●18. New Year●
30th December, 2015
It had been two weeks since Rishaan rejoined his office. He had piles of paper work to do. It was so tiring for any other man, but for him, it was refreshing.
It was seven pm when Rishaan checked his wrist watch. He closed the file he was reviewing and put it in the cupboard. He stood up, locked his cabin and left for home.
In half an hour Rishaan was home. Amaya, Ansh and Disha were already waiting for him so they could have their dinner together. Rishaan directly went upstairs and freshened up quickly. He changed into blue coloured full sleeve t-shirt and grey pants. He went downstairs and found them already on the dining table.
"What's the dinner for today?" Rishaan asked, settling down on his chair.
"Baingan Ka Bharta. [A vegetarian dish that is prepared by mincing eggplant that is grilled over charcoal or direct fire.]" Amaya replied, making a blank face.
The expressions on Rishaan's face were priceless. He had made such an ugly face.
"Eww! I don't want to eat then." Rishaan made an awful face.
There was silence for whole two minutes and then suddenly, Amaya, Disha and Ansh started laughing loudly at him. Rishaan looked at them, one by one, cluelessly.
"Mamma has made Pasta." Disha giggled as she said.
"Red sauce Pasta." Ansh added, licking his upper lip.
Rishaan looked at Amaya, she was sitting there silently and enjoying teasing him. She wasn't laughing at him but the laugh was in her eyes.
"Sorry!" Amaya mouthed, holding her left ear.
Rishaan's face was all blank as if he was angry at her. Her smile disappeared as soon as she noticed him glaring at her. I shouldn't have done that. She regretted and looked down. She glanced up at him and his facial expressions were still the same. He was literally shooting death glares at her. After an awkward moment the corner of his mouth twitched into his cheek, dimpling it. It transformed him from someone cold to someone she wished she knew better. Just a smirk.
"Not done ya!" Rishaan said with the same smirk. "I'll definitely take my revenge." He added and Amaya chuckled. "I'm so hungry, give me food or... " He smirked and she let out a little laugh.
Amaya served Pasta to everyone. They had their dinner, talking about everything and anything, and laughing. Amaya collected all the plates once they were done and put them in the sink. She cleaned the dining table while Rishaan sat with the kids, watching some cartoons. Amaya washed all the plates and then cleaned the platform. As she was going to turn the lights off, she heard someone ringing the doorbell.
Who could be here at this time? Amaya thought and walked out of the kitchen. Rishaan had already reached at the door and was just going to open it. He opened the door and stood there, totally surprised.
"Dad?" Rishaan was surprised. "What a surprise!" He said and hugged him.
"We just met in the office." Rajeev chuckled. "Now let me in." He said with a little laugh and Rishaan moved aside. "Hey, don't close the door. Your mom and Adi are also coming." Rishaan's face fell. He didn't want his mother to ruin everything, again. He was happy with his new family then why?
Rishaan left the door open and went to the couch. He sat beside his father. Amaya went to the kitchen and brought three glasses of water in a tray. She gave one to Rajeev and put the tray on the table. Just then, Adi with Amrita entered the house. They both looked so happy. Rishaan looked up at Adi and smiled. But when his eyes met with his mother's, he looked away. That smiling face of Amrita turned into a sad one. Amaya noticed everything but didn't say anything.
"How are you Rishaan?" Amrita asked, looking at him with a hope.
Rishaan slipped out his phone from his pocket and mumbled, "Good." He didn't even look up at her. His every action made her feel so guilty.
"So are you coming tomorrow night, bhabhi?" Adi asked, changing the topic.
"Where?" Amaya had no clue what he was talking about.
"What? Shaan, didn't you inform her?" Adi asked, looking at Rishaan who was scrolling through some notifications in his phone.
"Ah! I must have forgotten." Rishaan answered simply, looking up at Adi.
"Useless!" Adi commented on him. "So bhabhi, just like every year, we have thrown a New Year party tomorrow night. And you're coming for sure." Adi said, as if ordering her.
"But-"
"It's a simple party, Amaya." Rajeev said. Now she had no options to deny. "Amrita will be there to accompany you." He added.
"And the theme of party is Red or Black. Whatever you like." Adi said, smiling at her.
"But what about the kids?" Amaya asked and everyone sat there, not saying anything. It was really a serious question. Rishaan glanced up at everyone and smirked. He again fixed his eyes on the mobile screen, not caring about the party thing.
"How about dropping them to Rekha aunty's house?" Adi suggested, breaking the silence.
