Winter 3 - I Will Never Leave You

A few days have passed since the day of their meeting and as Jack promised, he visited Elsa everyday. They would play in the room which Elsa would cover with snow abd ice; building snowmen, having snowball fights, and ice skate.

Sometimes when they weren't in the mood to do anything, they would just lay down on Elsa's bed and talk about many things.

"Elsa?" Jack called, tapping on Elsa's window but Elsa did not answer. She wasn't anywhere in the room. Jack opened the unlocked window and slowly went inside.

"Elsa? Are you in here?" he asked while his eyes roamed around the room.

Then Jack heard a sobbing of a girl coming from the other side of the bed. He slowly walked to where he heard the sobbing and there he saw Elsa, hugging her knees while crying.

"Elsa!" Jack immediately ran to Elsa after seeing her state "Elsa, are you okay? What happened? Why are you crying?" Jack asked continuosly.

"J-Jack?" Elsa looked up and saw Jack right in front of her, worry visible in his face. She didn't say a word, instead, she hugged Jack and cried on his chest which surprised Jack.

At first, Jack didn't know what to do until he decided to just comfort Elsa "It's okay. It's okay. Just cry it all out, Elsa." he whispered, kissing her temple and rubbing her back.

After an hour, Elsa had not realized that she fell asleep while crying in Jack's arms. She woke up in her bed but there was no sign of Jack anywhere.

"Jack? Jack?" Elsa called out but there was no answer. Elsa walked out of her bed towards her window and opened it, letting in the cold wind from the winter season.

"Jack!" Elsa hollered from her window, hoping that wherever Jack may be, he could hear her. But after a few minutes of shouting and calling, Jack still hasn't come.

Elsa looked down in disappointment. She thought that Jack would never leave her. That he would always be beside her. But how come he wasn't there?

"Perhaps he's gotten bored of me." Elsa told herself then heaved out a sigh.

"Who's gotten bored of you?"

Elsa lifted her head up and there she saw Jack, his face a few inches away from her which surprised her more. Elsa felt her cheeks burn a little.

"J-Jack." was all Elsa could say.

"Missed me, snowflake?" Jack grinned.

"Where were you? I actually thought you left me." Elsa asked then pouted.

Jack giggled "Sorry, snowflake. I just had some business to take care of. But now I'm here. Can I come in?"

"Sure." Elsa moved aside as Jack entered the room. Once Jack was inside, Elsa closed the door and faced Jack "So what do you wanna do today?"

"Hmm... I don't know. How 'bout you? You in the mood to do anything today?" Jack asked her.

"Not really. How 'bout we just talk for a while?"

"Okay."

Elsa sat down on her bed while Jack sat at the side of the bed "So, uhm, Elsa, can I ask you something?" Jack started.

"Sure. What is it?"

"Well... when I got here about an hour ago, I guess, you were crying. Mind if I ask what happened?"

Elsa nodded "Thought youbwere going to ask that." she said "Well, you know very well why I was crying earlier, or why I cry everyday, right?"

Jack nodded, of course, he knew "Was Anna asking you to play again?" Elsa raised a brow while and gave a look, indicating the obvious "Right. Of course."

"I just hate it. I hate it so much. I hate it when I just fall down and cry everytime I hear Anna asking me to play or to build a snowman. Am I really that weak to do that?" Elsa sounded like she was about to cry now.

"Elsa, that's something I don't know because that's you. All your life you surrender to your sister everytime she says that particular line, so I guess that's why you always cry because you know that you're unallowed to play with her." Jack explained, placing his bent, right leg on the bed and facing Elsa.

"I guess." was all she could say then she let out a sigh.

"Well, what about you? Where'd you go while I was asleep?" Elsa asked him.

"Oh, uhm, just a nearby kingdom, is all. I just decided it was time I brought a snowday to some nearby places here." Jack answered with a slight shrug.

"Oh, okay." Elsa nodded.

They talked and talked about different things and Jack also told jokes that would make Elsa laugh or giggle which Jack enjoyed seeing very much. He always loved seeing her happy, and with just the sight of her in joy makes him happy as well.

More and more years have passed and as Elsa grew and grew, so did her powers. Elsa's powers started growing stronger until there came a dat when she could barely conceal it anymore.

Elsa stood frozen in her spot, holding her hand and panting nervously as she stared at a corner of her room which had accidentally covered in frost and ice.

"I-I don't understand." Elsa murmured as she looked down on her glove-covered hands.

"Elsa! Elsa, what's wrong?" The king asked as he and the queen rushed inside her room.

"Elsa, dear. Are you alright? We heard you scream." The queen asked in worry.

Both the king and queen's eyes were locked in tje frozen corner of Elsa's room and they immediately knew the reason.

"Mama, Papa. I'm scared." Elsa's voice shook as she faced her parents "It's getting stronger!"

"Getting upset only makes it worse. Calm down." the King told her, he reached out for Elsa but she immediately stepped back, avoiding his father's touch.

"No! Don't touch me!" she hollered "Please. I don't want to hurt you." she begged.

The queen exhaled, feeling pity on her child. But there was nothing else they could do. The queen somehow felt guilty for she knows that it's her fault why Elsa was enduring this pain. This pain of having to isolate yourself from everyone. Even from her own loved ones.

Almost an hour had passed after the king and queen left Elsa's room. Elsa just sat in her freezing corner, hugging her knees and crying, not having any idea on what she can do. She fears that if she makes another wrong move, she might freeze something again.

As Elsa weeped in her spot, entered Jack holding a snowball in his hand, eager to play with Elsa again.

"Elsa! You in the mood to play..." Jack's words were cut after seeing Elsa's state "Elsa!" Jack dropped his snowball and ran towards Elsa, kneeling down in front of her.

"Elsa, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Jack asked, holding Elsa's shoulders.

Elsa gave out a gasp before she immediately removed Jack's hands from her shoulders "No! Stay away, Jack!" she shouted and Jack looked at her with both worry and confusion.

"What? Elsa, what's going on?" Jack asked her.

"Don't you see, Jack?" Elsa cried "I can't do it anymore. I keep trying to conceal my powers but look at what I've done. I almost froze my room." she explained and then dugged her face in her knees.

Jack exhaled through his nose, looking at the frozen wall "Just go away, Jack. I don't want to hurt you by accident, too." she told him.

"No. I won't leave you, Elsa. I promised you that, didn't I? And no matter what happens, even if you hurt me by accident, it's okay. I'll still help you, Elsa. I'll never ever leave you." Jack assured her.

Elsa looked up at him, tears rolling down her face "Come on, snowflake, stop crying. It'll only get worse if you're upset. Smile." and Jack pinched his cheeks to show a huge smile which made Elsa giggle.

"There we go. Now, feeling better?"

"A little." Elsa answered, wiping her tears.

"If so then why don't we have a" - he made a snowball in his hand - "snowball fight!" Jack threw the snowball at Elsa and then he flew a few meters away from Elsa, laughing.

"Oh, Jack, you're going to get it." Elsa too made a snowball in her hands and she threw it at Jack who dodged it "No fair! You're flying!" Elsa whined.

"Catch me if you can then!" Jack chuckled.

Elsa made another snowball and threw it at Jack who still dodged it. Elsa continued making and throwing snowballs at Jack until finally she hit him.

Jack and Elsa continued playing, throwing snowballs at each other til their hearts' content until Elsa had completely forgotten about her fear.
