Chapter 11: Shatter

"Hello everyone and welcome to the Third Exam of the Chunin Exams!" The Raikage roared, getting shouts and yells of approval from the stadium, not a single seat not being taken, some people were even standing. "Today we will be doing Squads of Three going to go against each other!" Another roar from the crowd made the Raikage smirk as he let it die down a little.

"I'm impressed," Hiruzen stated, sitting in a chair that was right to the Raikage. "You seem to be quite adept to rouse a crowd of this size so easily." Ay turned to Hiruzen, a cocky smirk on his face.

"It's to be expected, they respect me and the village of Kumo." He said.

"Hmph, the fact that I only have two teams that actually made it disappoints me," Onoki, the Tsuchikage of Iwa, said bitterly. "I sent ten teams here."

"Well, I sent only three and only one made it into the finals," Hiruzen stated, sucking on his pipe as smoke slowly exited his nose. "You shouldn't fret Onoki, having two teams out of ten is quite adequate in my opinion."

"I'm just ecstatic that my team got through!" The leader of Taki, Shibuki stated as a bead of sweat trailed down his cheek awkwardly.

"Hmph," Onoki got out, not giving the man a decent response, feeling that he doesn't deserve it.

"I think it's quite funny that Kiri couldn't send anyone," Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage of Suna said as he chuckled. "And to think that the Mizukage said he'd dominate these exams at the last one."

"He's a cocky brat and it's only because of his tenant," The Raikage got out. He then turned to the crowd again, them having died out a tad bit.

"And now for the exams to begin! Enjoy and place bets and buy from the concessions!" He hated formalities to the people, but if he wanted to generate more revenue, then he would bight the kunai and do so.

"As Raikage-sama said," A random Jounin stated as he appeared in the middle of the ring. "Can Team 18 from Suna make their way to the middle as well as Team Shisui from Konoha!" Naruto grinned brightly.

"We get to go first? Nice!"

"Unexpected, but a welcome surprise to be sure," Itachi said as Izumi smirked.

"We got this,"

The Sand team derived from three teenagers, probably around fifteen or sixteen years of age. All of them had blonde hair, probably from being in the sun constantly. They wore the traditional Suna Uniform, and they were all male.

"Let's do this, guys," One of them said, palming his fist. "They gave us a bunch of kids, it should be easy!"

"Please don't underestimate us, it wouldn't be beneficial to you at all!" Naruto spoke kindly as he unsheathed his sword, waiting for the Kumo Jounin's instructions.

"How old are you? Five? Just shut up and let's get this over with," One of them scoffed. "Proctor, please begin the match."

"Okay," The Kumo Jounin began, eyeing the Sand Team warily, knowing who exactly Naruto was, him being the same boy who had stronger chakra than Killer Bee, the Eight-Tails Jinchuuriki, the proctor for the First Exam. "Begin!"

"Your team is quite confident," Hiruzen commented as he watched the Suna Team talk to Konoha's.

"It's to be expected, they are our strongest team. If they cannot win against some children, then they don't deserve to be Chunin." Rasa said as he felt a tug on his cloak, revealing his eight-year-old daughter, Temari.

"Father I wish to watch," She spoke politely. Rasa narrowed his eyes, ready to speak to his daughter rather harshly before Hiruzen spoke kindly.

"Why not? She's to be a shinobi soon, correct? The finals will give her something to expect." Rasa practically growled at Hiruzen's interference but conceded as he motioned for his daughter to sit next to him.

"You will be quiet, Temari." He demanded, getting a nod from his daughter as she watched the two teams clash.

"That blonde boy looks familiar," Onoki commented as he narrowed his eyes at the boy. "The one from Konoha, he almost looks like. . ."

"I thought you were going to beat us easily?" Izumi taunted as she easily dodged the Suna Genin's attacks, working with her sword to block kunai and shuriken that were being hurled at her from several directions, her Sharingan effortlessly tracking them all, her eyes darting across the arena.

"Shut up and die!" One of them roared as they rushed Izumi, only to be kicked in the temple by Itachi, knocking him out immediately.

