Raptor of War 3

After the second book, a city has been taken over by the revolution as GECOs (who now identify themselves as animals) fight for their rights. This is because their leader (a character who appears in the original novel and will have a much bigger role in the final draft) decides that peaceful protest is not enough, and regretfully acknowledges that violence is necessary. There are rumours that the robots are also considering a rebellion, though through what means are unknown.

A rift grows between two major characters in the first novel (Nova and Titus) as one becomes an extreme pacifist- refusing to kill even if it means many more will die if she doesn't act, while the other becomes more and more violent. Nova will eventually leave due to disagreeing with the decision to use violence, and inspires others to leave and continue- EDIT: Nova will remain a killer, working alongside the humans.

A new character appears (EDIT: he is introduced in book 2), and leads an extremist section of the revolution which whole-heartedly believes that humans cannot possibly be empathetic to their plight, and thus, their goal is genocide of the human race. His experiences are what lead to his unchangeable belief, after a deep trauma he had experienced.

Debates rage within the revolution on if it is ethical to take those who had been farmed and force them to take drugs which increase their cognitive abilities (this happens to the leader of the violent side) (will be explored in book 2)

Celeste, a character who appeared in book 2, is a weapon of mass destruction who is incapable of understanding the concept of morality. However, she begins to care for a tiny baby neognathus. (very much subject to change)

The neognathus is killed by a group of angry teenagers who had been displaced from their homes by the revolution. Celeste realises that she has no reason to live, and decides that if she is going to die, she will take as many lives with her as possible.

As Celeste has a breakdown and dies, she takes half the world with her. (almost certainly will change)

(I know this is extremely messy, but I am writing this more for myself than anything. These are incredibly underdeveloped concepts, but I am putting them out there in case JW3 decides to do the whole 'genetically engineered animals represent the way we use animals in real life', except they won't do it in a way which criticises socially accepted practices such as farming, so they will essentially play it safe instead of taking a real risk and trying to force people to really consider the morality of their actions) (Yes I know I went on quite a rant there but I hate it when genuinely dividing topics such as animal exploitation are taken and dumbed down to appeal to the masses. Raptor of War is a critique and breakdown of the entire concept of farming, shown through the POV of the animal being exploited, and its ultimate goal is to make people think about the moral implications of taking a sentient being in order to harvest meat from their body. For this reason I feel like if RoW was ever published it would be controversial, but I may also be getting ahead of myself by assuming it would even be successful enough to make controversy. Jesus Christ I went off on a massive tangent, didn't I?)
