Chapter 18

1 week later-

Lisa's pov~

"Tzukook confirmed dating; Bangtan still mum over the issue."

The bold red letters of the newly published tabloid newspaper screamed out at the passerbys. A picture of Tzuyu with the schoolgirl from a week ago accompanied the article.

Guess they still won't shut up about it.

Tzuyu had basically affirmed every rumour about them that day and the media all ate it up.

Ever since the day at the Show Music Core I had barely heard from Jungkook, even though I knew they were back in Korea. He didn't often reply to my texts and when he did they were all one word answers. Sometimes it made me feel like a desperate ex and my pride couldn't take much more of his silence.

But I was worried about him. How was he taking everything that was happening? The armys were divided in their opinion about him dating. Was he worried? Scared what his fans thought of him?

Or maybe he's with her afterall.

Shoving that thought away, I walked forward on the stone footpath, turning back to look for Jisoo unnie. He wouldn't lie to me, right?

"Hey, long legs, slow down. I'm carrying precious cargo here." Jisoo caught up to me finally.

The precious cargo she was referring to was Dalgom. She refused to put him down and let him walk on his own. We were on a short break after we had a radio appearance this morning, Jennie and Rosé had decided to go to the dorm to rest.

"I see a Starbucks around the corner. Do you want some hot chocolate?", I asked turning to her. Me and her were no coffee enthusiasts but could eat and drink chocolate all day all night.

"No but I'm craving some chocolate cake pops. Let's go.", she replied swinging her bag to her other shoulder as she adjusted Dalgom in her arms.

We stopped in front of the shop and I extended out my arms for Dalgom. "You've carried him long enough. Give him to me and go get me my usual, I'll wait outside."

"Yah, who's the maknae? It's your treat, not mine." She eyed me, trying to look down her nose at me, but with her 5'3 height she looked more comical then intimidating.

I laughed, shaking my head. "Rock, paper, scissors?"

"Fine."

She lost, huffing in annoyance as she reluctantly handed Dalgom to me and stomped inside the coffee shop.

"Your mommy is stupid.", I told the dog in my arms as I stretched my neck back enjoying the cool sunny day.

Someone familiar registered in my brain as I looked across the street at a cafe. I did a double take but my eyes weren't wrong. It was Jimin.

He was wearing a low ball cap but it did nothing to hide his famous cheeks. I recognised him instantly.

It seemed like he was paying the bill, about to get up and leave. I started to walk forward but stopped, remembering the public location. Already a bunch of girls a few tables away from him were giggling behind their hands, staring at him.

But I needed to talk to him. I took out my phone.

*Lisa: Jimin oppa, please don't look this way but I'm standing across the street from you. Can we talk? Right now? Can you meet me at the park down the street?*

2 minutes passed without a reply. I didn't want to look up and see him gone, knowing I'd lost my chance. But then my phone vibrated.

*Jimin: Sure.*

Amazing. First Jungkook and now him, I officially hated one word answers.

"Here."

I jumped in fright. Jisoo waved the hot chocolate under my nose. I thanked her as she took Dalgom back.

"So, listen. Can we make a slight detour to the park nearby? Dalgom needs some exercise, you know."

She eyed me out of the corner of her eyes. "What is it now? Don't bother lying.", she mumbled around a mouthful of cakepop.

Sigh, I was so bad at lying to the unnies. "Jimin agreed to meet me there."

I thought she would balk at the idea but instead she hastened her pace. "Let's go deal with 1/2 of the reason you've been moping about recently."

1 week before

3rd person pov~

Bang Si-hyuk scratched his head as he puzzled over the unexpected visit to his office. But a growing suspicion told him that he should've expected this long ago. He could add 2 and 2 together.

He stood up from his chair as the door to his office opened, revealing none other than Park Jinyoung, Mr. JYP himself. He plastered a fake smile on, extending his hand for a handshake.

"Ayo, Hitman. How have you been?", JYP smiled hugely, shaking his hand with enthusiasm.

The informal greeting didn't bother Bang Si-Hyuk. The two had known each other for a long time. It was also the reason why he couldn't comprehend everything that had been going on with one of his idols recently.

He cut straight to the chase. "Really surprised, actually. I didn't expect this from JYP entertainment. I thought we were close."

JYP sighed, seating himself on the opposite chair. "Straightforward, as always." He steepled his fingers under his chin, gazing at the founder of Bighit with warm eyes. "You know I'm not the CEO of JYP entertainment anymore right?"

"Yes, but you still own a good portion of it.", Hitman Bang countered.

"True, but that doesn't always entail final say at the board meetings, you of all people should know that." He leaned forward in his chair, voice going stern. "I'm here to warn you."

Bighit's president raised his eyebrows, surprised by his "friend's" mannerisms.
"About what?"

"Don't tell the media that Tzuyu is lying. There will be grave consequences if you do."

Jaw clenched with anger, Hitman bang replied, "Do you really think you can threaten me in my own office?"

"I'm not threatening you, Hitman. I'm stating facts here. What has been set in motion is the past now. If you deny it, there are plans to wreck Bangtan's reputation. Maybe a word here and there along the lines of Jungkook abusing Tzuyu-"

"Enough." He slammed his fist on the table as he stood up."What do you want?"

JYP gazed to the side, choosing his words carefully before replying. "My company wants Tzuyu and your youngest idol in a relationship, at least in the eyes of the public."

Hitman's jaw dropped at his words before he collected himself, his mind going through a thousand different scenarios to avoid the inevitable. "Why? What is that going to achieve?"