"You should pay attention to your surroundings," Itachi commented before his three tomoed Sharingan activated as he met one of the Suna Genin's eyes, immediately casting a genjutsu that put the teen to sleep, the genin falling to the dirt.

"Woah, you almost got me!" Naruto said, laughing as he dodged left and right as the Suna Genin tried to desperately hit him with a wind sword.

"Be quiet and just die!" He cried out, noticing that his two teammates were down for the count. "I won't fail!"

"I feel bad," Naruto said as he jumped over the Genin. "I feel like I'm toying with you, it wasn't my intention. Can you just surrender?"

"Never!" He shouted only for Naruto to disappear in a blur, appearing right behind the teen as he chopped his neck, the Suna Genin crumpling to the ground.

"Winner! Team Shisui!"

Killing intent swirled off of the Tsuchikage, Hiruzen looking at the man wearily.

"What's wrong, Onoki?" Ay asked, almost angrily. He was causing the civilians to start cowering in fear.

"Namikaze," He growled as he glared at Naruto.

"Ah, so he's Minato's brat. Interesting," Rasa commented as he looked at Naruto with interest. "Don't do anything rash, Onoki. You need to rid yourself of this petty grudge?"

"Petty?" Onoki seethed, glaring at Rasa now. "Minato Namikaze decimated half of my village's manpower! And now his son is here without a care in the world!"

"I suggest you calm down," Hiruzen stated calmly. "You will do nothing to harm that boy, his father entrusted his safety to me, and I will do everything in my power to keep him safe and alive."

"And if I do?" Hiruzen glanced at Onoki, who was glaring at the Hokage now.

"Then the other half of your forces will be reduced to nothingness." He said seriously, his killing intent being focused on Onoki, who now had a hard time breathing.

"Is that a threat?" He got out.

"A promise," Hiruzen assured.

"Enough of this!" Ay shouted. "We will continue these exams. Onoki, you are to do nothing to that boy! And Hiruzen, calm yourself!"

"Why are you defending him?" Onoki hissed. "This is the son of the man that killed many of your shinobi as well!" The Raikage took a deep breath, closing his eyes.

"Indeed he is," Hiruzen felt his heart drop. He was sure he could take on Onoki, but Onoki and Ay at the same time? He was a tad bit less confident. "But I am above petty vengeance. We were at war, casualties are to be expected, you lost more because you underestimated the power of one shinobi. You paid the price. Besides," He looked at Naruto with appraising eyes, knowing the hidden strength the child contained.

"That boy is not his father. Minato Namikaze's sins are not that boy's. He has always smiled since I've seen him, and he has an honorable, despite being slightly foolish, dream. He is pure." Onoki calmed down at the Raikage's speech.

"Hmph," Was all he got out.

"Well that was easy enough," Naruto said as they sat in the waiting booth, watching another team of sand nin fight some Iwa shinobi, the Iwa shinobi were the same team that Naruto had encountered in the first exam, Horo, Aiza, and an unknown female.

They won with just a tad bit of difficulty.

Then, it was Samui, Darui, and Cee's group vs. Another Sand Team and they won effectively, using their better teamwork with their swords and lightning manipulation to surpass the enemy's speed.

"Jeez, I'm getting bored," Kaneki yawned as he put his hands behind his white hair. "I just wanna fight already." Naruto looked up at Kaneki, smiling at the boy and tilting his head.

"Don't worry, you'll get your chance. I hope you do your best!" Kaneki rose an eyebrow at the blonde before looking over at Itachi.

"You were right, he is overly nice." Naruto turned to Itachi, still smiling.

"You spoke of me?" Itachi laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his jet-black hair.

"Not much, not much. I just told them you motivated me to save them when they were in a sticky situation."

"Yeah," Akira shouted happily. "Itachi-san saved us from those creepy bugs! If it wasn't for him we'd probably be dead." Naruto popped up and walked over to the team, holding out his hand.

"I'm Naruto Namikaze, thank you for being kind to my teammate!" Kaneki looked at the child curiously before taking his hand, shaking it.

"No problem, I'm Ken Kaneki, this here is Kotaro Amon and Akira Mado, we're from Taki." Naruto nodded.

