[This poem has a really special place in my heart as this is the very first poem that I ever wrote in my life.]

They said, "Your heart will skip a beat when you see him!"
They said, "You'll get butterflies in your stomach!"
They said, "He'll be the center of your universe!"
They said, "He will be your only thought!"

"Hmm..." I thought.
"Is that even possible?" I thought.
"Maybe! Who knows!" I thought.
"Whatever!" I thought.

But now I know how wrong it was!
What they said, and what I thought.

Love, isn't a decorated bouquet of flowers!
It's just a tiny flower in your garden,
Small, but enough to remind you of it's beauty.

Love, doesn't demand your attention like a strong gust of wind!
Rather, it flows around you. Gently caressing your face and ruffling your hair.
Just enough to remind you that, it is there. With you. For you.

And, it is the subtleness that makes it significant!

This is what I feel from the bottom of my heart,
Not considering, what they said or what I thought.
