Jimin's POV
Hospital reception desk
"I'm glad you got all of that off your chest, buddy. Maybe the two of you should actually spend some time alone together? I mean you haven't had much time alone with Haneul and seeing as it is still Valentine's day, you should have something special planned." Nina patted my shoulder, giving me a brilliant idea in the process.
'Good idea. It won't take much time to arrange a relaxing evening with Haneul.'
I glanced at the clock hanging above the hospital's reception desk. It was now ten minutes to four o'clock in the afternoon. There was still more than enough time to have a nice intimate dinner and perhaps Haneul would like to cuddle up and watch a movie with me.
'Or I could entertain her in other ways... Perhaps we could play a little monopoly or scrabble...' I mused.
"Thanks Nina. That's a great idea. I've spoken to the doctor and she said that Haneul's alright, apart from a few small bumps and bruises. I can't risk having her life in danger again, so I'll be taking her home with me." I smiled greatful for a supportive friend.
"Sure. Just know that for obvious reasons, you're off the case. The Chief just sent me a text to let you know." She waved her cellphone at me.
"I expected that. But thanks for letting me know Nina." I shrugging. What else was I supposed to do?
At least I wasn't suspended. Not that the Chief would do that - he knows my whole history.
"It's no problem at all, Haneul needs you right now. Phil and I are going to the movies later. If you want, we can help Haneul move in to your flat before we go out?" Nina had offered helpfully, perhaps understanding what Haneul was going through as a woman.
"No, it's alright Nina. Thank you for offering, but I've already asked Jungkook and Tae to assist us with that." I thanked her, bowed and walked back to Haneul's room.
"Fighting! (Good luck)" Nina gave me a thumbs up as I walked away.
"Thanks Nina." I returned the gesture, then turned back towards Haneul's hospital room.
Just as I got there, I spied a man and a woman sitting next to Haneul's bed, talking to her.
The man was thin and tall and had greying hair, a grey mostasche a silvery beard. He wore a typical beige cable knit 'dad jersey' and straight cut pants. Next to him stood the woman who was shorter and wore a bright, colourful print jersey with faded baggy jeans. She had curly greying hair and wore spectacles.
This must be her family I asked for reception to call earlier.
"Jimin!" Haneul's eyes brightened when she spied me standing at the door, curiously watching her with the elderly couple.
I've always wondered what a normal family would be like. It was fascinating to see them together as family. I had no proper family, and of course, no extended family either.
"Imo, Imobu, this is Officer Park. He's the one that saved me." Haneul excitedly gestured for me to join her.
"Anyeonghaseyo." I bowed at her maternal aunt and uncle, as respectfully as I could.
This was my only chance to impress them. Especially since I want to ask for Haneul's hand in marriage.
"Jimin, I was just telling my aunt and uncle all about you." She grinned up at me.
"Uh... Haneul..." I spluttered, feeling a deep blush creep up my face.
"Oh, go on, it's alright Jimin-ah. You're both old enough! Don't mind us." Haneul's Imo says to me.
"Imo, Haneul will need to live with me. It's not safe for her to live on her own anymore." I say, chancing my luck.
"Jimin-ah, you saved our little princess. She's all we have. We'd feel safer if we know that Haneul is with you." Said Haneul's uncle.
"Alright then, I'd like to have the wedding by Sunday, if that's okay Imo and Imobu?" I asked, definitely not backing out from my decision now.
I decided that the best option is for me to marry Haneul. It wouldn't be safe enough having just my girlfriend living with me. But as my wife, no one would dare touch her.
Because, no matter what, I am the Mafia King.
Mother made me take over before I had left... I'm surprised that she'd actually kept her word. It was done in secret.
My mother ran the entire operation on my behalf, owing to the fact that it was indifferent to her world. But I couldn't deny her the pleasure of taking over.
It did have certain benefits that even I could not deny had worked in my favour.
My mother would kill Ji-ah if she could. She's furious with the Lee family. Not just because of what we found out about them, but because their little pest of a daughter dared to interfere in MY personal life.
And she had a lot of strings to pull, lest anyone found her out.
Only she knew who the real Boss was.