"I've never met someone from Taki before, that's cool! What's it like?" Kaneki's eyes widened slightly before looking down at the ground, a small smile on his face.

"It's nice and peaceful, we don't get in a lot of skirmishes, and the waterfalls are always a place someone can go for peace and quiet. I enjoy living there and I'm a proud shinobi of Taki, even if it's not one of the Big Five." Naruto fought the urge to roll his eyes.

"Eh whatever, the Big Five are overrated anyway. When I'm in control, everyone will be equal! Every village will have a say in what happens, not just the powerful ones!"

"You really think that'll ever happen?" Akira asked rhetorically. "The Big Five treat all of the other villages like trash, we don't even get invited to the Kage Summit that rarely ever happens in the first place." Her light teal eyes narrowed as she looked as the other teams fought. "The shinobi world is ruled by those who have power."

"That's why I'm going to become super strong!" Naruto practically yelled, shocking Akira and waking Amon up, the teen coughing slightly, wiping his eyes. "I'm going to be the strongest shinobi to ever exist! No one will be able to oppose me and I'll create peace!"

"So a dictator?" Amon asked skeptically. "Doesn't sound like a peaceful way to do things to me." Naruto faltered slightly, his grin turning into a small, sad smile.

"Naruto!" Izumi called, having heard the conversation. "Get over here and stop bothering them! They're fighting next!"

"Strongest shinobi to ever exist? Like that'll ever happen." An Iwa Genin scoffed as he stood up. Naruto looked up and recognized him immediately.

He was the one who killed all the Genin at the start of the 2nd Exam.

He was tall, almost six feet in length and he had broad, muscular shoulders, and on his back, he had a single, thin sword. He had dark brown hair and dark calculating green eyes that seemed to be glaring at all times. He even had a little stubble on his cheekbones. Naruto figured he was around sixteen or seventeen, maybe even eighteen if he were to guess.

"All you tree-huggers are the same, you scream and shout for peace, preaching it all the time and yet all the people who are actually ever strong enough to actually do something die early. Look at your first two Hokages, they died pretty early, and so did that Namikaze bastard, you do realize that the Third is the only Hokage to live past thirty-five years old, right? And even then he's getting old, he's going to die soon of old age."

"Be quiet," Izumi hissed. "Do not speak ill of Hokage-sama!" The man/teen rolled his eyes, descending down the stairs.

"I'll say what I want. Who's gonna stop me? Mr. 'I'm going to be the strongest to ever exist'? I doubt it." He looked at the smallest member of his team, glaring at him.

"I'm going to kill you Namikaze, but not because of your father, but just because you're an annoying bastard." Itachi stood up immediately, his Sharingan blazing before Naruto held out his hand, stopping the Uchiha.

"May I ask your name?"

"Come on, Kazuma," The Iwa Genin's female teammate said as she strode past him. "Let's just beat the Taki nobodies and win this tournament."

"Don't tell me what to do bitch," He growled before shoving his hands in his pockets before looking at the Taki team that was also heading down to the arena, a cruel smirk coming across his face. "Jurong!" He shouted, causing his blonde-haired teammate to immediately run to the arena, a grin on his face. "Let's show these bastards a taste of true power!"

"I'm all hyped up now!" Jurong shouted as he jumped back and forth, loosening his shoulders as his face splitting grin creeped out the proctor of the exam. "Are you ready, Misa?" He asked his female teammate.

She had short black hair with a red sash going across her waist.

"Good luck, Kaneki, Akira, Amon!" Naruto cheered. "I believe in you!"

"If you don't win I'm going to kick your ass!" Itachi shouted, a grin on his face. He had confidence in the team from Taki.

Onoki sighed, turning to Shibuki.

"Despite your being of a lower village, I do apologize for what is about to happen." He said sincerely before turning to the Raikage. "I hope you have cleaners, you're going to need it."

"Are you implying that me shinobi are weak, Onoki?" Shibuki asked, narrowing his eyes. Onoki shook his head.

"No, they can be strong, but they cannot be stronger than those three. They are known as the Three Monsters of Stone. They will turn your Genin into nothing but pulp." Shibuki hmphed, crossing his arms.

