Prologue
In a small town named Pesterwood:
A shopkeeper's POV
The winds roared and there was a heavy downpour. The windows rattled. I couldn't go back home due to the storm. Instead I closed the doors and windows and sat down to hear some songs. I was tired working the whole day and wanted to rest for a while. I suddenly heard a knock at the door. I ran to see who was it in this storm.
I approached the glass door. A young women , maybe 23 or 24, was knocking vigorously. I saw that her arm had been injured by some kind of bite. ' Open the door' she seemed to mouth.
I quickly opened the door and let her in.
She pushed me back and vigorously closed the door and locked it. She looked for every possible lock and locked it shut. I was outspoken due to her actions.
Holding her injured arm, She pushed a table, which was near, to the door blocking possibly anyone from coming in. After doing this she seemed to have consumed all her strength so she slided down beside the door.
" Get me something to apply to my arm." , she said in a troubled, unclear, low voice.
I got the first aid kit and started to apply an anti - biotic to her arm. She screamed in pain and waved my hand away from her arm.
She held her arm tight and the expressions on her face conveyed she was in a terrible pain.
She took the injection from the first aid kit and stabbed her arm.
After that she seemed to calm down.
I tied the bandage around her hand.
There were many thoughts rising in my mind but I thought that I could ask after the lady rested.
I brought some wine and she drank it hurriedly.
" You may rest here for today. " I said to her.
She nodded understandingly.
These strange happenings had really shocked me and I couldn't sleep.
I had given her the room in the upper store room while I slept in the main shop.
My mind was wandering and struggling to find out what lay beyond these happenings.
When suddenly I heard a sound upstairs from the store room. I heard the door of the room click. I went to check on the lady.
I stopped when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
It was dark except for a dim light near the main door.
A shadow appeared coming down the stairs.
" Are you alright, lady?" I asked her feeling a little scared myself.
" Never been better." she said in a voice which didn't match her own. Rather it sounded coming from a monster.
I ran to the door and tried to move the table that blocked it.
But it was too late. I could hear the footsteps behind me.
That is when I turned around and saw................................................................................................................

The headlines of the morning newspapers of Pesterwood were filled with the following news " Mr.Williams, The general grocer who owned a shop near the woods was found dead at his shop. A lady too was found dead besides him. The lady is yet to be identified though she doesn't appear to be from the town."
Back at the scene.
" It is more than what the morning newspapers say, isn't here?" , the deputy asked the sheriff.
" Yes." he replied." The bodies seemed burnt with absolutely no indication of fire near. Traces of green liquid have been found. The liquid is being collected and taken to the urban laboratories to be examined."he continued.
" Sheriff, reports show that the lady is not of this town." says an officer to the sheriff.
" Who can she be?" the Deputy bluntly questioned the Sheriff.
" I don't know. No form of identification has been found with the lady." the sheriff explained.
" Sheriff! Sheriff!" an officer came running.
" What is it Smith?" the sheriff asked the huffing officer.
" Sir, the sample of the liquid is missing." he replies.
