CHAPTER FOUR

CHAPTER FOUR - ALL PARTIES SATISFIED

Ron Weasley turned out to be a difficult person to find when you wanted to do so. Claudia Parkinson was not someone who chased other people around. Yet here she was walking in large loops of the ministry building after a specific clerk of which she needed to talk to. Though even with her best efforts, she found it nearly impossible to locate him down. She knew he was in the building as she had already asked the other people upon the complaints department if he was in that day. They had confirmed yet she could not find him.

Claudia was not one to give up, her constant need to be correct and have what she wanted forced her to continue her mission in an attempt to find him, no matter how much it wore her out chasing him round and around. Tracking her way past the department of mysteries corridor once again she felt a hand grab onto her arm and pull her in another direction. For most people this would frighten them, making them panic as to who this other person was. But Claudia knew that if this person made a negative motion against her that they would very quickly come to regret doing so. She had after all excelled in offensive spells whilst at school.

"Heard you were looking for me." A voice of which she was sure she would become more familiar with finally announced when there was nobody else around them.

"Yeah, you're pretty difficult to get ahold of it would seem." Claudia grumbled back at him going to cross her arms to prove to him her displeasure.

"Sorry 'bout that princess. Can't leave little Claudia waiting." Ron's sarcastic tone bit back and Claudia liked the side of him she was seeing, it was something she could get on with easily. "What was it you wanted?" He tagged on.

"I came to you about your little proposal." Claudia watched as his eyes widen and he seemed to perk up at her words.

"Well?"

"I'll do it. Only if you agree to come to a few things I have coming up as well."

"Of course yeah no problems. Just name it and I'll be there." It was almost like whiplash how fast Ron had changed from the sarcastic attitude to the excited one he was currently sporting.

"Great I'll send you the information and we'll organise outfits."

"Outfits?"

"I'm not turning up looking priceless on your arm with you looking like you just pulled something off the floor to wear." Claudia turned on her feet leaving him behind. Making her way back to her office, not allowing him to respond further.

But Ron wouldn't care that she had gone, nor her words about his appearance. His problems seemed to have started to solve themselves and he hoped that this would be the end of a long list of setbacks of which had occurred. He would be immediately telling his best friend of the news that evening. Too excited to hold it in.

It would be only a few hours later that afternoon that a pristine envelope appeared upon his work desk. One of which clearly was intended for himself. If the cursive writing on the front was anything to go by. Ron gingerly picked it up, unsure whether he had ever held stationary so expensive in his hands before. Knowing that it was significantly fancier than even the wedding invites he had been sent in the past. And therefore, he knew he should not rip into the letter as if it was just common place, a little bit scared if he was being honest of what was awaiting him on the other side.

'Mr R.B.Weasley,
You have been invited to the union of

Astoria Greengrass
and
Draco Malfoy

As an esteemed guest of the wedding party. Please find information pertaining the attitire for the event and the schedule. The bride and groom await to see you soon.'

He was unsure as to how he had done it, but Ron had ended up invited to the high society wedding of the year. Everyone who was anyone knew of the union between the Malfoy family and the Greengrass family. And he had just by agreeing to one simple clause, winded up with front row seats. Oh how his brother Percy would react upon hearing this news. He could quite possible faint.

Ron himself could quite possibly faint as he came to realise that he would be attending the wedding of his school arch nemesis.

But he knew he would attend for Claudia. He wanted to attend because she had asked him too. Even if it was only platonic. Only pretend.