"Yes. That's a good idea." Amrita agreed to him. "And you can also invite... what's her name.. " She paused and thought. "Riddhi. Oh yes, Invite Riddhi too." She said, smiling.
"Ma!" Adi said, abruptly and everyone looked at him.
"What?" Amrita asked him with a question mark written on her face.
"No. I meant Riddhima." Adi said with a chuckle.
Rishaan chuckled and a soft sound of laugh escaped from his mouth. Amaya also chuckled, biting her lower lip.
"You're such an idiot!" Amrita shook her head at him. Adi just shrugged with the same chuckle.
They all sat there, chit chatting about about the party, Rishaan's health, about Disha and Ansh and in between these some business talks happened too.

"So what are you gonna wear, Di?" Riddhima asked.
"Black saree maybe." Amaya replied her, thinking if she had one or not.
"No way!" Riddhima widened her eyes at her. "Who wears a saree on New Year party!?" She said, making a face at her.
"Then what?" Amaya asked her.
"Obviously, a western dress." Riddhima said, smiling.
"You know that I don't wear some such dresses." Amaya didn't like her idea.
"Okay, let's go for shopping and buy an appropriate dress for you." Riddhima suggested.
Amaya tried so many dresses that Riddhima suggested her to try but she didn't like any of them. She didn't like how those dresses revealed more than covering. In her life of thirty one years she had attended only two parties. First, her freshers' party and second, when Himansh took her to some party after their marriage. She always felt like she was not made for parties. It was not her thing, to dance and drink.
It took four hours to them to select an appropriate dress for Amaya. The dress she selected was a simple black faille ball gown. She liked how it covered all her body parts. Yes, it was sleeveless but she had no problem with it.
×××××××××××××××
Amaya had already dropped Ansh and Disha to Rekha's house when she went to pick Riddhima up for shopping.
Riddhima helped her to wear the dress and then did her hair and applied minimal makeup too. Amaya sat on her wooden dressingtable stool and looked into the mirror. In the mirror she saw a completely changed version of herself. If someone who only met her once would not be able to recognize her. She was not too tall nor short, not too fair neither too tan, her hair were not too long nor too short, neither flat straight nor wavy. She was looking beautiful and so much younger.
"Riddhima, don't tell me I'm looking like a witch right now." Amaya asked, still looking herself in the mirror.
Riddhima chuckled from behind and said, "Di, you are looking so hot."
Amaya laughed a bit at her comment and then stood up, "You also have to get ready. Don't waste your time."
Riddhima didn't take much time in getting ready. She wore a red dress and also left her hair open. They both walked out of the room. Rishaan was already waiting for them in living room. He stood up from the sofa as soon as his eyes landed on them. He had never seen Amaya in such a dress before. Though it was a simple dress, she looked so beautiful. She always wore those full sleeved kurtis and dresses. And today her soft, ivory shoulders and arms were exposed. She looked taller in that dress.
Rishaan remembered those New Year parties he had attended with Diya. She always loved to wear western dresses. And she always looked beautiful and sexy in them. He remembered how he just couldn't stop looking at her throughout the party or keep his hands to himself. She had this habit of holding his hand or loop her arm in his arm whenever they walked together. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realize when they reached down. He smiled at them, shutting down all the boxes of his beautiful memories with Diya. Amaya smiled back at him. She found nothing new in his outfit. He was wearing his signature black suit and black shoes. His hair was styled in a perfect quiff.
"Let's go?" Rishaan asked and both the ladies nodded their heads at him, agreeing.
As a true gentleman, Rishaan opened the door of backseat for Riddhima. She smiled at him and sat in. He then opened the door for Amaya and she took her seat too. He took driver's seat and started the engine.
"Who else will be there in the party?" Amaya asked, breaking the silence in the car. She seemed nervous.
"All the employees, maybe their wives, business partners, dad's friends, some top businessmen of Indore etc." Rishaan replied simply, his eyes fixed on the road.
"Oh God!" It made her more nervous. "And I know none of them." Amaya mumbled and looked down.
Rishaan chuckled and said, "You know me. You know Adi, Riddhima, Dad and... Mom. That's enough for you."
Amaya looked up at him and smiled a little. She didn't ask more questions and sat there, silently.
It took them half an hour to reach at their destination. A giant gate opened and the car entered inside. As they entered inside, Amaya could see a bungalow decorated with lights. The music was so loud that she could hear it in the car. It made her more nervous. Rich people! She frowned. She could see some cameramen and reporters too. She gulped down really hard. She started getting more nervous and her hands became clammy.