"We shall see." Rasa glanced at his daughter.

"Watch closely, Temari. This is what a real shinobi battle looks like."

"Are you ready?" The proctor began, sensing the sheer amount of killing intent the Iwa Team was emitting, wanting to get away from it immediately. Kaneki nodded, taking out his sword.

"Yes!"

"Of course," Kazuma drawled out.

"Then start!" Almost immediately the one known as Jurong suddenly disappeared from view before appearing right in front of Amon, a large knife in his hand before he slashed forward, and flashing away again, appearing right where he was standing.

"A-Amon?" Akira asked in a scared tone. The kind, large teen looked at his two teammates and smiled before a thin line opened on his neck and blood suddenly sprayed out as he fell to the ground, dead. "AMON!"

"You bastard!" Kaneki said between gritted teeth as he glared furiously at the three Iwa Genin. "You'll pay for that!"

"I doubt it," Misa said as she made several hand seals before a wall made of stone appeared next to her, it being two feet in diameter and five feet in length. "Now die, the both of you." She stated calmly as the stone suddenly sprouted out two thin yet sharp spike in the middle before she snapped her finger, the two spikes of stone shooting forward.

Kaneki used his sword to cut the stone spike in half, glaring at the three Genin still.

"Come on Akira! Let's kill these bastards!"

"K-Kaneki," He heard a stuttered whisper come from behind him as he turned around, his grey eyes widening, his pupils shrinking at the sight of a stone spike in Akira's chest, it had pierced her heart. "S-Sorry," A trail of blood went down her chin before she fell backward, the spike pushing out of her as she hit the ground with a thump.

"AKIRA!" He screamed in pain as he rushed to her side, his eyes leaking tears as he tried to feel a pulse, only to find none. "AGGGHHHH!" He screamed in agony, his left eye turning completely black with red pupils as he turned around. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!"

"Kaneki!" Shibuki screamed from the stands. "Give up! Save yourself!"

"I will not!" Kaneki replied in a scream. "I will kill these bastards for killing Amon and Akira!"

Kazuma rose his eyebrow.

"I sincerely doubt that." He said, his hand suddenly began glowing a bright gold color before he disappeared in a flash of red, the color of his traditional Iwa outfit the only thing the crowd was able to see before he shoved his fist right into Kaneki's chest, his hand holding Kaneki's heart that was seen from behind his back, lifting the white-haired boy in the air before flinging him to the ground, Kaneki's heart still in his hand before he crushed it, the blood spilling out of his hand as he let it drop the ground unceremoniously.

"Winner: Team 22 of Iwa!" The proctor announced, slightly green in the cheeks from seeing such brutality.

The crowd cheered at the bloodshed.

Itachi seethed silently as he sat on the bench, tears gathering in his eyes as the pain in his chest tightened, gripping at his heart, squeezing it as Kazuma had squeeze Kaneki's.

"That was t-terrible," Izumi whispered in fear. "H-How are we going to b-beat that?" She suddenly felt very inadequate. Maybe she wasn't ready, maybe she wasn't. . .

"Don't worry guys," Naruto said, his eyes closed as a small smile was on his face. "We'll beat them."

"How can you be so calm?" Itachi whispered. "How does that not break you? How doesn't it tear into your heart?" He said accusingly. Naruto looked at his slightly younger teammate.

"I'm supposed to be happy. As long as you guys are okay, I'm happy."

"How can you say that?" Itachi asked, tears going down his cheeks. "They were good people! I'd even call them friends! How could you just say that without feeling anything?!" Naruto's smile stayed the same as he saw the Iwa Genin approached the waiting box.

"Kazuma of Iwa," Naruto began, gaining the team's attention. "We're going to beat you. You needlessly killed Kaneki and his teammates, you're a bad person, as well as your teammates. You will lose."

"Pfft, okay Namikaze. I'll kill you the same way I did the freaky-eyed nobody." Itachi stood up, his sword in hand as he swung it, only for it to be stopped in midair by Darui, who just shook his head.

"Wait until you can fight him legally, you don't want to be disqualified, do you?" He asked softly.

