Chapter 6
The doctor arrived, giving me another look over and then discussing the details of when I get out and going again. "If it had just been one ankle or the other, it wouldn't have been such a big deal." The silver haired, Dr. Marcus Dawson tells me plainly. "However, since it was both ankles, you can't maneuver crutches."
I am honestly wondering where he's going with this. Then he starts talking again. "However I think we might have another option...."

After learning more about my future of mobility, at least for a little while, my "guests" come back.
Jeannie smiles. "It was nice meeting you, Britt. I wish it had just been under better circumstances." She laughed lightly. "I'll be going now. God bless..."
Before she can finish her sentence, a guy of average height, about my age, with dark hair and some seriously blue eyes, bursts in the room. "Mom. I called the guys. They said they'd do the show without me, then come by here for a special performance."
Then he stops and sees me watching him. "Oh, hi. You look different when your conscious." He smiles a wide grin. "I'm Joey Stmaper. I see you've already met my Mom."
Joey and Jeannie tell me more about the band that he is in, until three other guys come in the room. One is tall and slim with dark hair. The next is sort of tall too, but with more of a bulky type of build and lighter hair. The last is about the same height as Joey with sort of dark hair. Joey proceeds to introduce them as Alan, Chad, and Caleb. His bandmates of Anthem Lights.
They go on to sing a few songs acoustically. One was about helping you stand. Haha, yeah I could use that right about now. Top of the world, where the light is, and can't get over you, where a few things I picked up on in the other songs.
They ended the impromptu concert and left, all saying they would keep me in their prayers.
The reality of what has happened in the last two days falls back on me. Seriously? JUST two days. Already I've made multiple new friends. Sprained both my ankles. Rescued by a band member and his mom, then the same band gave me a concert in my hospital room too.
This may be a hum dinger of a year!