Rishaan stopped the car and stepped out of it. He went to other side of the car and opened the door for Amaya. Amaya breathed out heavily and stepped out. He then opened the door for Riddhima. He handed the keys to a man and left it on him to park the car. The cameras started flashing which made them blind for a moment. Rishaan didn't want to stop there and click pictures with Amaya so he slightly pushed them away, making their way to the entrance.
"Sir, one photo."
"Sir, here."
Amaya could hear them shouting for pictures.
Rishaan spotted Adi standing near the main entrance. Adi waved at him from far and ran to him.
"Hey handsome!" Adi greeted Rishaan in his sexy voice.
"Hey stupid!" Rishaan chuckled as he said.
"Whatever!" Adi made a face at him and ignored him. "Hey beautiful ladies." He wished them, with his ear to ear smile.
"Hey!" It came out in unison.
"You're looking so different, bhabhi!" Adi complimented. In reply Amaya only said "thank you" with a smile. "You're looking good... also." He added, looking at Riddhima. Riddhima just smiled at him, not to forget with a blush.
"If you're done with your buttering then should we go inside?" Rishaan asked, clearing his throat and then glaring at Adi.
They went inside, not wasting more time. When they went in all eyes were on them. Specially, on Rishaan and Amaya. Everyone was looking at them and they knew why. Each and every girl or woman present there was dressed in short dress. Rishaan slowly came to Amaya's side and whispered, "Just stick with me." With that he put his hand around her waist and walked ahead.
Amaya was too confused to think what was happening. What does he mean by sticking with him? She questioned herself.
Suddenly a couple came to them and the man said, "Hey Rishaan, was just waiting for your arrival."
"Hey Mr Arora." Rishaan smiled at him.
"By the way who's this beautiful lady?" He asked to Rishaan but his eyes were on Amaya.
"Oh ya, she's my wife, Amaya." Rishaan said, smiling.
It sounded bitter! Amaya thought and forced her lips to smile at the man in front of her.
They talked with them and then went in and met a lot of people who she guessed their business partners or friend and some employees. They all seemed so high profile.
"Rishaan!" Rajeev came to them. "Did you meet Mr Rai?" He asked and Rishaan shook his head at him, replying him in negative. "What man! Go then. He is-"
"Okay, dad." Rishaan said a little tiredly.
Rishaan took his hand back from Amaya's waist and they parted their ways. Stick with me! Her inner mocked at him with a frown. He went to meet Mr Rai while she stood there, clueless, looking around to find Riddhima.
Where is she? And even Adi! Where did they disappear? Amaya thought, searching for them.
"Amaya?" Rajeev's voice pulled her back. "Amrita is there," he said, pointing at one corner where Amrita was sitting with her friends. "If you need anything, go to her." He said, smiling and left.
Amaya felt a little relieved. She had no other option than going to Amrita. She pulled her dress little up and started walking into Amrita's direction. She looked behind for a moment to check if Riddhima was there but she wasn't. She turned around, bumping into someone. She looked up and saw a girl, standing in front of her, wearing a red short dress.
"Ah! I'm sorry." Amaya apologized, knowing it was her mistake.
"Oh! That's okay." She shook her head with a smile. "By the way, I am Navya." She extended her hand for a shake.
"Amaya." Amaya replied, shaking her hand with her.
"If I'm not wrong, you're Rishaan's wife, right?" She asked, narrowing her eyes a little.
"Yeah!" Amaya replied feeling a little awkward.
"I'm sorry but I read your name in the current business magazine as Rishaan's wife. I had never seen you before so.. " She shrugged her shoulders.
"It's okay." Amaya smiled at her.
"It was hard to believe because we have never seen him with any girl or woman and suddenly he's married." Navya said.
Amaya passed a small smile at her, not knowing what to reply.
"Umm Ma (Mom) is there and she must be waiting for me so.. " Amaya trailed off.
"Oh, sure." Navya smiled at her.
"Nice to meet you." Amaya said before leaving.
"Nice to meet you too." Navya smiled and Amaya left to go to Amrita.
Amaya walked to where Amrita was sitting with her friends.
"Ma, I was-"
"Arey, Amaya!" Amrita stood up from the couch. "Oh, meet my daughter in law, Amaya." She introduced Amaya to all her friends.
Amaya sat with them and talked. They all were around Amrita's age and Amaya felt so bored there. She kept nodding her head and smiling at them every now and then just to show them she was interested in their talks. She looked around to look for Rishaan or Riddhima or Adi. She really needed any of them to make her mood a little better.
