It had been exactly two months since Team 7 had been formed, and each week they had sparred with Naruto with the other three teams, and each time they lost horribly, even if he handicapped himself like when he had tied both hands behind his back or hopped on one foot. 

It was humiliating for them, but each time they learned to adapt and try to overcome him, their teamwork was improving. The fact of the matter was that Naruto was just too strong to go against them. 

Even Asuma had commented on how the man would be able to take on a hundred Chunin the same way had he actually tried, earning a laugh from Naruto who just waved off the compliment. 

Naruto didn't actually know how strong he was. He already knew he surpassed the Hokage after a few months of training after his Mangeykou had awakened, and he kept training and taking missions. 

He chuckled when he heard his nickname, 'The Kindhearted Shinobi'. He hadn't killed a single person within these last four years, something he was proud of. He could list the number of people he had killed, seventeen. Three from the Chunin Exams and then the fourteen Anbu when Itachi had died. Naruto simply knocked out his opponents or just disabled them quickly instead of resorting to killing. 

Killing was for those who were evil. He did not want to be evil. He would not be a disappointment to his village nor his mother or father. He knew they called him 'soft' behind his back, but he never truly cared what people said behind his back. He took pleasure in knowing they would be too scared to say it to his face. 

"Soft," He muttered as he shook his head as he climbed up the stairs to the Hokage Tower, ready to request a mission for his Genin. It would be their first real mission, a C-Rank. He greeted the secretary kindly, who smiled at him.

"Jeez Naruto, you're such a flirt." She pinched his right cheek as he laughed a little, grinning. Her name was Naomi Izuwa, a senior citizen who worked the day shift of being the Hokage's secretary, being able to keep track of all of his appointments as well as his schedule. She even gave him an earful when he slacked off to read one of his pupil's books or smoke too much. 

"Is the old man busy right now? I'd like to request a special mission for my squad." The woman checked Hiruzen's schedule. "Ah, he's in a meeting with Danzo-sama at the moment, they will be done shortly if you don't mind waiting." Naruto smiled.

"Not at all!" It wasn't his time, but his Genin's, they were still probably waiting for him. He chuckled at the thought. It reminded him of Kakashi. 

A few minutes passed, and then half an hour, and then an hour and Naruto stood up. "I'm going to go see if they both died of a heart attack," Naruto told Naomi. Naomi laughed. 

"I hope not, it seems like a lot of paperwork." She joked. Naruto grinned before walking into the office. 

"Yo old men, are yall dead?" He asked and stopped speaking when he saw the two pairs of eyes on him, one of them narrowed and the other one seemed grateful. 

"Naruto," Hiruzen greeted. "Always a pleasure to see you." 

"Ah, the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki, hmph." Danzo got out. Naruto cocked his head to the side but didn't say anything. "We're in a meeting, you may leave." 

"I think not," Naruto replied easily as he approached the desk and standing by a chair that was next to the chair that Danzo was sitting in. "I was actually hoping to get a C-Rank mission for my team!" 

"I said we're busy, leave!" Danzo ordered. Naruto rose an eyebrow. 

"Every time you open your mouth I see a little bit of dust leave, it's kinda gross." He quickly said before turning to the Hokage. Hiruzen sighed as he pulled out a scroll. 

"A simple escort and guard mission to Wave Country, your client's name is Tazuna. I was planning on giving this to Team 8, but it seems you are in more of a desperate need for it." He tossed it to Naruto, who quickly read it and nodded. 

"Cool, thanks, old man!" He began walking out of the office only to stop as he heard Danzo mutter something.

"Damn that disappointment." He whirled around and caught Danzo's eye.

"Excuse me?" He walked up to the elder. "Can you repeat that? I'm not sure I heard you right." Danzo stood up, meeting Naruto's gaze with a glare. 

"I said you were a failure and a disappointment! A Jinchuuriki who thinks he can parade around the village just because your father was the Hokage!" 

"Danzo!" Hiruzen barked before the temperature in the room decreased dramatically as Naruto's smile suddenly disappeared, replaced with a frown. 

"I got this old man," Naruto began as he stepped up to Danzo, close enough to feel Danzo's breath hit his nostrils. 

"You think you can step to me, boy?" 

"Do you think you stand a chance against me you old goat?" Naruto's Sharingan flashed to life and they began spinning violently. 

If Danzo fought Naruto right now, he would not survive. He wouldn't have a chance in hell. He knew that. Hiruzen knew that. And Naruto knew that. 

Danzo suddenly looked at the ground. 

