Check out this new book"Fimisola" by my monkey 😂❤ _iseoluwah_
It was me
Lying on the bedroom floor
With mascara running down my face
Crying.
So don't you dare say you've never killed anyone
Because that night you killed me.
@~)~~~~ Digiola Smith
It's been two days.
Two hellish days.
Two days without seeing his best friends. Two days of missing school and his best friends. But honestly, those two days were the worst for Demmie.
The doctor had once again advised his father to take him to a psychologist but as usual his father shunned down the idea. Ranting on and on about how his reputation was at stake. He wished the doctor could understand the reason why he didn't want to comply.
But then, was there any reason?
"Demilade," his father screamed from downstairs.
Demilade who was already approaching the stair case to come downstairs groaned as he heard the sound of his father's voice.
Someone's cannur have peace again, ni?
"Daddy, I'm coming. I want to tie my shoelace." he replied, obviously lying. After few moments, he made his way down the stairs and as usual, his father was seated in the dinning table, his eyes fixed on the newspaper in his hands.
Nawa o, Wasn't he the same man calling me?
"Daddy, I'm here." Demmie called out to his father who had become so engrossed in the paper in his hands that he failed to notice a presence in front of him. A quick smile made his way to his lips as his eyes net with that of his son.
"oh! Demilade you're here!" His mouth wanted to say more but stopped as he noticed something odd about his uniform.
"I didn't buy this uniform with my money, did I?" he asked, curiosity eating him up. He noticed that his looked a bit more tighter and shorter than his usual ones.
Busted. Demmie tried to maintain a straight face as he gave an answer. "Actually daddy, it's not mine, my ex school father gave me. Senior Godwin, he actually gave him."
He hears his father mutter something that sounded like you should be careful of taking this from people. What'll people say?
"And when he gave you, he was too blind to see that it wasn't your usual size and you, are you that poor that you go around begging for clothes." his father snapped.
"but dad I.... I..."
"Just hold it there, anyways your mum is calling today so......."
Demmie seemed to have block our everything else his father said. All that could register in his brain was one thing!
Mom's coming home!
Mom's coming home!
"I'll tell the driver to pick you up early, we'd be having lunch together."
"okay sir." he replied, pushing aside the thought of his mother coming home. He scratched his head in confusion as he thought of a way to tell his father what he was about to say next. His father seemed to have noticed and looked up from his paper, facing his son. "any problem wrong, boy?"
"Uhmmm..... Dad is just that, we've started pre-JPE lessons and uhmmmm.........My electrical installation teacher has been on my neck since it's only me that don't have the material."
He silently hoped in his heart that his father would say something. Just anything but who was he kidding, his father just stared back at his paper, totally ignoring the boy.
"Oluwademiladeayo, your mom will be back today." his father said, ignoring the boy earlier question. "you're not the first person in the world to aspire to be a electric engineer."
Demmie sighed, he knew that there was no use banter with his father. Carefully, he left his presence and made his way to the car.
The driver had been waiting for him since forever. Demmie sighed once more as he wondered what the day had in stock for him.
************
Dear ex,
My life was all black and white
Like sunshine and rainbow, you came to make my life glamourful
Loving you is an understatement
Loving you was also my biggest mistake
It hurts so much that I can't forget about you
It pains so much that after everything I can't find myself hating you
From the kisses we shared to the night we spent cuddling
The movies we both watched, the sound of your melodious voice
I don't know what went wrong even till date
You were my first, you were my everything
I thought you'd be the one to walk me down the aisle
I thought that I had finally found Mr. Right
Guess I had always been wrong
Please just tell me how to stop loving you because I can't
I still find myself drawn to your magnetic smile
My heart still skips a beat when I hear your name
Alas! It's all over now
I want you to remember that I've always loved you and always will
My love, my love, my fearless love
I'll not say goodbye
She wiped the stray tears that had formed on her cheeks and sighed. At this point, she didn't know what to do again. It was useless holding on to something that doesn't need you. She folded the paper neatly and kept it back carefully, exactly where she had met it and made her way out, hoping that he wouldn't notice that she had been snooping around.

She marched into the living room, in a furious manner with the driver at her back trailing in fear but she could care less! The only thing she had in mine was to give him a piece of her mind.