"Ma?" Amaya interrupted in their talk. Amrita looked at her with her raised eyebrows, asking her what. "Where's Adi and Rishaan?" She asked her.
"Oh! They must be on the terrace, real party is there." Amrita replied with a smile.
"If you don't mind, can I go there?" Amaya asked and Amrita passed an ear to ear smile at her before nodding her head.
Amaya stood up, smiled at all the women sitting around her, excused herself and started walking towards the stairs. She pulled her dress little up and started climbing the stairs slowly. She stood stunned at the doorway of the terrace. The music was so loud and she could hear people screaming with joy and could feel their feet disturbing the ground around her. Their bodies moved together as they danced. She looked around and found some people sitting near the bar counter and drinking. Some people were talking gathering in groups.
Where's Rishaan? Even Adi and Riddhima, where are they all? Amaya looked around, tapping her feet impatiently.
Amaya stepped in, looking around. She finally spotted Rishaan talking with someone. She thought to go to him as she was so bored but then the thought of she disturbing him hit her mind and she decided to sit alone in some corner.
Rishaan's eyes fell on Amaya. What is she doing near the dance floor? Damn! Don't tell me she's gonna dance there! He thought.
"Rishaan?"
"Rishaan?" Sameer - his PA or you can say his friend clicked his fingers in front of his face.
"Oh yeah?" Rishaan looked at him.
"What were you looking there?" Sameer asked.
"Oh there... " Rishaan stopped and again looked back there. Amaya wasn't there anymore. "Nothing. There was nothing." He changed his gaze and looked back at Sameer but his mind was still there, thinking about her and where she disappeared.
On other hand Amaya was sitting alone and still finding Riddhima and Adi. She needed Adi at that time to entertain her and refresh her mood. She looked at Rishaan and found him standing with the same guy. But his eyes were on the dance floor. What is he looking there? She thought and looked there where he was looking. There were only girls dancing on the floor. So the man is checking out girls! She raised her eyebrows at the sight.
"We will talk about this tomorrow, Sam." Rishaan said, trying to escape.
"Oh yeah! Enjoy the new year eve bro." Sameer said with a smile which Rishaan returned back.
Rishaan turned around to find Amaya. Where is she? She was here just some minutes ago. He thought, looking around. He again looked on the dance floor. She's not one of those who dances with random people. He thought and decided to find her somewhere else.
"Hey, Amaya right?" Mr Arora appeared out of nowhere.
"Yeah!" Amaya passed an awkward smile at him.
"Finding your husband?" He shouted because of the loud music.
Amaya nodded her head with the same smile and tried to escape.
"I think I should-" He cut her off.
"You look beautiful." He complimented her with a big smile.
"Thanks!" Amaya didn't like his smile.
"By the way, what you do-"
"Hey Mr Arora!" Someone tapped on his shoulder from behind.
He turned around, only to find Rishaan standing behind him, smiling.
"Hey!" Mr Arora sounded a little unhappy by Rishaan's presence.
"If you don't mind, can I steal my wife for a little while?" Rishaan asked him loudly with a hidden smirk in his voice.
"Oh yeah, you surely can." Mr Arora said with an embarrassed smile and walked in other direction.
Amaya looked at his face. What's with all these 'my wife' thing? She asked herself.
"Did he say or do something with you?" Rishaan asked, coming a little closer to Amaya so she could hear him clearly. He seemed worried, a little you know.
Amaya shook her head to left side to right, replying him in negative. But she was confused by his question.
"Are you bored?" Rishaan asked but Amaya couldn't hear as there was so noise.
"What?" Amaya asked him back.
Rishaan moved his face closer to her and his cheek brushed with her.
"Are you bored here?" Rishaan asked in her ear, his hot breath fanning on her neck. Her breath caught in her throat at that moment. She exhaled heavily when he moved back.
Amaya looked up at him and found him looking at her, wanting an answer.
"Not actually!" Amaya replied after some seconds. A lie!
"Oh! But I am." Rishaan said. "Let's go back to home, if you don't have any problem." He added, looking at her.
That's what I wanted man! Amaya's inner smiled so widely at him.
"Yeah! Let's go." Amaya agreed to him.
They both went downstairs. Rishaan informed Rajeev before leaving and they both stepped out. And again the same scene. Some camera men and reporters surrounded them.
"Sir, one photo."
"Ma'am, please!"
"Sir, was it an arranged marriage or love marriage "
"Sir, one photo. Please!"
