So, a little while back in the "Is it weird?" chapter of this book, I was discussing the different genres I might want to use when writing another One Piece fan fiction.

Well I've had 'The House of the Rising Sun' by The Animals stuck in my head for days now...

.....and while listening to it on repeat (trying to get sick of it enough to get it out of my system) I started writing a new story called 'West of the Rising Sun'.

It's a One Piece Old West au following a Native American medicine man turned bounty hunter (Trafalgar Law), a upstart outlaw named Eustass William Kid (most commonly known as Billy the Kid), a samurai that got shipped over as cheap labor from Japan but ended up escaping and getting lost in the wild west (Roronoa Zoro), a righteous and honest sheriff trying to rescue an innocent man from the death sentence (Smoker), and that innocent outlaw heading to the hangman's noose for a crime he didn't commit (Portgas D. Ace).

Their stories are all going to tangle together and there will of course be other characters, but they will be what the story focuses on.