"I apologize for my words, they were spoken out of anger." Naruto's demeanor changed instantaneously. 

"I apologize as well for my rude behavior, I should have waited patiently outside instead of barging in." He bowed to the elder. "I thank you both for your patience, I will see you again." And with that, he vanished. 

Danzo immediately scowled. "Damn that boy, he needs something to keep him in check!" He growled as he looked at Hiruzen. "What is to stop him from overthrowing the village single-handedly? We don't even know the true extent of his power!" Hiruzen closed his eyes, smoking it pipe for a second before exhaling the smoke through his nose. 

"Hmm, I have an idea." 

Naruto appeared in front of his team, getting an annoyed look from Sasuke, an angry look from Sakura, and a blank look from Sai. 

"Sorry about that guys, I had to get ourselves a real mission!" He held out the C-Rank, the yellow embroiderment indicating its rank as Sasuke's eyes widened a tad bit, surprised that it wasn't the usual dull brown of a D-Rank scroll. 

"A C-Rank?" Sakura asked curiously. She was pretty happy, C-Ranks usually meant easy missions with a lot more pay and they also usually meant going outside of the village. 

"Yep, we get to escort an old man back home and act as guards from bandits and such, which is way below your pay, by the way, so be happy it's easy!" He said cheekily. "Go home and pack for about two weeks. Bring weapons or whatever and meet me at the front gate within an hour, we leave immediately." They nodded and ran off to go pack.

Naruto then looked at the scroll. It said to meet the man dubbed Tazuna at one of the bars. Weird. Naruto shrugged and pocketed the scroll before flashing to the bar, arriving there within a second. 

"Hmm," It was one of the bars he didn't exactly enjoy going into, most of the customers just harassed him constantly or tried to start something with him. And after his little tussle with Danzo. . . 

He walked into the bar and immediately spotted who he thought to be Tazuna in the small crowd, not looking like he belonged in the pub at all, acting awkward and such. He had a big, pointy hat on his head with grey hair and tan skin. He had black beady eyes with a towel wrapped around his neck and a black vest on with a pair of baggy light brown shorts with a pair of sandals on. He was currently flirting with the hostess, who was just laughing politely. 

"Tazuna-san!" Naruto greeted as he sat next to the old man, surprising the drinker, who had a bottle of sake in his hand. "My team and I will be escorting you back home. Rest assured, you will be protected quite nicely." Tazuna looked up at Naruto through his glasses, squinting a bit.

"Aren't you a little too young to be doing all this?" Naruto shrugged. 

"I've been in this game for a little bit more than ten years, Tazuna-san. I'm pretty strong if I say so myself and my Genin team will be quite sufficient." Tazuna shrugged, not questioning his protection. "We meet at the gate in about an hour, I hope you won't be late." 

The four ninja and the one civilian were walking peacefully down the path, enjoying the comfortable silence that surrounded them. Naruto had his eyes closed and was humming a small song he remembered from his childhood, not being able to remember the source of the song but he found it pleasant to hum.

Meanwhile with Sasuke, he was eyeing Naruto's back suspiciously. How did this man know the tune his mother used to hum him when he was sad? How could he have possibly known the song his mother created for him and Itachi?

It didn't add up. Naruto Namikaze didn't add up. He was a mystery to the young Uchiha. He knew that the name Naruto sounded familiar, but he wasn't sure where or how. It was on the tip of his mind and it bothered him that he didn't know. 

He would have to find out. 

A small puddle could be seen in just a few meters away from Naruto, who smirked as he gazed into the water. "Guys, guess what I found?" Sakura looked at the puddle of water and rose an eyebrow.

"A puddle?" Naruto laughed.

"Nope! Say, isn't it getting kind misty in here?" The puddle exploded as two ninja clad in black and grey camo with one wearing a tattered cloak with a gas mask with one horn coming off of his headband while the other one was wearing a small thin vest over a long-sleeved grey shirt with a gas mask on as well with two horns coming out of his headband. 

They both had a large metal claw with chains wrapped around them before they sprung off and wrapped around Naruto who didn't even budge. They pulled, the spikes on the chain digging into his skin before cutting him in half, his body falling to the ground as Sakura shrieked in horror. 

Sai took immediate action and rushed forward, his sword out as he instantly cut into the one with two horns on his headband's neck, blood spurting out onto the ground as he fell to the ground dead. 

"Meizu!" The other one said before glaring at Sai. "You'll pay for that!" Sai just got into a defensive position.

