Chapter 3

Jungkook's pov~

We stood in the middle of the Jamsil Olympic Stadium as a crowd of 70,000+ people roared back at us. Our last song for the day Spring Day's beginning instrumentals started playing and the Armys went nuts. This was our Seoul concert before we went off to other countries as part of our ongoing world tour. We had already toured the U.S. and it had been a crazy experience.

We sang and danced our hearts out, the fanchants pumping our heartbeats up more than any energy drink ever could.

Man, I love this....

I loved performing for our fans. It was still very hard to believe that our seemingly unrealistic little dream was coming true. For the nth time I thanked my lucky stars, our fans and of course myself for getting here. Our hardwork and dedication had paid off.

After the song ended, Jimin hyung came to my side and held my hand. Our farewell routine had started. It was always hard saying goodbye to the fans.

I noticed in the pit below us some international fans holding up various posters and signs. They must have traveled from somewhere to attend the concert or maybe they lived in Korea.

Some of them were holding sign boards with my face on a seagull. I laughed out loud. Armys never failed to amuse me.

"What are you laughing at?", Jimin hyung asked from beside me.

I pointed them out for him. They screamed like crazy when they realised we were talking about them.

"Ha! Look Justin Seagull, you're famous now.", Jimin said, trying to hold back his laughter.

I gave him my best poker face.

"You're not doing so bad yourself, Christian Chim Chim."

That shut him up.

The screams grew louder as we split apart, thanking fans in each side of the stadium as they called out our names.

I will never get tired of any of this.

"Jungkook! Jungkook! Please look here.", someone screamed from the pit below.

I looked down to a bunch of girls holding "Marry me JK" boards, each girl holding one letter. I sent out a heart to them.

Two of them fainted.

I take that back, I could get tired of somethings...

Security carried them out as I looked on worriedly. I hoped they were okay.

After that, I did my fan service from a distance.

Our crew went in to disassemble the sound system as we left the stage at the end of the show, heading for the dressing room.

"Woooooh, another successful show. We're so on top of our game", J-hope hyung sang. We collected the water bottles kept for us at the entrance table.

"Yeah, except you fucked up your choreography that one time hyung.", Jimin said, appearing behind J-hope.

"What?! I didn't fuck up, I never fuck up.", Hoseok hyung exclaimed.

"But you did, you see...", Jimin went on to explain when and how he had messed up.

We all knew he was just pulling Hoseok's leg and poor Hobi hyung was taking the bait.

Suddenly I heard the tunes to a familiar song.
One of our crew members was whistling the beginning part of BlackPink's whistle.

Images of cute round cheeks and huge brown eyes flashed in my brain. The memory of the day in the elevator still fresh.

Not again. I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Stop whistling.", I snapped at the poor guy.

He got startled. He looked behind him then
pointed at himself.

"Me?"

"Yes hyung. I'm sorry but can you stop whistling, I have a headache.", I said much more politely.

"Yeah sure." He didn't look me in the eye, as he hurried away from me, no doubt thinking I had a screw loose.

"What's wrong with you, Kookie?" Jin appeared beside me, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Nothing, hyung. Just a mild headache.", I lied.

"Well, lets get home, shall we. I'm going to make some chicken soup."

"Aww, hyung. You don't have to..."

"Not for you, idiot. For me, I'm so damn hungry. It's a hard job being this good looking."

He patted my head as if consoling me as he walked away.

I scowled. At least two bowls of that chicken soup had my name written on them, come hell or high water.

~

Lisa Manoban was the most infuriating girl I had ever met. As I lay on my bed that night, sleep eluding me once again, my traitor brain couldn't help but think about that day.

I'd thought about her non-stop since the elevator incident and even more after I saw her performance at SBS Gayo Daejun. I told myself I was just curious about the rookie group in general when I searched up their profiles, immediately skipping to Lisa's page. Yeah, I wasn't fooling anyone.

But it wasn't how flawlessly her body moved when she danced or even her cute face that was on the forefront of my mind usually. For some reason I could still recall her sweet lavender and fresh water fragrance.

In short, I was a weirdo.

And it was irritating as hell. I wish I had never met her. Then randomly listening to their songs wouldn't immediately send me into a black mood.

It's just a matter of time, I'm young after all. Must be the stupid hormones...

I assured myself as I went to sleep.

Lisa's pov ~

"This is sooo damn good.", Jisoo unnie exclaimed, holding two fried chicken drumsticks in each hand.

"You say that everytime we eat here.", Jennie said quietly.

"Well, I can't help it. Somebody stop me before I stuff my mouth some more.", she said as she proceeded to stuff her mouth some more.

From previous experience we all knew not to take her request literally. Lest we end up with two black eyes. Jisoo was mad over chicken.

Usually, on every alternative weekend we ended up in this little corner restaurant not too far away from our dorms. The owner was a middle aged lady we affectionately called Pim Unnie. She proudly boasted about feeding the "skinny asses" of many of our YG sunbaenims.

She was kind enough to keep the place open for us late at night when she knew we were going to visit.

She put up the closed sign when we entered, graciously providing us some privacy from prying eyes so that unnies like Jisoo could eat like nobody was watching.

Rosé had brought her guitar with her tonight. She was strumming and humming along to some unknown song and in between I was feeding her huge bites of chicken.

Huh. A maknae's life was hard.

My hand was extending towards her mouth when I noticed the television above the counter playing a familiar song and music video.

Blood, sweat and tears.

I had seen it before, of course, who hadn't. But this time everytime he appeared on screen, my breath catched.

Even my admiration for Jimin didn't stop me for anticipating with bated breath his appearances in the mv.

What was wrong with me?

I had often thought about that day and the arrogant but insanely attractive maknae of BTS. But everytime I started to think about him, I stopped myself.

I didn't want to be one of those girls. I didn't want to have a stupid "crush" on someone. My focus and energy should only be on my career.

"What are you gawking at?", Jennie asked, her face speculative as she turned around to watch the tv too.

"Nothing", I said too quickly.

Rosé raised her eyebrows.

Jennie smirked.

Jisoo was busy eating chicken.

I'm screwed...

I know the sequence of events is all over the place in this ff. But I had to take some creative liberties lol.
