rose scent from?

I decided to take it a step further, licking the nape of her neck, to which she responded with a soft moan. I smiled at her wickedly, and  began to pepper her neck with kisses from behind her ear, all the way down to her shoulder.

Haneul clung onto my shirt, clawing into my back in pleasure. She then held my face her palms, kissing me more intensely, trying testing her potential, claiming me as her own.

It was both special and adorable. She learned really fast.

We probably would have spent all day tangled on my bed, me teasing her as she explored and shared her curiosity with me.

Alas, we had a case to file and she needed to be present at the station, being the key witness and ofcourse, the victim of the kidnapping.

I reluctantly pulled away from her, kissing her forehead and encouraging her to change into something comfortable.

"Get dressed, try to wear pants and t-shirt. Wear one of mine if you'd like." I offered, showing her the cupboard where my clothes stayed.

"Are you sure Jimin? Wouldn't that make it obvious?" She stared at me, wide eyed.

"Taehyung knows that we have feelings for each other. He's my best friend. So there's no need to stress. The others are quite oblivious, so I wouldn't worry too much about them. Wear one of my shirts Haneul." I grinned at her.

It was a good way to lay a subtle claim on her. Have my scent on her. After all, a lot of the guys at the station eyed her too.

They needed to get the message.

Haneul is mine.

☆˖☾.⋆𖤓。◦°˚°◦⁀➴♡

"Miss Park. Do you recognise any of these men?" Kim Taehyung asked Haneul, sitting a chair away from us in the observation room.

Taehyung, as professional as he was, struggled to hide the smugg little look I knew he tried to hide.

He knew we were together. He must have seen the ring and the mark I might have 'accidentally' left on her neck, just below her ear. She didn't know I'd done that.

It's for her safety.

This place is full of lusty pigs who eye women. I've seen them at it before.

This way, they wouldn't bother hitting on her, because they'll know she's mine.

And just as I'd anticipated, a new recruit eyed my woman. The minute he glance at her collar, he turned away immediately, red with embarrassment. I glared at him for good measure.

Haneul seemed much calmer after breakfast.

She looked sexy in my white shirt, and her black jeans. And something about the way she had dressed it up made me want to send my best friend out of the room while I tested just how sound proof this damn room actually is.

I breathed in deep through my nose and exhaled through my mouth a couple of times.

Control yourself Sergeant Park. I chided myself.

Her engagement ring glittered on her left finger as she brushed her fringe back, studying the faces of the five men behind the glass. It suited her well. I'd made a good choice.

"That reminds me... I need to pick out a wedding ring." I mumbled to myself.

Thankfully, both Tae and my fianceé were preoccupied with the case.

"Well officer Kim... I only recognise four of the five men." She said looking away from the glass to answer Taehyung.

Ofcourse she wouldn't have recognised Basil. He was the getaway driver. And he usually didn't stand guard either.

"He's the one that tried to kill me at the bell tower." She pointed at Thomas.

"He tried to attack me." She narrowed her eyes at him.
"And you swiftly saw to it that he didn't." Taehyung mused, impressed by her nerve.

"Well, yes. A guy this thick set, I'd be finished." She shrugged innocently.

"Good work miss Park. Which one of these men do you not recognise?" Taehyung questioned, noting down Haneul's responses and adding to it his own notes.
Haneul gestured at Basil, making a face.

It was a relief that Taehyung's the one handling the case. I wouldn't be able to bare it if anyone else did. I'd lose my mind.

Taehyung and I were the only two officers authorized to handle such cases.

Because this case is far more twisted than it seems from the outside.
