The hero disappears overnight, and the only one who looks is the villain. Not their “friends”, not their family, not the news reportr or any of the people who claim to love them. Just the villain.

Something feels wrong. I did everything like I normally would. Rob the bank, shoot around a bit, and then flee to my lair. And yet, it’s not right. Where is she? She would normally already be here. “What is the status on Scarlet?” I asked one of my followers. We’re sorry miss. Still nowhere on the radar. Do you want us to continue to search?” “Yes. Tell me as soon as you have somethin.” I yelled. Getting frustrated. This is off. Why hasn't she shown her face yet? I continued to wait all night, but she didn't show up at any time. The next night, same thing. Different crime but same outcome. and no one seems bothered by it anyhow. “I’m going out for some time, call me if you got anything.” I ordered my goon. “Will do boss.” And with that, I was out the window. Where could I get a clue? Where might she have gone. Since I didn’t have any idea, I decided to call Carlos, my IT specialist, and also my best friend. “Carlos. Do you by any chance know where Scarlet has her headquarter?” “Do I have any Idea Rai? Who do you think you're talking to? I'm sending you the coordinates over.” He told me. And with that, I hung up on him. Not loong after, I got a message from him. So I started to head the way my phone was leading me to. At the end of the path, I arrived at a seemingly abandoned warehouse. But I trusted Carlos, so I went inside. And apparently, Carlos really knew where I had to go. This is the most modern house I have ever seen. I quickly picked the lock to the door inside, and was met by a refreshing warmth. I should build heating facilities into my leir too. That's a really smart, and also comfortable idea. “HELLO?” I yelled into the building, hoping I wouldn't die. That's when I heard footsteps approaching me. “Who *hust* Who are you?” And that’s when the most beautiful person I know walked around the corner, although normally she looks way less exhausted. “It's Rai.” “What are you doing here?” She said, getting into a poorly done, fighting pose. “Don’t worry, I don’t want to kill you. I was just wondering where you were, you didn’t come the last few days.” “As you see, I’m still here, ready to beat your ass. So you can leave now.” “Did anyone else come by?” “No one knows where this headquarters is.” “It looks like you also live here.” I said, taking a quick glance around. “Yeah and?” “Do you want some company? I can make you the best chicken soup you have ever tasted.” “But.. we are enemies?” she asked, confused. “Yeah well, I really look forward to our meetings every time.” I told her, which seemed to slightly cheer her up. “I do too, even though you don’t stop killing innocent people.” She said, “I started to try to just hurt them when they're annoying, I really aren’t trying to shoot anything vital any more.” “Well then, yeah you can stay. As you can see, the kitchen is there, I’ll go, gotta continue my series.” Scarlet told me, before walking off.

And that was the start of a great friendship. Although, without knowing, both Rai and Scarlet, would love for it to be something more than just friendship.