"I'll kill you," Itachi whispered. "I promise, I'll kill you!" Naruto's eyes opened as he looked at Itachi with shock. He has never seen or heard Itachi lose his cool like that.

"Yeah right, calm yourself before I split you open like a watermelon." Kazuma threatened before he and his teammates sat down a couple of rows back.

"Pay attention," Samui called out. "Raikage-sama is speaking."

"And that concludes the first portion of the first round! Now to begin the 2nd Round!" He shouted, gathering the attention of everyone in the stadium. "Since there are five teams, the team that had the best teamwork will have an automatic win while the other teams must fight before the final round may begin!

"The team has already been suggested by the Kage, and that is Team 9 of Kumo!" Samui's eyes widened as she realized that it was her team that got the automatic win. Cee let out a relieved sigh as Darui shrugged, taking it in stride. "Now the proctor will announce the next two teams to face off!"

The proctor coughed in his hand before shouting the two teams. "Will Team 22 of Iwa and Team 32 of Kumo get into the arena!"

The result was the same, but this time Kazuma didn't lift a single finger, having his two teammates do all the work.

They killed the irrelevant team of Kumo quite easily. The Kumo proctor, obviously slightly angered at the loss of his village's loss, called for Naruto's team, and Horo's team.

"Are you ready?" He asked. Naruto didn't say anything, the smile on his face indicating that his team was.

"Bring it!" Horo shouted eagerly.

"THEN BEGIN!" The proctor shouted as Izumi and Itachi vanished as they charged the Iwa Team, Naruto standing still, the stupid smile still on his face.

"Are you going to fight with your teammates?" The unknown female asked, standing next to Naruto as she watched Itachi fight Horo and Izumi fight Aiza.

"I'm in no mood to fight," Naruto answered honestly. "Those two are strong enough to beat the three of you, I need not to interfere."

"Then you are foolish!" She whispered before he held a sword against his throat. "Konoha Genin!" Itachi and Izumi froze, looking at Naruto, who was still smiling, with alarm on their faces. "Surrender or the blonde dies!"

"You called me foolish," Naruto began as he looked at the teen next to him, a grin on his face. "But you don't even know that I've already beaten you." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion before the Naruto faded from her view as if he were a ghost before she felt herself fall forward and embrace the darkness, Naruto standing behind her, having chopped her neck.

"Quit playing around and just beat them already," Naruto called out to Izumi and Itachi. "I want to face Kazuma already." Itachi and Izumi complied with the blonde's directions, easily knocking out the two remaining Iwa Genin.

"Winner: Team Shisui!" The crowd roared in approval. The three remained on the field as they looked at the Raikage expectedly, noticing that he had stood up to speak.

"And now for the final round!" He shouted, getting shouts and cheers from the obviously pleased crowd. "It will be a free-for-all! The three teams shall fight each other and only one team can remain the victor!"

Kazuma's team and Samui's team came into the arena, and Cee was shaking uncontrollably, fear radiating off of his body.

"Onoki," Hiruzen began as he blew the smoke out of his nostrils. "Those Genin, they are high Chunin or perhaps, Jounin, aren't they?" Onoki didn't speak while Shibuki looked at the Tsuchikage with rage.

"You knowingly sent out those who are not Genin into the Chunin Exams? Just to prove you were superior?!"

"I will not be questioned by a lowly village," Onoki snarled. "It's your fault for raising weak shinobi."

"You will be penalized, Onoki," Ay said as he sat back down from his speech. "Your team will not take this win, but the team who places second." Onoki scowled but knew better than to argue. He was in the wrong, but it would be a warm day in hell before he admitted it.

In Konoha

The stadium that streamed the Chunin Exams had a mix of emotions. They were horrified at the Iwa Team's brutality against Taki's, but they knew better than to question it.

It was the Chunin Exams, people were bound to die.

"I wonder who will win," Mikoto said aloud as she bounced Sasuke on her knees, the young Uchiha playing with a small rattle.

"Itachi's team will of course," Fugaku said confidently. "They hold the sacred eyes of the Uchiha and are the cream of the crop of Konoha. They will beat those foolish Iwa and Kumo teams."