As she sighted him sitting on the chair, his eyes glued to the screen, she faked a cough to alert her presence. Immediately, the latter looked up and his face broke into a smile.
"Angel....." he beamed.
"Dad, you know what you did, don't try to pretend." she snapped.
"Digiola", her dad said in a soft voice. Of course, he was no dummy, he knew what she wanted to say. "you know that no matter what, she still remains your mother, the one who brought you...... "
"I KNOW," she interrupted with a scream, her face were tearful as she tried to fight back the tears. She hated being reminder of that fact. "I'm sorry. " she apologized, as she realized what she had just did. "it's just that it's so hard that someone you call your mother will.... will... actua.... actually. " her voice broke down at the end as she couldn't bring herself to recount that experience.
Hey father who had noticed her change in attitude got up of his seat and gave her a reassuring hug, which he was sure she needed at that point.
"It hurts you know." she sobbed.
"everything's gonna be okay." her father assured.
Grabbing a hold of herself, she freed herself from the hug. She was grateful for it though. "I'll go freshen up."
"sure."
She ran all the way up the stairs to her room. The first thing she did was to go over to her drawer, she brought out an old picture. A picture of a young beautiful woman who looked like a replica of her with a little girl by her side, they were both in matching outfits smiling widely at the camera.
She felt her heart clench at the picture, as much as she tried to deny. She knew that she missed her and she hated herself for missing her.
********
Her mother listened with an expressionless face as she watched her daughter ramble on and on.
"what do I do now, where do I start from! Mummy, it's all crumbling when it has not even started. What's the use now."
Her face broke into a smile as she recounted a message her mother had once told her, one she knew that her daughter needed at this point.
"Moralayo, " she started. "When things go wrong as they'll someday will and the road you're trudging seems all up hill. When you want to smile but you have to sigh, rest, or you must but don't quit. Life is filled with twists and turns, as everyone of us sometimes learns. And many a failure turns about when might have won but he stuck it out. Don't give Up though the place seems slow. You may succeed with another blow and you never can tell how close you are. It may be near when it seems so far, so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit. It's when things seems worst that you mustn't quit."
********
"GOOD FOR NOTHING MAN, YOU HAVE A WIFE, A SON STILL YOU GO ABOUT CHASING GIRLS THAT YOU ARE OLD A ENOUGH TO FATHER.... USELESS THING." Somto heard his mother scream from across her room. He shut his eyelids in frustration, for crying out loud! He was studying for his accounting test.
"CRAZY FELLOW, YOU CALL YOURSELF A WIFE YET YOU DON'T DO YOUR DUTY.... AM I NOT A MAN, NOW YOU COMPLAIN NOW AND THERE THAT..... " he couldn't hear the rest of his sentence. It got interrupted by the sound of a shattering glass and he needed no soothsayer to tell him what had happened.
"KILL ME OO, KUKU KILL ME, I KNOW I'M THE FIRST WOMAN TO GET MARRIED SO KILL ME YOU THIS.... "
He had heard a enough, he took out his headset and just like he had always done. He blocked out the voices.
Though, he could still hear the faint voices.
His father going on and on about how he has needs as a man.
His mother cursing the fact that he chases girls young a enough for him to father.
But at that point, he could care less. All that mattered was the melodious voice filled in his ears.
The voice that spoke peace, one that he hoped will one day become a norm in his house.

Funny a enough; I don't call him those names anymore.
I now call him my ex;
Can your ex lover ever do the above things?
Now, you see reasons why I can't stop loving him.
Dotun teared up a bit as he read through the letter. He didn't know what to say, he didn't even know how he was supposed to respond to something like that. Quickly, he grabbed his phone from his bedside table and went to his whatsapp app as he clicked on a contact.
I saw your letter and although I admit that I'm touched but you of all people know that it can't work out between us again . It's not possible!
Mechanic Yusuf
I know, but who knows..... Something could happen! I'm trying to stay positive and btw, how's she?
She's good but her usual moody self! I quote what she had told me last week "Why should I apologize for the monster, I've become, nobody apologized for making me this way." I won't lie, I don't think she'd appreciate us having this conversation.
Mechanic Yusuf typing......
He heard footsteps coming towards his direction, hurriedly, he tosses his phone aside as he took deep breaths to calm his wide thoughts.
She must never know.