Rishaan didn't stop and kept walking, pushing them slightly. He never liked media because all they want is to know about your personal life. What fun they get by poking their noses in someone's personal life?
"Ma'am, where and when did you meet him for the first time?"
"Ma'am, we heard that it was also your second marriage. Is that true?"
"Ma'am, you are... "
Rishaan stopped when he realized Amaya was trapped between them. He turned around, marched back to her, pushed some camera men and reporters away, held her hand tightly in his and started walking away. He dragged her out of there and stopped once they reached at their car. He didn't say anything, left her hand and opened the door of the car for her. She didn't say anything and sat in. He closed the door, took driver's seat and started the engine.
"Shit!" Amaya spoke suddenly. "Reverse the car." She said out of worry.
"What? Why? What happened suddenly?" Rishaan asked, making such a confused face and slowing down the car.
"Riddhima!" Amaya looked at him. "She's still there." She added.
"So what?" Rishaan sighed and asked simply, concentrating on the road.
"What what? She is alone-"
"No." Rishaan cut her off. "Adi is with her. Don't worry." He said.
"But-"
"Let them celebrate New Year. They are not boring like us." Rishaan said and she didn't say anything back this time.
Amaya sat silently in the car, hugging her bare arms and looking outside. She didn't tell him to turn off the AC just because she was feeling cold.
After some moments when Rishaan glanced at Amaya, he found her rubbing her arms and looking outside. He didn't say anything and turned off the AC. She looked at him when she realized he had turned off the AC. She smiled a little and then looked straight, resting her head back on the seat.
"Wait! What?" Amaya sat straight abruptly as she asked. "We were supposed to take a right turn!" She said.
"No!" Rishaan said with his eyes focused on the road.
"But we live-"
"Don't you want to celebrate New Year?" Rishaan asked, glancing at her.
"Where are you taking me?" Amaya was scared, really.
Rishaan chuckled at her question. "Wait and watch!" He replied with a little smirk and it made her more scared. After like twenty minutes he stopped his car in front of an apartment and she was all surprised.
"What are we doing here?" Amaya asked, stepping out of the car. She was so confused.
"To complete ourselves." Rishaan said, locking the car. Amaya looked at him with confusion but smiled anyway. "We are nothing without our kids. So let's celebrate our New Year with them." He said and she smiled more widely. "I'm waiting here, you go in." He said, leaning back to the car.
"Why? Meet Rekha Ma, she'll like it." Amaya insisted. Rishaan shook his head, denying her idea. "Please!" She tried to make a puppy face in which she failed so badly.
Rishaan chuckled at her behavior and then smiled. "Fine!" He threw his hands in the air, surrendering himself. "But yeah, don't make this type of face again. I don't want to get nightmares." He teased and she widened her eyes at him, not believing.
"Gosh!" Amaya was embarrassed.
They walked towards the main door and Amaya rang the doorbell while Rishaan stood behind her. After like a minute, Rekha opened the door. She was surprised to find them there. They were supposed to pick up Ansh and Disha the next morning.
"Amaya? Rishaan ji?" It came out like a question. "Is everything okay?" Rekha asked, feeling a bit worried.
"Yes. We are fine." Amaya said with a smile.
"Oh!" Rekha sighed in relief. "Come in." She moved aside to let them in.
Rishaan looked around in the house. It looked so simple. He guessed how they liked things to keep simple. He looked around and found some pictures of Ansh on the walls.
"Are they sleeping?" Amaya asked.
"Yes. I mean obviously! It's... " Rekha looked up at the clock and continued, "It's 11:15 pm!"
"Where are they?" Rishaan asked and Rekha pointed the room which was in the corner.
Rishaan walked to the room and Amaya followed him. He opened the door slowly and found Ansh and Disha sleeping peacefully on the bed. He smiled at them. Happiness is in every moment of your life. Just learn to find them and capture them in your heart. He remembered Adi's words. He took out his mobile phone from his pocket, opened the camera and clicked some pictures of them. He really wanted some reasons to smile and he got one. Amaya watched him and smiled. He walked towards the bed and stood there. If it was possible he would surely sit there and stare them for whole night. He bent down and picked Ansh up in his arms. Amaya also went to the bed and gently picked Disha up in her arms. They walked out of the room. Rekha looked at them. They make a perfect family! She thought and smiled. Rishaan walked out first, without saying anything while Amaya mouthed "Bye" to Rekha, in an attempt to not wake Disha up.