"You're absolutely right," Kakashi said as he held up a peace sign as he sat down next to Fugaku. "They'll win and bring back glory with them!"

"That they will," Fugaku confirmed, a small yet pleased smirk on his face.

They would win.

Back to the show

"We give up!" Cee shouted at the top of his lungs, interrupting the proctor who was about to start the match. Samui immediately elbowed the boy in the ribs.

"Shut up!" She growled. "No, we don't!"

"Yes, we do!" He protested again, breaking away from Samui as he looked at the proctor with pleading eyes. "We surrender!"

"Why?" Darui questioned. Cee had been shaking this entire time, so there must've been a good reason.

"I'm a sensor, one of the best the village has to offer," Cee began. "And right now, the three Iwa Genin are stronger than us, that could be seen at how they just killed those two teams just now! They all hold darkness and it makes me cold just thinking of it." His eyes then trailed over to Team Shisui, his eyes set on Naruto.

"But even if it's combined, it is practically nothing to what I feel radiating off of him. His presence his overwhelming my senses, and it's setting off so many alarms, I feel that if we fight we will die."

"Naruto?" Samui said with a questioning look. "But he's just a kind sweetheart, how can he be worse than those asses over there?" She gestured towards the Iwa Genin.

"He just is," Cee breathed out. "I feel it, there's so much darkness that's mixed with anger, rage, anger, and hatred, I can't bear to do it! We're surrendering!" Samui's eyes widened as she looked at Naruto before sighing and raising her hand.

"We surrender." The crowd booed, but the team ignored them as they went back to the waiting stands.

"At least they can sense they can't win," Onoki said with a sigh. "Though the same cannot be said for the Konoha Genin." He got out as he looked at Hiruzen from the corner of his eye.

"We shall see," Was all Hiruzen got out.

"Begin!" The proctor shouted as the two teams glared at each other before Kazuma held his hand up.

"Don't interfere. I want to fight these three on my own."

"Fine," Jurong huffed as he sat down on the ground while Misa did the same.

"Are you ready to meet your demise, Namikaze?" Kazuma asked as he began approaching the ten-year-old.

"We're going to beat you," Naruto said happily as he unsheathed his sword, two chakra chains sprouting from his back. "I hope you will look back on this day as the day you got beat by people who aren't even teenagers yet."

"Yeah, okay, just come on!" Kazuma said as he took out his sword, wielding the thin blade slightly.

"DIE!" Itachi screamed, his Sharingan active as he charged Kazuma, swinging his sword wildly as the older teen just dodged him, not even connecting swords with him. Izumi quickly made a few hand signs before her sword turned into ten, each one connected to a string that was wrapped around each of her fingers before she began manipulating with the strings as she swung them at Kazuma, all ten swords flowing fluently interacting with each other as Kazuma dodged each and every one of them, his speed outmatching that of her swords.

"Huh, that looks familiar to puppeteering," Rasa commented, rubbing his chin. "Did she learn that by herself?" He asked.

"She developed the idea," Hiruzen began, a proud smirk on his face. "But Shisui actually helped her put it into action."

"Interesting, I applaud her for being able to hone it so nicely. It would be a lot more dangerous if she could pick up the pace of the sword, but it's good enough for someone who only trained for a month."

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Itachi shouted as a ball of flames streamed out of his mouth as they headed towards Kazuma, who narrowly dodged it before he held up his sword, blocking an overhead strike from Naruto, who's smile hadn't diminished in the slightest.

"Bout time, brat," Kazuma stated as he whirled around, cutting the chakra strings that connected Izumi's swords with his sword as nine of them poofed out of existence while the original one clattered the ground. "Now for the real fight to begin!"

Izumi rushed forward, collecting her sword before the three Genin from the Leaf began a kenjutsu battle with the Iwa genin, who deflected and returned attacks efficiently, his strikes becoming faster and stronger as he continued on, using his momentum to fuel his descending sword.

"Hmph, let's wipe that smile off your face, Namikaze!" Kazuma shouted as he suddenly bashed Izumi in the head with the hilt of his sword before kneeing her in the stomach and grabbing the collar of her shirt and hurling her across the arena, the girl hitting the wall.

