Alright, you ready for more amazing story ideas? No?

Well too bad, it's happening anyway.

This story idea I came up with in one day, like just out of nowhere. It mostly came about because I was listening to this song.

But anyway, this idea would probably fit well in an anime or some other form of animation.

As a background: the world is set in a futuristic, sci-fi world. Humanity is faced with this violent species of monster that threatens the existence of all other creatures that live on earth. They would be these giant, black entities, look like they got some magma shit going on for blood n stuff. It's pretty rad.

Humanity has been at war with these entities for god knows how long. So of course, there's a special army that fights against these creatures. There's about three branches of it: the aerial military branch, the ground troops and --most elite and badass of all-- mecha fighter pilots.

Told you this was futuristic and sci-fi asf.

(Mechas are really cool anyway, soooo...)

Alrighty, so there's this ground troop soldier, let's call him Protag-kun.

So Protag-Kun signed up for everything, went through training, blah blah blah. Once he gets onto the battlefield for the first time, his entire group pretty much gets wiped out. Obviously, he's terrified and doesn't know what to do. He's the only sole survivor. Realizing this war was MUCH more brutal and horrifying than he thought, he just runs away.

Protag-kun later gets caught by a rescue team but he is deemed a deserter. That is considered a crime against the army and the entire nation, so he's really in a not so good situation.

He's taken to the capital for a trial, to which he's called as guilty no matter how hard he tried to defend himself by claiming that ground troops never had a chance against the beasts, that he was never prepared for such a bloody war.

Before he's placed in prison, he has a meeting with the Lieutenant General of an elite mecha pilot league. (This guy is pretty important so he would come out a bunch). The LG (let's call him that) talks with Protag-kun, basically telling him that he fucked up, BUT he's willing to give Protag-kun one more chance at even holding a position in the military.

As great as this was compared to prison, Protag-kun is given a very low grade job at the mecha pilot HQ, where he's made fun of for being such a cowardly rookie and a deserter of the nation.

One day, the LG and his team of pilots go for a mission to take out a horde of those monsters that were headed for a major city. Protag-Kun watches from the side-lines at HQ.

Unfortunately, the team is nearly annihilated and the only one able to fight well enough is the LG (everyone's okay, it's just their mechas are fuckin broke. Well everyone's okay except one but either way). HQ doesn't know what plan of action to take, LG thinks he can take out the last of the horde (which happens to be a sort of Alpha monster), but of course none of this helps. Protag-kun, still being the patriotic guy he is, decided to help out LG since no one else was doing shit. This guy boards a mecha so that he can go and help out LG, everyone's like, "No what are you doing? That mecha doesn't work anymore, man."

Protag-kun's like, "Fuck ya'll idgaf, I'm helping out my senpai."

Mecha ends up actually working and everyone's like, "holy shit."

Protag-kun goes to LG's aid like he intended.

LG's like "yo, tf you doing, rookie?"

And Protag-kun's like, "Saving your ass, senpai bitch.," and slaUGHTERS THE MONSTER LIKE A BOSS EVen though he's never fully piloted a mecha and he wasn't trained for it anyway.

When the fight is over and everyone is back safely at HQ, people are in an uproar about what Protag-kun did. Reasons why are, 1): He was a rookie ground troop, not a mecha pilot, and 2): he actually piloted the mecha that belonged to one of the most legendary and well-renowned pilots in the nation's history. Why is that so important? Because that mecha was designed ONLY for that pilot: it only activated with a hand print scan on the controls that finalized that it was the correct pilot. It was only meant for that pilot (who went missing many years ago), but it could also be activated by any blood family member of that pilot (which there weren't many).

So, pretty much, Protag-kun is the son of the this legendary mecha pilot fighter.

People are like, "OMG WUT HOW OH MAH GAWD."

LG is like, "Good at ya m8, join the fuckin' mecha pilot league and be as badass as your dad."

The capital is kinda like, "Lol no fuck you Protag-kun, you ain't doing shit," at first, but then they change their minds and say, "Okay, fine, you can join them. Good luck trying not to die, asshole."

So Protag-kun is kinda like, "Ummmm....what???" but he goes with it anyway.

And a bunch more story would happen after that but that's all I could think of as a starter.

So there you go, that's my story idea that I came up with in one day from just listening to one song.

I love it because 1): mechas, 2): sci-fi, 3): giant things fighting, and 4): mechas again.