Rishaan opened the door for Amaya and she settled on the backseat. Once she sat in, Rishaan bent down to give Ansh to her. Rishaan's rough palms brushed against her bare arms as he gave Ansh in her arms. They both totally ignored the thing that just happened. He took driver's seat and started the car.
After like half an hour they reached home. Rishaan opened the door and slightly took Ansh from Amaya's hands. Amaya also stepped out with Disha sleeping in her arms. Rishaan locked the car and they went in.
"Good night?" It came out like a question from Amaya's mouth.
"Not now." Rishaan said smiling.
Rishaan walked upstairs and Amaya followed him cluelessly. He opened the door of the terrace, making no voice. He walked ahead and Amaya followed him, totally confused. He sat on the tiled floor of terrace without caring about his suit.
"Sit." Rishaan said in low voice.
Amaya did what she was told. She sat beside him, keeping some space between them. He looked at his wrist watch and smiled.
"Ten!"
"Nine!"
"Eight!"
"Seven!"
Amaya smiled, knowing what he was doing.
"Six!"
"Five!" Amaya too joined him.
"Four!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" They both shouted. Ansh and Disha who were sleeping in their laps woke up abruptly, horrified. They were startled.
"Happy New Year Ansh." Rishaan pulled him more closer in his embrace. "Happy New Year Dishu." He said, looking at her.
"Happy New Year Dishu." Amaya also wished her. "Happy New Year Anshu." She pulled his cheek as she said.
Disha wished them back over excitedly but Ansh didn't. He was staring up in the sky. He seemed so lost. He was watching fireworks bursting above, searing their brilliant light and vivacious colour. Each one drawing a different pattern into the sky, something unique and breathtaking, never to be repeated exactly. But to Ansh, they seemed like demons. The fiery sparks filled him with fear. Everything that had happened one and a half months ago started repeating on his mind. He was scared. He was shivering. Rishaan could feel his body trembling in his lap.
Rishaan turned Ansh around in his lap. "Ansh!" He took his name and made him look up at him. "You're brave, my boy." Rishaan patted his cheeks lightly. "What's to fear about when you have me and your mamma with you?" Amaya smiled at what Rishaan said. "Fear is not real; it is a choice. It is a product of thoughts you create. Just run to your fear, it'll run away from you." Ansh smiled a bit at what Rishaan said. "Okay, make a resolution. You will burn more firecrackers next year and burn other's house this time." Rishaan joked, in an attempt to make Ansh laugh or smile.
Ansh giggled at what Rishaan said. Amaya also chuckled.
"Happy New Year." Ansh finally wished Rishaan, still sitting on his lap and smiling so widely.
"Yeah! That's like my boy." Rishaan pinched the tip of his little nose.
"Happy New Year Mamma and Disha." He said, getting up from his lap.
Ansh and Disha stood up and ran towards the railing to watch fireworks bursting through the dark night while Rishaan and Amaya sat there watching them. Rishaan again took out his mobile phone and captured some pictures of Ansh and Disha. Amaya smiled at him as he took pictures.
"Any new year resolution?" Amaya asked and Rishaan stopped. He locked his phone and put it beside him. He smiled, still looking into Ansh and Disha's direction and replied, nodding his head, "Yes."
"Oh! And what's that?" Amaya asked.
"To become more like a human. To become a good father. To love them more. To-"
"To love your own self first. To give respect to everyone and their views. To forgive others and their mistakes. To give a new chance to your life. To smile little more often. Add these too." Amaya said, cutting him off. "You have 12 new chapters and 365 new chances." She added with a smile.
Rishaan stared at Amaya for some moments. She looked so beautiful, with the top row of her teeth shining under the moonlight. She looked more beautiful then. He looked down with a little smile.
"I will...try." Rishaan said, looking up at Amaya with the same smile.

"Turn the page of your book called life because there's so much more to the book than the page you're stuck on."
××××××××××××××××××
Hey all. How was the chapter? It was the longest one (5379 words) till this date.
Question of the day : Do you believe in "love at first sight"? If yes, then I respect your opinion and if no, then come to me baby.
My Answer : So, I used to believe in "love at first sight" when I was a kid.(I'm still a kid lol!) But now I know it's just sexual attraction. I mean how can someone fall profoundly in love after one quick glance? Like how can such a glance make us believe that we want to spend the rest of our fuckin' life in the arms of a stranger who we have just seen for the first time? So yeah, I don't believe in "love at first sight".
I hope you liked the chapter. If yes, then do votes and comments freely.
Thank you.