He then caught Naruto's sword between his two fingers, which were glowing golden before he yanked it out of Naruto's hands, the smile on Naruto's face diminishing slightly before Kazuma planted his foot on Naruto's chest, kicking the boy who tumbled across the ground, scrapping up his knees and elbows before ducking under Itachi's swipe for his head, using Naruto's sword to slice at the boy's abdomen, making blood fall onto the ground as Itachi grit his teeth in pain.

Kazuma then stabbed Itachi in the shoulder with Naruto's sword, twisting it as the child let out a scream of pain as he collapsed to his knees, the sword still in his shoulder as he dropped his own.

"Weak!" Kazuma shouted as he lifted his own sword in the air, ready to strike Itachi down as the Uchiha could do nothing but watch in slow motion, his Sharingan still active. "Now die!"

"NO!" Fugaku shouted as he stood up, his eyes wide with fear for his son.

"ITACHI!" Mikoto cried out.

"NOOOOOOO!" Naruto screamed, panicking as he suddenly flashed in front of Itachi, using his wrist to catch the sword as the sword sliced through his wrist like butter, cutting off his hand as blood began pouring out of the wound immediately as Naruto fell to the ground, screaming in agony at the sight of his severed hand that laid before him.

"Holy shit kid," Kazuma began, looking at his sword with a weird look. "I'm not going to lie, that was pretty respectable. Losing your hand for your teammate? I mean, it's not going to matter within a minute or so because you're going to die as well as your teammates, but its the thought that counts!" He said before kicking Naruto in the chin, knocking the boy out immediately as he flew across the arena.

Hiruzen was standing now, gripping the railing nervously.

"Calm down, Hiruzen," Ay said lightly. "It happens."

"I was supposed to protect him," Hiruzen whispered softly as he felt his throat tighten, tears threatening to fall out of his eyes.

"We've all lost good people today," Shibuki whispered in a depression. "Just look away."

Kazuma raised his sword.

"I won't miss a second time, no Namikaze to save you this time, Uchiha!" Kazuma swung his sword down, only to meet a blade as Izumi stood in front of him, defending Itachi, blood pouring down her head as a gash openly let blood flow out. "Now I'm just getting mad," Kazuma admitted.

"I won't let my comrades die!" Izumi shouted passionately as she pressed against Kazuma's sword. Kazuma narrowed his eyes.

"Shut up!" He backhanded Izumi to the ground, but the girl still stood up, her sword shaking slightly as she gripped it.

"NO!" She screamed, charging him. "I will not allow my teammates to die!" He disarmed her with a single swipe of his sword before grabbing onto her head and slamming her to the ground, a crack appearing in the dirt.

"Stay down and die!" He shouted angrily.

"URGGAAHHH!" Itachi screamed as he pulled out the sword of his shoulder, lacing it with his chakra before hurling it at Kazuma, it just barely grazing his cheek.

"You failed," Kazuma said as he stood up completely, walking over to Itachi, who's vision was getting blurry from the amount of blood loss he was experiencing. "Now join your teammates in the aftermath!"

"No," Mikoto wept. "Please, not by baby!"

". . ." Fugaku silently seethed as tears crawled down his face, the man becoming broken.

His son was as good as dead.

"I've failed everyone, haven't I?" Kakashi whispered as he openly wept. "I'm sorry, sensei, I'm so sorry, Naruto."

"Naruto," A familiar female voice whispered in the unconscious boy's ear lovingly. "It's time to wake up!"

"Yeah, come on Naruto, you can do it!" A familiar male voice also whispered. "We're rooting for you!"

"Itachi and Izumi need you, do you want them to die?" Naruto couldn't speak, but he could hear. He wanted to scream no, to say that he wanted to save them, but he couldn't, he was frozen.

"You have the power to save them, we can feel it." Minato Namikaze whispered.

"Release it, release and show your true power Sochi," Kushina Namikaze whispered in his ear.

"Save them!" They whispered in unison before disappearing.

"Okay. . ."

