Chapter 39: Descent
Pay attention to chapter names from now on. Usually they're filled with utter bullshit that I think of on the spot but I thought carefully for this one and the next few ones so pay attention.
Also, hate me for this chapter but your hatred is nothing compared to mine.
Sakura's thrashed against the two Iwa shinobi, screaming and clawing but nothing worked, their grip was simply too strong. One of them managed to get on top of her and pinned her down.
Her eyes widened as she heard a zipper open.
'Dad, please help me!'
"What?" The word came out with such ice laced within it that it caused Tsunade to feel shivers crawl up her spine as she watched Naruto standing up, his hands against her desk as he leaned, his fingernails putting scratches into the wood.
"Sakura is gone." She replied in a broken-up tone as if already mourning her apprentice. "Sasuke sent a scroll via hawk messenger saying that Sakura had disappeared fighting one of the Akatsuki members, Sasori."
"Did he say where she was last seen?" Tsunade nodded.
"He said that an old woman had told him that she was last seen heading north towards the Hidden Stone."
"You want me to save her." Tsunade nodded, her eyes burning as she fought back the tears that gathered at the bottom of her eyes.
"You want to save her as well." Naruto closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"Do I have permission to go save my daughter, Hokage-sama?"
"Do you need to ask?" Tsunade choked out. Naruto flashed her a grin.
"It'll be alright, Tsunade. I'll go get Sakura back!" With that, he vanished. Tsunade turned her chair around and gazed outside the window, a lone tear crawling down her cheek.
"You better." She whispered to herself.
Naruto rushed through Fire Country and straight into Wind Country, cutting through the land as he ran faster than the normal human eye could see, rivaling what Guy could probably do with at least five gates open.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sasuke waiting for him by a tree. He appeared in front of Sasuke, a serious expression on both of their eyes. "I figured she would send you. I've been following her trail for about five hours now and it's slowly getting stronger."
"How did they get her?" Sasuke's eyes narrowed.
"We don't know." He admitted bitterly. "Sai is a bit behind us at the moment, but he's flying on one of his ink birds to catch up." Naruto nodded and created a clone.
"Wait here for Sai," He ordered the clone, swiping under his forearm with two fingers, a burst of chakra spread through Naruto as he closed his eyes, a black tint forming under his eyes as he suddenly burst into his Kurama Cloak. "Sasuke, try and follow as quickly as you can. I'm going to find Sakura as soon as possible."
Sasuke nodded before Naruto took off once again. He looked at the clone for a moment. "I hope you aren't a prophet." He commented before running in the direction of Sakura's trail. Naruto's clone frowned as he thought about the dreams he's been having lately concerning Sakura and the two large boulders.
He hoped he wasn't a prophet as well.
Naruto made sure to note his surroundings as he crossed into Earth Country and swore to himself as he thought of the possibility that Iwa had kidnapped his daughter due to her last name, though the war had ended almost twenty years ago, those who were inflicted with such hatred were sometimes swallowed by it.
His mind, much like his feet, was running at a tremendous rate of speed, thinking of how he could negotiate with the Tsuchikage in order to retrieve his daughter back safely. He dashed through an empty field before he saw a flash of pink lying still in the grass.
He stopped running and deactivated his Kurama cloak as he felt his limbs go weak, the air leaving his lungs as he saw his daughter just a few yards away from him laying face down in the dirt, her skirt and training shorts she wore under them ripped to shreds next to her.
"No," He whispered.
He shoved the Raikiri forward, intending on disabling Itachi's Susanoo, but his best friend canceled the jutsu quickly, causing the Raikiri to pierce straight through his heart.
"Please no,"
Naruto watched as Kaneki and his team were slaughtered by Iwa's supposed "Genin" team.
"I'm begging whatever god exists," Naruto pleaded aloud as he saw white ooze leaking from Sakura's privates. "No," He stood over his daughter and fell to his knees.
Naruto looked at the bodies of the Uchiha, his second family, and couldn't control himself as he let out a scream of pure agony as everyone gave him looks filled with pity.
"I promised I would protect everyone I loved," He choked out as he grabbed Sakura's body and held her close to his chest, not caring for the blood or semen that might get on his clothes, tears coming out of his eyes steadily as if someone had broken a dam and let the water tumble out uncontrollably.
"Naruto," Minato said as he gazed into his son's eyes. "Just smile!"
"I'm sorry, dad," Naruto whispered as he held her head close to his chest, shaking uncontrollably as he began sobbing freely. "But I can't do that anymore!"
Sasuke appeared in the clearing and saw Naruto cradling Sakura, crying as he whispered to himself. He felt his knees grow weak as he collapsed, his Sharingan morphing into its Mangeykou state.
"They. . . raped her?" He asked gently, fighting tears that threatened to leak from his eyes. "Who? Who could've done this?"
"They defiled my baby girl," Naruto whispered. "They defiled my daughter, they raped and murdered her!"