JYP turned towards the television hanging on the opposite wall as he grabbed the remote from the table. "It has already achieved so much." He flipped through the music and news channels, most of them were either talking about Twice's comeback or the dating rumour. It was very obvious that the publicity surrounding the whole issue had catapulted their fame to a new level. Even people who previously had no interest in them were talking about them. Moreover, because of Bangtan's international popularity, people from all over the world had something to say about Tzuyu or Twice, wether positive or negative.

Bang Si-Hyuk messaged his temples, seeing no way out the problem he found himself in. He did not want Jungkook to go through this, but if what JYP was threatening to do came true, it could effectively destroy everything BTS had built. It was a lose-lose situation and he could only choose the slightly better option.

"For how long?", he sighed.

JYP smiled warmly. "Not long. We would stage the break up as an amicable one, from both parties. No harm no foul." He looked at the man he knew he had no right to call a friend anymore. "For what's it worth, this wasn't my idea, Hitman. And I sincerely hope everything resolves quickly.", he said with a warm voice.

Present day

Lisa's pov~

Jisoo unnie had taken Dalgom for a walk around the park while I waited for Jimin behind the old broken fountain, confident no one could see us from here. I had already texted him my location.

"Hey."

With a squeak I turned around to find Jimin behind me, a small smile on his face.

"You scared me."

He chuckled. "I can tell."

It was his turn to be surprised when I suddenly bowed a full ninety degrees.

"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I didn't mean to disrespect you like that-"

"Stop." He placed his hands on my shoulders, straightening me back up. "Don't apologise. You did nothing wrong. I shouldn't have invited you expecting more, when you only wanted to be my friend."

"But I-"

He put a finger over my lips. "If you still insist on apologising, then okay. I forgive you for making me hear Jungkook's moans." He fake gagged.

I flushed a deep red and he laughed at my face.

He turned serious when I asked, "Did you forgive him?"

He sighed deeply. "I can't stay mad at that one for long, no matter what he does. So yes I did. Besides he is...", he trailed off.

"He's what?", I questioned. What was going on with Jungkook? At this point, Jimin was the only one who could tell me. "How is he?"

His gaze turned warm. He knew I was talking in regards to everything that was happening in the media recently. " I can't say. I'm sorry, Lisa. But- I can't believe I'm saying this- but please don't give up on him, no matter what."

His words made nervous shivers run up my spine. What was going on? Now I was seriously worried. And scared.

But before I could question him further, a small bark resounded in the atmosphere and we both turned to see Dalgom running towards us full speed.

I thought he was running towards me but surprisingly his little paws ran towards Jimin, who looked like he had no idea what to do.

Dalgom reached him, but instead of his usual tail wiggle, he went straight up on his hind legs and attached himself to Jimin's jean-clad leg.

And started humping it.

My mouth hung open in shock.

"Dalgom-ah." Jisoo unnie yelled and I turned to see her panting as she jogged in our direction. She was not a fan of exercising.

Her face turned from irritation to shocked embarrassment as soon as she saw what her precious Dalgom was doing. "Oh my God!!!", she shrieked and made a run for her puppy.

Putting my hand over my mouth, I tried my best to restrain myself from laughing at the hilarious situation.

She pried the dog away from Jimin's leg with difficulty, yelling "Let him go, you dimwit."

Jimin looked like he wanted to drown in a palmful of water.

Jisoo made to stand up, with her dog finally detached. But she head butted Jimin's chin instead.

"Oh no, Oh my God."

She shoved Dalgom in my hands and took out a handkerchief from her skirt pocket. "I'm so sorry.", she apologised endlessly as she made to wipe the blood off the chin of a dazed Jimin.

I couldn't control my laughter anymore. Poor Jimin.

Standing up on her tiptoes and with a hand on his shoulder to balance herself, Jisoo covered his whole mouth with her hanky, dabbing on the wound like a maniac.

Jimin stepped backwards from her sudden weight but she took a step forward at the same time. Theirs legs tangled and both of them went down like a sack of potatoes.

I must admit I fangirled a little when Jimin wrapped his hands around her waist and turned at the last moment to take the brunt of the fall on himself, protecting Jisoo. She landed safely atop his chest.

"How romantic.", I whispered to Dalgom. He licked my face in reply.

"Awe wyu okei?" Jimin mumbled from beneath Jisoo's hanky, which she was still holding over his mouth.

"What?!", Jisoo gulped.

I looked at Dalgom. "I told you your mommy is stupid." He cocked his head in agreement.

Jimin placed his hand over hers and pulled it down, taking the handkerchief from her.

"Are you hurt?"

She blushed, then chuckled nervously. "No, uhm, you make a nice safety cushion."

He smiled. "Am I a bed too?"

"Huh?"

"You're still over me."

She jumped up instantly.

And kneed Jimin in the groin.

He doubled over on the ground, clutching himself.

I hissed in second hand pain. Dalgom whined.

Jisoo looked like she was about to cry. She kneeled beside him. "I'm so sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me." She started to extend her hands towards his crotch.

What the heck is she doing?

"Stop.", Jimin grunted. She immediately pulled her hands away. "Just go. I'll be fine."

"I-"

"Go."

She reluctantly stood up and walked towards me, turning back several times to look at the man still lying on the ground.

Jimin raised his hand up in a thumbs up sign.

I tried to school my expression into a serious one, I'd never seen such entertaining comedy before.

"I didn't make a good first impression, did I?", she whispered worryingly as she neared me.

I burst out laughing again.
