Tears filled (Y/N)'s eyes, a small whimper left her lips when she heard a loud strike of thunder in the distance. She hugged her legs tightly, shaking from the cold. The small girl of only 9 years of age had gotten lost during this terrible storm. The poor girl was going to freeze to death if she stayed outside any longer but she had nowhere to go.

The ground started to shake, (Y/N) thought it was just because of the storm but she was far from being right. Big, grey eyes looked down upon the young girl. Pity fell upon him, his father had taught him to hate humans, but no matter what he told himself he couldn't. On top of that the girl looked younger then him making him feel even worse and made the feeling of needing to help her even stronger. He very carefully sat down in front of her. "H-Hey." He said softly. (Y/N) jumped slightly at the sudden booming voice. She very slowly looked up, her eyes widened as her heart started to increase in speed. She had never seen a giant, she was only told stories from her parents. Her parents had told her they were evil, cruel monster whom she had to stay away from, they had told her to run away if she were to ever encounter one. Fear took over her. "P-Please don't h-hurt m-me." (Y/N) stuttered out. "I'm not going to hurt you I just want to help." He said. (Y/N) whimpered, no matter what he were to say to try to comfort the young girl it would all be blocked off by her fear.

He sighed softly before he slowly moved his hand closer to her. (Y/N)'s eyes widened, a screech left her small lips as she quickly moved away from his hand. "Please I'm not going to hurt you." He tried to reassure her. (Y/N) simply didn't listen to him as she quickly got up and started running. He sighed as he stood up and went after her.

Within seconds he had her in his grasp. (Y/N) screamed at the sudden physical contact. Her eyes filled with pure terror, tears fell from her (E/C) eyes. Regert filled him once he saw her crying image. "S-Sorry I'm sorry!" He said. (Y/N) stayed silent, more tears leaving her eyes. At this point she thought she was never going to see her parents again. His thumb gently pressed against her exposed arm to see how cold she was, her body was ice cold. "I'm gonna help you ok?" He said, (Y/N) didn't say anything but she was shaking violently from both the cold and fear. He held her in between both of his hands. He closed them just enough so she wouldn't feel the cold but still had air.

(Y/N) curled up in a ball as she silently cried. He made his way home, luckily his father wasn't home so (Y/N) would be fine. He went up to his room and sat down on his bed before putting his hand down on the bed's surface. Once (Y/N) hit the cushiony surface she quickly scooted backwards until her back hit a soft pillow. "Calm down." He said. (Y/N) was still shaking slightly, her cheeks held both tears and rain droplets. Her (H/L) (H/C) hair messy and wet along with her clothes.

"Y-You're n-not g-gonna hurt m-me?" (Y/N) asked quietly.

He shook his head. "No I'm not." He replied.

(Y/N) let out a shaky breath as she tried to calm down. "T-Thank you...." She said softly.

He tilted his head slightly. "For what?"

"For bring me here and not leaving me out in the cold of course!" (Y/N) gave a small childish smile.

He smiled slightly. "So what's your name?"

"(Y-Y/N) my names (Y/N)." She replied

"Thats a pretty name I'm Jace." He said.

"T-Thank you I like your name too." (Y/N) said.

"...Why were you alone out in that rain?" Jace asked.

Tears started to form in (Y/N)'s (E/C) orbs. "I-I got lost a-and I don't know where my m-mommy or brother a-are." She said quietly, a few tears escaped.

Jace frowned slightly. "I'm sorry..." He said and out of reflex he started gently petting her head with his index finger to try to comfort her. (Y/N) twitched, which caused him to pull away, but slowly relaxed. She pressed her head against his index finger letting him know she was ok with it. He blushed slightly but nevertheless continued petting her head gently. (Y/N) giggled, Jace smiled softly and continued this until he noticed (Y/N) had fallen asleep. He gently picked her up, trying his best not to wake her. He was successful, he carefully placed her on the top of the pillow (Y/N) had her back against. (Y/N) snuggled against the soft pillow, Jace smiled softly at the adorable sight. He slowly laid his head on the other pillow next to her.

Jace didn't know how long he was out but because he was a light sleeper he woke up when he heard the front door open. He sighed knowing it was his dad and quickly but gently picked (Y/N) up, waking her up almost instantly. "I'm sorry I'll explain later." He mumbled before putting her down on the cold, wooden floor under the bed. He pushed the blanket until it covered the gap between the floor and the bed so his dad wouldn't see her.

(Y/N) was left confused but once she heard an angry voice whom she assumed was Jace's father, she completely understood what was happening. For a 9 year old (Y/N) was a pretty smart little girl. (Yes author~chan is giving chu compliments X3)

She quickly but quietly ran to a dark corner. She knew she couldn't make even the slightest sound.

"Dad I swear there's no humans in the house." Jace said, trying to calm down his father.

"You're lying I know a human when I smell one you're hiding one aren't you?" He asked

"No I'm not."

"Then get off the bed and let me look."

"...Alright."

Jace slowly got off his bed. This gave (Y/N) enough time to set up a small trap. She carefully pulled a mouse trap, that was under the bed, and put it in front of an old action figure that she had put against the wooden pole of one of the corners of the bed. She went behind the pole that was on the complete opposite side of the trap.

Jace's father pulled the blanket off from the floor and looked under the bed, just as expected, and smirked when he thought he caught sight of a human, but it was truly an action figure. "Aha! I knew it!" He said as he reached over to grab it but failed to notice the mouse trap. (Y/N) covered her mouth, trying her best to silence her laughter when she heard his, somewhat, distant scream.

"Dad?! Uh I'll go get some ice!" Jace said.

"No! I'll take care of it myself!" His father said and left the room. Jace could hear the front door be slammed shut.

After a few seconds Jace laughed. "Ok you can come out now." He said softly. He could hear (Y/N)'s distant giggling.

"I can't believe he fell for it." (Y/N) said.

Jace chuckled. "Well he did and now he'll be out all night." He said then glanced over out the window. "Well the storm seems to have calmed down so why don't I-" He looked over at (Y/N) who yawned, telling him she was tired. He stayed slient for a moment, thinking about what to do. "...Take you home tomorrow." He said. (Y/N) simply gave a small nod. He picked her up and placed her down on the pillow she was on before.

Less then a minute went by before she was fast asleep. Jace smiled slightly, he still wondered how someone so innocent looking came up with a plan like she had.