Sai finally saw the Naruto clone and quickly jumped off the bird and landed in front of his father, who's eyes suddenly widened before dispelling in a poof of smoke. Sai rose an eyebrow but ignored it and hopped right back onto his bird and flew in the direction that the clone had been pointing in.
"Sensei," Sasuke spoke, placing his hand on Naruto's shoulder. "Let's go home."
"No," Naruto whispered, his voice laced with poison as his face twisted into one of complete and utter hatred and determination, the same face Sasuke once saw every time he looked in the mirror. "Stone shinobi did this."
"Sensei," Sasuke's voice was choking up now, the sight of his now-dead teammate hitting him like a ton of bricks. "Let's just go, we don't want to start trouble with Stone."
"As of today, I've broken two promises. One to my father and one to myself. I swore I would keep smiling and now I have no reason to smile. I swore I would protect those I love and I failed. I failed my daughter and I lied to everyone else. I'm no god," He whispered angrily before he gently laid Sakura back down onto the ground. He created a clone.
"Clean her up and take her home. I will not let her body rot in the dirt of a place that holds so much wrong." The clone nodded. Naruto then began walking north.
"Sensei," Sasuke cried out, tears flowing from his eyes. "What are you doing?"
"I'm going to go to Iwa," Naruto answered. "And get some answers."
"Please don't!" Sasuke shouted, clutching his chest. "I can't deal with this by myself." Naruto stopped walking for a moment.
"Sasuke, I made sure to discourage you out of revenge against the masked man, right?" Sasuke tried his best to wipe the tears coming out of his eyes as he nodded. "I will tolerate such an action as of right now." Sasuke looked at his sensei as if he had just been slapped.
Was his sensei encouraging him to come along with him to Iwa? Was Naruto really telling him that revenge was okay in this situation? His sensei wouldn't do that. His sensei was too kind-hearted to do such a thing.
But. . .
His eyes traveled over to Naruto's clone, who had a small rag in hand as they tried their best to clean Sakura up.
Was this revenge justified? Yes.
Was his anger justified? Yes.
Did Sakura deserve to be raped and left to die alone? No, absolutely not.
"I. . ." Sasuke trailed off as another knot formed in his throat, preventing him from speaking as he tried to control his emotions. "What are you planning on doing?" Naruto was silent.
"Are you going to destroy Iwa?" Naruto remained silent as he spun around and walked up to Sasuke.
"I apologize, Sasuke," Naruto said as his poked Sasuke right in the forehead with his two fingers as Itachi had once done. "But I'm afraid I can't allow you to come with me."
"But you just-"
"I refuse to let you travel down a road that will destroy you from the inside out." Naruto interrupted.
"Then how is it okay for you to kamikaze yourself? How is it fair for you to preach to others but not practice it yourself?" Naruto laughed, but it was not filled with humor.
But of a broken man.
"You may call me a hypocrite, I will not deny it. I often give better advice to others than the advice I take from myself and others. I hope one day you can forgive me, Sasuke, I really am a selfish monster, aren't I?"
"Monster? What do you mean?"
"You'll see," Was all Naruto said before he vanished in a Body Flicker. Sasuke was about to rush after him but he felt a hand tug on his shoulder. He looked back and saw Naruto's clone staring at him.
"Don't." Was all he said before returning back to cleaning Sakura. Sasuke felt tears of frustration crawl down his cheeks as he screamed into the air, cursing the heavens.
Naruto walked over the bodies of the now-dead gate watchers of Iwa, walking straight into the village with his sword drawn, his Mangeykou Sharingan glowing in a calm anger, the type of anger that could make the most harmless man dangerous.
A righteous anger that burned and branded itself into Naruto's very being as hatred flooded his mind, all the while Indra was laughing inside his head while Kurama was fighting his own tears, having experienced the same emotion Naruto was feeling at that moment.
How could a human endure so much?
"He's not enduring," Indra answered as if reading Kurama's thoughts. "He's cracked, close to shattering like glass."
"Silence." Kurama roared. "Just. . . be quiet." Indra stared at the Nine-Tailed Fox for a moment and shrugged, a smirk still spread across his face.
"I see, the girl's death influences you as well." He turned to his sleeping brother and noted the tears running down his cheeks as the clothing above his heart began staining red.
'It seems Ashura's heart as finally burst after so much agony. We're so close, Naruto, please just push forward and allow me to breathe!' Indra thought before looking out of Naruto's eyes once more.
"Hey!" The secretary shouted as she tried to stop Naruto from entering the Tsuchikage's office, only to stop as her neck suddenly twisted in the opposite direction, blood pouring down Naruto's right cheek before he blew the doors right off the hinges, surprising the Tsuchikage who had a black-haired teenager with him in the room.
"Who are-" The Tsuchikage began but suddenly found he couldn't speak as he began levitating in the air, his hands wrapped around his throat as if to try and bring oxygen in as he began choking, the Namikaze glaring murderously at him.
"Two of your shinobi entered Wind Country and kidnapped my daughter. Then they raped and killed her. Tell me who they are and I will spare this village to see it's next Tsuchikage," Naruto said in a serious tone, his fist close to closing completely.