"Sasuke, blow a fireball at the rogue ninja." Sasuke nodded before going through his hand seals in a split second and spitting out a large fireball that the man named Gozu barely dodged, only to realize that it was a distraction.

Waiting for him, was Sai, who was ready to pierce his blade through the back of the rogue ninja from Mist but was suddenly stopped as Naruto flashed in front of him, catching his blade with two fingers before using his other hand to grasp the nape of his neck of Gozu, who could barely squirm.

"That's enough, Sai," Naruto whispered as he looked into the emotionless eyes of his subordinate. Sai nodded and sheathed his blade. 

"Sensei!" Sakura cried out in relief. The tension in Tazuna's shoulders seemed to loosen considerably at the sight of the Jounin. 

"Sasuke, bring me some rope so I can interrogate the remaining rogue ninja." He dropped Gozu on the ground and the man immediately spun around and lunged at Naruto, his poisoned claw fingers ready to pierce Naruto's skin before his claw-hand suddenly fell apart, Naruto's smile never decreasing. 

"My father gave me that before he died," Gozu muttered as he looked at the broken tool before his beady black eyes filled with rage. "YOU BASTARD!" He landed a single punch on Naruto's face but was surprised at the sound of one of his fingers breaking as Naruto only grinned cheekily at him, having barely felt what could be considered a light tap. "Impossible. . ." He muttered. 

Naruto leaned forward in Gozu's ear. "My turn," He used his index finger and flung it at the man, making him fly back into a tree, crashing into it as several leaves fell from the branches. Sasuke handed Naruto the rope.

Now tied to the tree, Gozu glared freely at his enemies, unnerving Sakura and Tazuna while unfazing Naruo, Sasuke, and Sai. "Who are you working for?" Naruto asked.

"Fuck off." 

"What are your loyalties?" 

"Your mothers a whore!"

"My mother is dead," Naruto said blankly. "Who do you work for?" He asked again. 

"Not telling tic-tac dick!" 

"If I have a tic-tac dick then that's why your mother's breath always smells fruity." He grinned at Gozu. "I prefer orange, she likes all kinds, doesn't she?" 

"Fuck you."

"Fuck me yourself, coward," Naruto said before his foot was just inches from hitting Gozu's face. "My team and I had to help clean Inuzuka kennels, I might've stepped in some shit, wanna lick it off for me?" Gozu's eyes widened, but he kept his mouth closed. Naruto frowned and set his foot back down. "Oh well, then answer me this. Who was your target?" 

Gozu's eyes betrayed him as they glanced at Tazuna. Naruto nodded. "Thank you, Gozu of Nowhere, and if it's any consolation, I'm sorry about your brother." He grabbed a fistful of Gozu's hair before slamming the man's head into the tree trunk, knocking him out. 

"Welp, congrats, this will be your first B-Rank mission, maybe A-Rank, but I don't think we'll get that lucky." He said with a small sigh.

"You want a more dangerous mission?" Sakura exclaimed as if he were crazy. 

"Sakura-chan, I get quite bored with constant D-Ranks, I need action ya know?" 

"Is that why you're still a virgin?" Sai suddenly said, causing Naruto freeze in his position. "I heard the sensei teasing you about it. How come sensei? You could have any girl if you really tried, Kurenai-sensei seemed-" Sasuke suddenly put a hand over Sai's mouth. 

"Shut up before he kills you!" He whispered. Naruto was completely red in the face while Tazuna howled in laughter at the man's misfortune. 

"L-let's go, gang!" Naruto stammered. "Got a mystery to solve. . ." He whispered to himself, but Sakura heard him. 

"This isn't Scooby-Doo, sensei." She said, trying to kill a giggle that threatened to escape.

"I'm going to double your training regiment and make you train with Guy." Naruto said simply, causing all of the Genin to freeze and pale considerably, including Sai. 

"You're evil. . ." Sasuke whispered. Naruto chuckled, putting his hands in his pocket. 

"So I've been told." 

"You're evil boy, TRULY EVIL if you make them go through that hell." The Kyuubi said from inside Naruto's mind. Naruto laughed. 

'Oh come on, Kurama, we both know they deserve it most the time.' Naruto said in his head as the fox in his body nodded sagely. 

"Especially the one making fun of your virginity, it's not your fault you can't get la-" Naruto immediately cut off the connection the beast, hearing a small distant laugh in the back of his head. 

"Evil fox," He grumbled to himself. 

