Chapter 6
Zarah
"If we had known that a couple of margaritas are the key to loosening you up, hell we would have done this a long time ago," Lizzie yelled over the music.
I laughed. I'm not a big drinker. I can already feel myself getting a little woozy.
For heaven's sake Zarah, nobody gets sick after a couple of margaritas," Andy snickered.
"I'm not sick. And I had a couple of margaritas 2 drinks ago," I said. "This," I raised the cocktail in my hand, "is a cocktail," I giggled. "Let's dance girlies!"
I started moving my hips and danced to the music. We were all gathered in a circle dancing around each other. Swaying our hips against each other.
I haven't had this much fun... Scratch that. I've never had this much fun.
I turned my head and I almost stumbled. My eyes collided with the one person, I've been wanting to see.
Jason...
Still, I didn't expect to see him here. I've been thinking of ways to see him again. I mean, you can't seduce the guy without seeing him.
He was looking at me intently. Watching me...
I smirked.
Let the games begin...
Jason
Fuck.
The way she was swaying those hips, made me rock hard.
Shit.
"Yo, bro! What the hell is up with you? Who the hell are you looking at?" Luke asked.
The waitress came by, and asked us if we wanted another round of drinks. Both Luke and Ethan said yes and I just shook my head.
"She's here," I found myself saying.
"Holy shit! You mean your woman?"
I was about to say she wasn't my woman but fuck. I want her. I'm not going to deny that and the way she's dancing with her friends right now. Fuck me, she looks so hot.
"Jason?"
I want her.
Fuck. What the hell...
"Jason?"
I blinked and turned back towards my brothers. They were both looking at me with question in there eyes.
I turned back to where Zarah is and I see a couple of guys approaching them.
Oh fuck no.
"Jason, are you okay? What's the matter?"
"Nothing. Look, I'll catch up with you guys later," I said. I got up on my feet and started walking towards Zarah and her friends. I didn't wait for my brothers' reply.
But Ethan caught my arm.
"Are you going to your woman?"
"I'll call you guys later. Don't worry everything's fine."
"But how about our drinks..."
"Let him go," Luke said.
I turned towards him.
"Don't worry about it. I've got this. You get the next one," he said.
I nodded. "Thanks."
Zarah's eyes stayed on me as she watched me approach them. The guy beside her was trying to dance with her, but her eyes were locked on me.
I cleared my throat and glared at the guy.
He cowered and moved away and turned his attention to the woman standing next to Zarah.
"Hi, angel," I whispered in her ear. I heard her breath hitch.
I smirked.
"Hi," she said.
"Let's dance, angel," I said and pulled her to me and I started swaying our hips to the music.
She was pressed against me and there is no doubt that she can feel my erection against her.
She stopped moving and grabbed my arm for support.
She said something I didn't quite understand. The music was to loud.
"What? I can't hear you, angel?" I said.
"I think, what she said was, she's going to be sick," the woman beside her said.
My eyes widen and before I can ask Zarah if that's what she meant, she threw up all over my shirt.
Shit.
Her friends gathered around her.
"Oh my gosh, Zarah, are you okay?"
"Here, let me help her to the ladies room," her friend started to say.
"It's fine. I've got her. I'm taking her home," I said
"I don't think that's a good idea, I don't know you and she doesn't know you..."
I chuckled. "She knows me. Her brother is my best friend and she's..."
Hell what is she? She's my...
"It's okay Lizzie. I know him," Zarah said and giggled.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. He's a friend," she said.
Her friend, Lizzie looked at me and nodded. "Okay. Thanks."
"Bye, girls. I' catch up with you later," Zarah slurred to her friends.
I saw Lizzie whisper to her other friends.
I held Zarah against me and led her out of the club.
As usual, my driver, David is there, already waiting.
When he saw us approaching, he moved to open the door for us.
I helped Zarah into the car, and I climbed in behind her.
"You smell bad," Zarah said.
I chuckled. "Angel, you threw up all over me," I reminded her.
She giggled. "Oh, that's right. I did," she slurred.
I laughed. "How many have you had to drink?"
"A couple of margaritas, and then some," she said and giggled.
"You got sick on a couple of margaritas?" I asked in astonishment.
She glared at me. "Don't make fun of me!"
"Angel..."
"I'm not a big drinker okay?" She grumbled.
Shit. Now that I think about it. If I hadn't showed up, what the hell would have happened to her.
The guy... Fuck. I'm not even going to think about that.
I turned to see, Zarah passed out beside me.
"My place, David, please," I said.
"Sir."
Shit. There's no way in hell I'm leaving her at her place in this condition.
I was beyond angry.
What in the hell was she thinking drinking more than can handle?
Didn't she have any sense of reason?
Fuck. What is the matter with you, Henderson? You're not her keeper!
Zarah moaned.
Fuck.
She was sick and drunk.
"It's okay, angel. We're almost home," I said and pulled her tighter against me and kissed the top of her head.
The way she clutched her belly and the way she went with me willingly, told me everything I needed to know.
She needed me.
After Ellie married Marco, she now leaves alone in her apartment.
"Jason... Don't leave me," she grumbled.
Something inside me twisted.
"I won't, sweetheart. I'm here angel," I whispered back.
She snuggled closer against me.
She felt so soft. So feminine. So good in my arms. Knowing that she needed me and trusted me... Fuck.
She only needs and trusts you know because she doesn't remember what you did to her! I told myself.
Hell. She's going to go back to hating you in the morning.
I know deep down, no matter how many times Zarah acts like she has forgotten about that night and that she has moved on, I know that it's a lie. I know that she still resents me. Hated me for what I did and said to her. And I can't blame her. I deserve her anger and resentment. And probably more. But now, having her back in my arms, I no logger want to stay away from her. I don't want to fight what's between us anymore. Whatever it is, it's stronger than ever.
I look down at Zarah.
"You foolish woman!" I muttered.
"Sorry..." She mumbled.
I didn't think she would hear me.
I smiled. "You will be in the morning. Don't ever do that again, angel. Don't ever drink more than you can handle. Something could have happened to you.
"Hhhmm," was all she said.
I snickered.
She snuggled closer to me. She feels so good in my arms. Just like she did that night... The night I broke her heart.
"I'm sorry, angel. So damn sorry," I whispered.