Jimin's flashback
My mother had caught wind of the most despicable plan. A plan to have her murdered.
Ji-ah and her father had planned to become close partners with mother, hoping she would hand over most of the business to them.
But we'd never let that happen.
I would never let that happen. She's still my mother at the end of the day.
So, in the nick of time, Mother and I had hatched a plan after an informant had shared the news. I would take over in secret, while she pretended to get closer to Ji-ah and the Lee family.
Everything was kept under wraps - the plans were only visible to us under a UV light. And only mother and I had contact lenses that could see in such conditions.
Everything had gone according to plan. Mother set up the kitty party, inviting Ji-ah over. She had given Ji-ah 'pep talks' and they had a few girls' nights out with the wives and daughters of the other business partners.
Ji-ah had fallen into the trap - all I had to do was act like I was asleep, and make sure that I hadn't locked my door.
The rest she had done herself.
Ji-ah, drunk on greed and power, assuming that we were engaged to be married (yet another clever act, carefully planned by mother).
Again, only mother knew that I was a police officer (the others had believed that I was only going into training when I left).
I handcuffed the pest and took off, making it look like I didn't want to be married (partly the reason why I agreed to leave Busan).
Mother had arranged for me to transfer to Seoul, Gangnam district, which is where I met Haneul.
We played our parts well. Everything I had said to my mother, was all a pretence.
I guess, my mother really does know best.
End of flashback

No one can touch Haneul once I'm married to her.
Not even my mother.

Haneul's POV
15h35
Jimin walked back to my room door, but stopped in his tracks when he'd seen my mother's sister and brother-in-law at my bedside.
I had no parents. They had passed away when I was 16 years old. Since then, my aunt and uncle have taken care of me. They're the only family I have.
Jimin watched us longingly from the threshold. My heart broke seeing the look in his eyes. So I called him in and tried to make him feel as welcome as I could while still maintaining the role of a patient.
I could tell that Imo and Imobu approved of Jimin immediately. They loved him before I could even get the chance to introduce him.
And then... Jimin gave me the best surprise any girl could ask for on Valentine's Day...
Jimin had asked my Imo and Imobu for my hand in marriage! And he wanted us to be wedded by the weekend.
This was all happening too fast!
He looked over at me and grinned apologetically, taking my hand in his.
"I'm sorry this is all too for you Haneul. But I promise you that it's worth it." He squeezed my hand reassuringly.
"Ommo! Jimin is so adorable." My aunt exclaimed happily, blushing like a young girl.
"They don't make many men like him anymore Haneul... You best hold on to him!" Imo tapped Jimin's shoulder affectionately.
Jimin, now the centre of attention, was the exact colour of a beet. Clearly he didn't expect the extra compliments.
"Tell us what you need son. And we'll have it done." Imobu offered.
That's my uncle. Always ready for a challenge.
"Thank you sir. I'd really appreciate all the help I can get. However..." Jimin paused.
"Yes, son?" My uncle prompted him.
"I urge you to keep the wedding quiet. For Haneul's safety. A few members of the force will attend the wedding from my side and you both will be from Haneul's side. I cannot risk her safety." I sighed deeply, his eyes had a look so sad, I felt tears rolling down my cheeks.
"Ahh... Haneul, don't cry darling. Oh... Look at her Yae-Joon. Our niece is all grown up." My aunty wiped away a stray tear from her own cheek.
"Come, Hwa-Sa, let's leave the lovebirds alone. Besides, we have preparations to take care of." My uncle said, glancing at Jimin and then gesturing for my aunt to leave with him.
As they reached the door of the hospital room, both my Imo and Imobu turned to wave goodbye.
"Hang in there Haneul. You'll be fine. We'll see you on Sunday." My aunt said before she turned to leave.
I turned to face my uh- fiance.
"Uh... Jimin...?" I watched as he paced the floor beside me.
"Yes?" He stopped in front of me, and took a seat by my side.
"Are you alright? I'm sorry I'm rushing things. I will explain once we're at my house. I just need you to trust me." He said, then scooped me up from the hospital bed and walked out, carrying me in his arms, bridal style.
"Jimin? I can walk, you know. I'm fine now darling." I whispered in protest.
"I know, my love. But this way is faster, and less complicated." He murmured back.
"If you say so, officer Park." I gave him a saucy grin.
"Oh, you wanna play that game, huh?" He said, raising an eyebrow at me.
Fuck... That single look had me dying for him! I'm crying!
I fell silent, not because he's teasing me, but rather because I knew, somehow, what he would be doing with me, if he only gets the chance to when we're alone.
I know I won't protest either.
And I gulped in air to prevent myself from hyperventilating.
Because Park Jimin is hot!
And he's going to be my husband in the next 96 hours! Yes I counted.
Sigh... Lord give me the strength to wait... He's Mafia HOT!
At this point, I probably passed out because he's carrying me to his van, my body was pressed to his chest. It was like a wall of firm muscle.
Dear Lord! This man is taking me home?! To his house?!