Naruto and co. were walking down a small path, having just got off of a little boat that helped them cross the part that separated the Land of Wave from the rest of the world. Naruto was whistling the same tune that Sasuke's mother had sang to him, unknowingly driving Sasuke crazy while soothing Sakura and Tazuna as Sai just watched on with a neutral expression on his face. 

"Welp guys, it's definitely an A-Rank now," Naruto said as he stopped walking. As soon as he finished a giant sword came hurling at them. Naruto immediately reacted to the incoming blade as a chakra chain hit the blade into a nearby tree, a man appeared on top of it. 

He had ashen skin with black spiky hair on top of his head with brown eyes that gazed at Naruto in particular. He had two leather braces that were made of cowhide and had no shirt on, revealing his developed abs and pecs with a pair of striped pants that covered his legs with a pair of sandals. He also had white bandages that wrapped around his face from the nose down. 

"Ah, yes, Naruto Namikaze, Jounin of the Hidden Leaf," He said. "Also known as The Kindhearted Shinobi, but you also have a different name, don't you?" Naruto cocked his head to the side. 

"Zabuza Momochi, former Jounin of the Hidden Mist, also known as The Demon of the Bloody Mist," He said as he rose an eyebrow. "And what do you mean another nickname? I'm unaware." 

"Heh heh heh," Zabuza said as he glared at Naruto. "You are quite the legend, Naruto Namikaze, you are the son of the Fourth Hokage, and you are known to spare your enemies to a ridiculous level, but you are also known as The Revenger, right?" Naruto paused as Zabuza continued. "You slaughtered three Jounin-level when you were just ten years old right? Quite brutally too if I were to say so myself. You did it with such ease, it makes me jealous, that started your legend!. No, it makes me excited to face you. But it is also said you killed your best friend and-"

"That's enough!" Naruto shouted. He glanced at his team and Tazuna. "Get back, he's dangerous to you."

"Think about yourself!" Sakura shouted. "He's coming at you!" Naruto caught Zabuza's blade with his hand, it glowing a golden yellow. Naruto's smile disappeared. 

"I do not fear, Sakura." He said before a crack appeared in Zabuza's blade, the man's eyes widening in shock before it shattered suddenly as Naruto increased his grip expedentionally. 

"What?" Naruto suddenly socked Zabuza in the face, the man flying across the dirt, now several meters away from the blonde who slowly approached, taking off his cloak as he let it fly in the wind. 

"Zabuza, the thing about legends," Naruto flashed in front of the former mist ninja and planted his knee in his abdomen, making the man cough violently as he tried to stand on his two feet, but his vision was hazy. "Is that unless the person who is legendary is dead, then you can talk your talk without having to walk it. But I'm alive, and you called me a legend. Let me show you legendary." 

Naruto exploded with chakra as Zabuza was flung back onto the water, burn marks littering his body. "I've mastered every single jutsu that's in the village beside the forbidden ones, and even then I'll master those soon enough. It'll only take me a year once I get the scroll." 

Naruto walked onto the water as Zabuza glared at him, feeling like a child at how easily Naruto was demolishing him. "Hey Zabuza, do you think you're Kage level yet?" Zabuza didn't say anything. "It's okay, I want you to answer." 

". . . no." Naruto shrugged.

"I thought so, I mean, you couldn't even overthrow your damn Mizukage. I'm pretty sure I'm stronger than the Third Hokage, I'm the strongest in my village, and if I an arrogant bastard, I'd say I was the strongest in the world, but there's one person who's on par with me I think, or maybe he's gotten stronger? I don't know, but guess what?" 

Naruto appeared behind Zabuza. "It's not you." A chop of the neck and Zabuza was down for the count. Naruto sighed as he caught the larger man's body in his right hand. Suddenly, a teen with an Anbu mask appeared next to Naruto. 

"Thank you, I've been hunting him for a long time." Naruto chuckled. 

"Oh hell no, you can't fool me." A chakra chain suddenly found itself wrapped around the 'Anbu's' neck as Naruto's Sharingan flashed to life, spinning as he forced eye contact. "Go to sleep, child." The body slumped before Naruto tossed Zabuza in the air, another chain catching him as it wrapped around his body, carrying him with ease.

"That was easy, okay guys, let's go!" He announced with a grin. Sasuke was glaring at him. He formed an O with his mouth and nodded. "I'll explain when we get to stop and rest. I promise." 

They would be in for a long talk.

Yes, Naruto has KCM 2, if that wasn't hinted then idk how else you'll get it. He and Kurama are friends. Naruto is stronger than all the Hokage. Let's just say that.