"I-I don't know what y-you're talking about!" Onoki strained to say as he was suddenly released.
"Gramps!" Kurotsuchi, his granddaughter, cried as she ran to her grandfather's aid, glaring daggers at Naruto who simply returned it with an empty, apathetic gaze.
"Two of your shinobi raped and murdered my daughter after crossing into Wind Country and kidnapping her. Tell me who they are and then I'll execute them and then I'll be on my way."
"You think you're leaving here alive after choking me?" Onoki asked rhetorically. "I should turn you into dust right now!"
"I'm no longer the child playing ninja in the Chunin Exams," Naruto spoke as he took a step forward, the tip of his sword grazing against the wood. "Or have you forgotten about what I did to those two shinobi almost twelve years ago?" Onoki's eyes widened in realization.
"I knew I recognized you! You're Namikaze's brat!"
"Are you going to tell me the names of your shinobi or shall I seek them out on my lonesome?" Onoki narrowed his eyes.
"You may be a powerful shinobi, but you are a hundred years too early to challenge me, let alone an entire village!"
"Would you like to test that theory out?" Naruto asked, strangely calm as he took another step forward, causing Kurotsuchi to take a step back in turn.
"Gramps, it's w-who did you send?" Kurotsuchi whispered, fear taking ahold of her heart as she looked at the man's weird eyes.
"I didn't send anybody," He turned to Naruto. "They must have been acting on their own, I can't help you!"
". . ." Naruto was silent for a moment. "You aren't lying, but I'm not leaving until their heads are rolling in the streets along with their families."
"You can't come into my village, choke me with whatever jutsu you used, demand the heads of MY shinobi, and their families without expecting some repercussions!"
"You're shinobi huh?" Naruto whispered. "Tell me, that's your granddaughter, right? What if I were to take her into the middle of nowhere, a place she doesn't recognize, and rape her in both holes before murdering her. Would you be angry?" Onoki narrowed his eyes at the man in front of him, the son of his sworn enemy.
"Extremely," He answered.
"Then you understand a fraction of what is going through my brain and my heart at the moment. Are you going to assist me in killing actual rapists or will I demonstrate how far I am willing to go in order to retrieve justice?"
"Are you threatening me?" Onoki hissed.
"Yes," Naruto answered without missing a beat. "I won't ask this again: Will you cooperate with me or will your village turn to ash?" Onoki's eyes widened in the absolute confidence the blonde spoke with.
Was he speaking the truth? Could he actually flatten his village if he wanted to?
"Before you answer, I'm the jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox. Think carefully on your next move." Onoki cursed as he glanced at his trembling granddaughter.
Roshi and Han were recently kidnapped by the very organization he had hired to do some of their dirty work, and having the Nine-Tails in their clutches would solidify Iwa's position as the strongest village out of the shinobi nations.
"I will comply if you give us the Nine-Tails after this!" Onoki answered. Naruto shook his head as he suddenly burst into a golden yellow.
"There are no counteroffers, so I guess your answer is no, therefore," Naruto's bloodshot eyes widened as his Mangeykou spun violently as he met Kurotsuchi's eyes. Kurotsuchi felt a blanket wrap around her mind before taking out a kunai and stabbing her grandfather in the back with it, piercing his heart as the blood began seeping out of his mouth.
"You were never going to win against me, Onoki. You truly are foolish," Naruto whispered before turning around. Onoki couldn't help but look at his granddaughter with betrayed-filled eyes as he felt the strength leaving his body, his eyes fixated on the glazed-over eyes of his granddaughter.
"Naruto-sama, your wish is my command!" She yelled suddenly as she took the bloodied knife and held it out in front of her.
"N-No," Onoki whispered as his vision went dark.
The last thing the Tsuchikage saw before he died was Kurotsuchi plunging the kunai into her own heart.
Naruto relished in the screams of the civilians and shinobi alike as the village burned to the ground, several dead bodies surrounding him.
What they didn't know was that if anyone were to travel a certain distance from the village, they would explode due to the seals he had placed beforehand. He knew that foolish Tsuchikage would not cooperate. He was smarter than that old goat.
He formed a Rasengan in his hand before it was tainted with a dark purple. "Thank you, Kurama. I'm sorry you have to see me like this," He whispered before throwing the Tailed Beast Bomb Rasenshuriken further into the village, enveloping dozens of buildings and killing hundreds in an instant.
"But I won't stop until every person inside this village is dead. I won't leave any survivors, they don't deserve my mercy!"
Indra watched in glee as his descendant slaughtered men and women alike, not caring as blood splattered across his clothes or face, only caring about killing them all. Indra knew he would kill them all, he knew he would.
It was hilarious.
Sure there were no kids, none under the age of fifteen at least, but the fact he slaughtered so many was amazing.
He was truly remarkable.
And done. How was it? Good? Bad? Tell me!
I feel rushed but whatever it's fucking almost five a.m.. Also, comment on your favorite parts!
Rip Sakura, but I planned this for a month or two now. I knew this would happen and just had to build to it. Ye
Til next time my lil demons!
