"Are you sure you can do this?" Kurenai asked in a skeptical manner, her hand was resting on Naruto's shoulder, standing on his right with Anko on his left, her hand resting on top of his blonde hair. 

"Positive." He whispered as his closed eyes tightened, the boat they were on rocking slightly. "There's land several miles north. I can make it most of the way, probably nine-tenths of the way, but if I do any more I'll pass out." 

"Flash Step that far?" Anko whispered, whistling lowly, impressed. "Go on then goldilocks." Naruto didn't say anything but chakra swirled across his body, the blue chakra going around his body like a tornado before his bright blue eyes opened and the trio of shinobi, as well as the boat, teleported. 

The appeared just a few feet away from the shore, Naruto panting slightly as beads of sweat formed on his brow. 

"This is a lot closer than you said. . ." Kurenai stated, looking at the child amazed.

"Guess I underestimated the distance, oh well." He popped up, shrugging off their hands as he walked onto the water, wiping his blue sleeve across his forehead. "Let's get going, the air is thick with chakra, probably what made me mess up." 

"You can feel the chakra?" Anko asked curiously, causing Naruto to nod.

"I blame my tenant. He makes my senses like hearing and smelling better." Kurenai's eyebrows shot up.

"He? How do you know that the Kyuubi is a male?" Naruto looked away, his grin all but gone.

"His voice." Was all he answered. 

Flashback

"You killed those Genin back in the 2nd Exam," Naruto whispered, no longer smiling, but he was frowning, his chakra swirling violently around him as the red chakra around his disembodied hand became more intense. "You killed Kaneki's team! You killed the team from Kumo!" 

"Kill them all. Release all of your negative emotions just this once and tear them limb from limb!" Kyuubi shouted into Naruto's mind, thrashing against the impenetrable metal bars that made up the seal. 

Flashback End

"It keeps getting thicker," Naruto whispered before his grin spread further upon his face. "That's what she said." 

"Oh?" Was all Anko could say in surprise while Kurenai shook her head in disapproval.

"Inappropriate and degrading, then again, what did I expect from a child?" Naruto's grin stayed as if it were glued. 

"This child could totally kick your booty BUT I DON'T LIKE VIOLENCE!" He shouted at the top of his lungs before jumping into the air, several kunai hitting the place where he had been sitting, Kurenai's red eyes glaring angrily at Naruto while Anko snickered. 

"Holy shit this kid is awesome." She breathed.

Kurenai's eyes rolled. "You're supposed to be on my side!" 

"I'll have you know I'm almost a teenager. . .in one year and three months." Anko continued to laugh, holding her sides. 

"Jeez, I keep forgetting I'm six years older than you," Anko said as he wiped the tear away from her eyes.   

"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever," Naruto said as he hopped off the branch elegantly, his small limbs landing perfectly in sync as he took a deep breath. "This is a lot of pressure, the chakra is almost as strong as. . ." He trailed off. 

"Do not even try to compare this measly amount of chakra to the pressure of mine, child. You've seen nothing!" The Kyuubi growled from inside Naruto's mind, causing the blonde to shiver. Perhaps he underestimated the beast that had killed his parents and almost leveled his village. 

But he would be stronger than the Kyuubi would be. 

He would become so strong he would make the Kyuubi kneel before him without effort. 

The team walked past the trees that kept getting thicker, the leaves covering the sky as the shadows from the leaves that cast darkness on the trio. 

"Is that a building?" Kurenai asked aloud as she squinted her eyes, a faint outline of a square in the distance that could be barely seen from between the trees. Naruto shrugged.

"It might be, let's go find out, won't hurt." 

"It won't hurt unless it does hurt, hm." Anko got out as they began running towards the building in unison, dodging the trees easily. 

They broke the tree line, revealing a sandy area that extended as far as the eye could see with a single peach-colored temple with several orange-tinted windows littering the building. 

"That's not weird at all." Anko commented, crossing her arms over her chest, her eyes narrowed skeptically. 

"That chakra is coming from there. It's almost suffocating," Naruto said as he began walking forward. "But we can't stop now. Let's go," 

"Shouldn't we wait and analyze it first instead of charging headfirst?" Kurenai said snarkily. "You're being reckless, Namikaze."

"I don't remember asking for your opinion, Yuuhi." Naruto clapped back in an instant, not even looking back at her. 

"How dare yo-"

"Silence yourself." 

"YOU WILL NOT DISRESPECT ME!" She shouted angrily. "I'm tired of you thinking that you're all high and mighty because you're a Jounin! You're a child!" 

"I dislike fighting," Naruto said. "Anko, please control your friend." 

"Fight me right now Naruto Namikaze!" Kurenai shouted, unsheathing her kunai and pointing it at the child. "Fight me for the right to lead this mission!" 

"And if I refuse?" 

"Then I will stay right here and report you for incompetence." Naruto was quiet before shrugging, unbuttoning his cloak, it dropping to the ground as the sand moved, the wind picking up as his bright blue eyes shifted to a crimson red, three black tomoes in each eye. 

"Okay," He unsheathed his swords and dropped them next to his cloak. "I'll oblige," Kurenai hurled her kunai at him, which the blonde easily dodged by ducking. She rushed the blonde only for Naruto to grab her wrist in a split second and hurl her over his shoulder, the woman landing on all fours, glaring at Naruto. 

"I'm not done yet." She shouted, charging him again, this time weaving hand signs and casting a genjutsu upon Naruto, who sighed.

"My Sharingan can see through your illusions, Yuuhi. Perhaps this is why you cannot be a Jounin, you only specialize in one form of combat." He suddenly flashed in front of the woman, his Sharingan eyes hypnotizing her for a split second before planting his foot in her face, knocking her across the sand. 

"Don't," Kurenai began, wiping the blood from her chin. "DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME!" She jumped in front of him, another kunai in hand before she went to slash at his head, only for him to easily block the kunai by connecting his wrist to her own, halting the kunai from progressing as he quickly grabbed her shoulders and yanked her down, shoving his knee into her stomach as saliva escaped her mouth. 

"I believe I properly estimated you, Yuuhi. You overestimated yourself. Your arrogance knows no bounds. You underestimated me, not the other way around. Now get up and follow my orders." He sheathed his swords and put his cloak back on, clipping it together. "And rest assured, Hokage-sama shall get a full in-depth report at what transpired today." 

"Kurenai, are you okay?" Anko asked, worried for the out of breath woman who was still panting on the ground. 

"I-I'm fine. It's my p-pride that truly hurts." She got out in between breaths. 

"Let's go already. Do not resist my orders again or I'll actually have to try." And with that, Kurenai bregrudgingly followed him while Anko looked at Naruto with a mix of awe and fear.

Naruto Namikaze was a true beast.

And also, I won't be doing anymore italics and such due to issues with the readers. So I'll be labeling flashbacks from now on.