Naruto stood up, his chakra swelling around him as the bleeding from his right hand had stopped, his chakra turning a bright red in that area. Kazuma stopped as Itachi fell the ground, unconscious.

"What the fuck?"

"You killed those Genin back in the 2nd Exam," Naruto whispered, no longer smiling, but he was frowning, his chakra swirling violently around him as the red chakra around his disembodied hand became more intense. "You killed Kaneki's team! You killed the team from Kumo!"

"So what? I will do whatever I want, when I want it!"

"You're evil," Naruto whispered, his voice holding so much venom that Kazuma couldn't help but flinch slightly. "Those who kill are evil, no matter the circumstances." A new hand suddenly sprouted from the red chakra, replacing the one that had been cut off, surprising the entire stadium. "Mother, Father, please," Naruto looked up, glaring at Kazuma, his three tomoed Sharingan spinning.

The amount of anger, pain, rage, and hatred coming off of Naruto in waves was suffocating, making even the Kage look at him with amazement.

"Please," Naruto continued. "Allow me to be evil!"

"I told you," Cee whispered as Samui looked at Naruto with awe and slight fear.

"So you did. . ."

"Naruto?" Kakashi got out, questioning if that was his little brother in the picture. It looked like him, but it was very different from the Naruto he knew.

The Naruto he knew was a pure being.

Was this the mask that Shisui spoke of?

"Please, save him, Naruto," Mikoto whispered while Fugaku watched on in silence, amazement filling his entire being.

This was the real Naruto Namikaze.

"Well then come-" Kazuma began, only to feel the tendons behind his knees sliced in an instant, unable to keep standing as he was forced to his knees. His sword was gone as Naruto appeared in front of him, Kazuma's sword in his hand.

"Kazuma of Iwa, I hereby release you of your duties," Naruto spoke as he harshly gripped the teen's dark brown hair, holding the sword up into the air, the blade pointing at Kazuma's eyes.

"You don't have the balls!" Kazuma growled. Naruto didn't say anything, he just looked into Kazuma's dark green eyes.

"I hope you freeze in Hell," Naruto said before thrusting the sword into Kazuma's eye, killing the powerful teen immediately as his teammates suddenly rushed into action, both trying to hit Naruto with their respective blade, but Naruto expertly dodged each slice before two chakra chains shout out of his back, piercing both of their stomachs as they flew into the wall, cracking the concrete.

"You are evil as well, allow me to cleanse you both," Naruto said in a monotone before two more chakra chains sprouted out of his back. "This is for Akira and Amon, and the rest of the people you've killed!" The chain shot forward towards Misa, piercing her forehead, killing her instantaneously.

Using the chakra chain that had pierced Jurong, he brought the remaining Iwa teen closer before slamming him on the ground, large cracks appearing under the teen's sudden impact.

"You all disgust me, maybe you have some purity inside of you?" Ignoring the teen's screams of agony, Naruto raised him above his head before the three remaining chains pierced Jurong's body before forcefully tearing him apart, splitting him in half as his guts and organs fell to the ground, his blood raining upon Naruto who deactivated his Sharingan and chakra chains, just standing there, covered in blood.

"Brutality for brutality, the record has been set straight," Naruto said before closing his eyes and grinning. "Well, proctor-san? Aren't you gonna announce the winners?" The proctor had been standing far away from the boy, but he heard him as he immediately broke from his daze of shock and horror and announced the winner to the crowd.

"Winner of the Chunin Exams: Team Shisui!" The medics traveled to collect Itachi and Izumi, who were severely injured while the body collectors got to pick up the dead bodies of the fake Genin from Iwa, struggling to pick up Jurong's body.

"That's what happens when you push someone to their breaking point," Rasa said, shaking his head. "That Kazuma boy should've just killed them instead of wasting time. Now look at him, dead." Onoki was in a state of shock, not believing that three of his Jounin had lost to one Genin rather easily.

It was ridiculous, to say the least.

Hiruzen however, was horrified with the child's actions. He had never expected the Namikaze to do that in a thousand years, especially not at ten-years-old. It worried him.

Was this darkness always part of Naruto?

Would it stay forever?

And done. How was it? Good? Bad? Tell mee!
