After another week of training, for the real competition that mattered. The DSPC, or Division Schools Press conference, where 300+ students from different schools gather in one school to compete. There are 200+ more, but they gather to a separate school.

Maye was one of the 300+ to meet at ilaya Elementary School.

"I wonder if my luck ran out"
"Don't worry, it's ok to not win, but make sure to do your best" Mayes' teacher reassured.

Her school competitors were led to the court, where the flag ceremony and announcements took place. After that, they went to each of their designated classrooms.

Maye and her classmates were separated, she was yet again preparing for a disappointing and boring day.

Mayes' POV

I can sit down finally, my legs are killing me. This classroom is bigger than the last schools'. I arranged my materials and just doodled to try to pass time.

Wait, isn't that the boy from last time? It was so unlikely that i would be placed in the same room as him. Pftt. So what? He probably doesn't remember me, i went back to drawing.

Ok fine, i'll just write "Congratulations!" On my pad paper and show it to him. He was second place last time right?
As i pointed my sign at him, he squints his eyes trying to read it.

Omg how stupid could i be!? He's so far away and he has glasses! Well, it's fine, i already did it.

I try mouthing it. He's still confused. By this time, i give up.

I just sat at my desk, thinking how awkward that was. Then suddenly, he stood up and went towards my direction!
