Three days passed and everything had been fine. Luna and I had been spending a lot of time working together and even just hanging out when we weren't busy. Fletch talked to me about how nice it was to see Luna being friendly with someone outside of their small group. 

"It's nice seeing her talk to somebody and actually smile through their conversation," Fletch said as we walked between stations. 

He and I were covering the check to the other station this morning.

"She was really closed off when we found her and Vega. She didn't really speak if she didn't have to. I'm honestly kinda surprised you got her to talk to you."

I shrug. "I guess I came in when she was in a bit of a vulnerable state..."

He nods. "That might be why."

It was weird being at the station without Jasper or Ahren around. Ahri definitely noticed the change. After all, she would spend most of her time shadowing one of them throughout the day.

Fletch and I got back to our station and Luna was hurrying to us. 

"What's up?" Fletch asked, concerned now by her eagerness.

"We've got three people in the infirmary, all of them sick with the same symptoms."

"Sick? Like a cold?"

She shakes her head. "Dr. Kings thinks it some sort of flu..."

Oh god. The flu? This could be really bad. If it spread to more people, we could all be overrun by this sickness in a matter of days. 

"We have to isolate them, it absolutely cannot spread."

Luna and Fletch both nod in agreement.

"Wait, where's Ahri? Oh my god, she'd been shadowing Dr. Kings."

"Don't worry, I was with Dr. Kings when the first one came in. He sent her out right away."

I was relieved to know that she was okay, but I still had the rest of the station to worry about. 

"I need to talk to Dr. Kings about this." I say as I begin hurrying towards the infirmary. 

Luna and Fletch are right behind me.

"Are you just gonna walk right in there?" Luna asks.

"If it is flu, then it's extremely contagious. None of us can risk getting sick." Fletch tells me.

I sigh. "I still need to find out what's going on. I'll just shout for Dr. Kings to come to me."

"Be careful, keep your distance."

I nod as I continue towards the infirmary leaving the pair behind me.

I was anxious. The flu could be really bad for us. We might not even be able to treat it. What if it spreads? What if Dr. Kings gets sick? I was scared, I was worried, I didn't want to be alone. 

In the back of my mind, a dark thought was threatening its reality. What if everybody dies? What if they all leave me and I'm alone? Jasper was gone, I didn't know when I'd see him again. What if he came back here, and there was nothing left? What if their group arrived to see nothing but empty cots and abandoned supplies?

"Dr. Kings!" I shouted once I was close enough where he should hear me.

I pushed the dark thoughts to the back of my mind as I waited for him.

"Sasha?" He came out of the infirmary. I took note of the blood on his gloves.

I gave him a look of question and horror.

"It's not good."
