PARIDHI'S P.O.V

"It's 20,000 not one penny less but one penny more will go. " Sunidhi yelled laughing. We all giggled.
"Hey hey listen, I know I am marrying your sister but that doesn't mean you will just rob me. " Payal's groom said. All the girls narrowed their lids.
"Excuse me Mr Groom, this is a custom. You have to give us money otherwise my sister is not going with you. " I said folding my hands. He and his friends chuckled.
"Girls please have mercy on us. 20,000 is really a big amount, we can give you 10,000. Will that be ok. " his friend said chuckling. We all rolled our eyes.
"10,000 you have to be kidding me. My dress itself costs 25,000. Look give us our money or else forget my sister and your shoes too. " nilima said giggling. We all starting laughing.
"I told you to keep an eye on my shoes idiots. Now see these girls are going to empty my wallet. " the groom said glaring at his friends.
"We did brother, but the girls are just too smart. " his friends said scratching the back of his neck. We all giggled. Meanwhile David entered with a plate filled with chilli potatoes. He sat near the groom, his mouth filled with the potatoes.
"What is happening guys. " he asked stuffing more chilli potatoes in his mouth. I rolled my eyes.
"Nothing much our beloved jiju is not ready to give us money. " I said pouting. David glared at them.
"Hey I am ready, but not to give 20,000. You are robbing me. " the groom said. I scrunched up my nose in annoyance.
"Jiju 20,000 is final. C'mon just give us money. " sunidhi said.
"First give us shoes, than we will give you money. " the groom's brother said smirking.
"First money than shoes. " I replied stubbornly.
"Shoes. " he said folding his arms.
"Money. " we all yelled. He kept his hand on his ears, because we were so loud.

We all were giggling and fighting with Payal's groom and his friends. Payal is  sunidhi's elder sister, she is such a sweet girl.
"Pari your dress looks really pretty. Can I borrow the dress from you for one day. " madhu said with puppy dog eyes.

"Umm I will think about it. " I said fixing my hairs. She glared at me. I giggled.
"Pari. " David said from behind. I flinched back. I kept my hand on my chest and took a deep breath.
"You scared me David. " I said hitting his arm. He chuckled.
"Pari you look beautiful today and I know you also want to say that I look handsome. Look no problem if you are shy to say that, I know I am the most handsome man on earth. " he said fixing his hairs. I rolled my eyes. He is anything but handsome. Suddenly he grabbed my hand and started twirling me around.
"David what are you doing. " I said with wide eyes.
"Dancing with you, what else. " he said like it was the most obvious thing, still twirling me around. I don't know how my hand slipped from his grasp and I was about to fall but then someone caught me. I kept my hands on my eyes, because I was just so scared. I slowly removed my hands to see I was in the arms of.......Viraj. Oh God, what is he doing here. I looked at him, to see him staring at me with his dangerous eyes that were filled with obsession.
"I never knew I will be welcomed here like this." he said smiling, still staring at my face. I quickly got away from him, which he clearly didn't like.
"I.....I am sorry. " I said looking down. He came towards me.
"It wasn't a mistake my princess. This is where you belong, in my arms. " he said as he kissed the back of my hand. I pushed my hand back.
"Excuse me uncle, but don't you think scaring a girl is wrong. " David said with gritted teeth. Viraj looked at him angrily.

"Do you know that I can break your jaw. " viraj said glaring at him.
"Wow you made a rhyme 'Do you know that I can break your jaw'. Are you a poet. " David asked excitedly. Viraj gave me 'you have to be kidding me' kind of look.
"Little boy, how much weed do you smoke per day. " viraj asked with concern.
"I don't smoke." David said confused.
"Than start smoking, because if you smoke or not, it just doesn't make any difference. " viraj said patting his shoulder.
"No no I will never smoke. Because if I will smoke than pari will not marry me. " David said smiling. Viraj clenched his fist. He grabbed his collar and raised him up in air.
"Go and watch cartoons little boy. Pari is mine. " viraj said angrily. I could see David was not able to breathe.
"Viraj please stop. " I pleaded, he looked at me and his once angry eyes were now replaced with love. He throwed David on the ground. He coughed.

Viraj grabbed my hand and took me with him. I kept walking with my eyes down because I couldn't do anything. My eyes were filled with tears. He stopped and I looked up. I saw sudarshni standing there with two kids.
"Hi paridhi, how are you. " sudarshni asked with a smile. I gave her a short smile, my eyes still filled with tears.
"What happened paridhi, viraj what did you do know. " sudarshni said wiping my tears. Viraj looked at me anxiously.
"Baby why are you crying. Did someone hurted you, I swear I will kill him or her whoever it is. Tell me who it was. " Viraj said cupping my face. I was about to yell on him but then my eyes went to the two kids standing. If I will shout than they might get scared.
"Viraj please, you are scaring her. " sudarshni said softly wiping my newly formed tears.
"What do you mean by scaring her.???  Sudarshni she is my life, why will I scare her. " Viraj said exasperated.
"Viraj just try to hear your tone, you sound like a blood thirsty killer. " sudarshni said grabbing my hands in her own.
"Mumma, why is aunty crying. " the kids asked innocently. Viraj went near them.
"Pari, meet my niece and nephew. They both are sudarshni's kids. " viraj said with a smile. I smiled at the kids. Meanwhile a man came.
"Boss everyone is waiting for you in the bar. " the man said bowing down.
"I am coming. " viraj said seriously.
"Viraj please don't drink much, you have to drop us at the airport. " sudarshni said.
"I know that, you don't have to remind me. " he said as he hugged me from the back. I tried to remove his hands from my waist.
"I am going for a drink baby, I will be back soon. Love you. " he said as he kissed my cheek and left from there. I was about to leave when sudarshni stopped me.
"Paridhi please sit with me, I have to talk to you. " sudarshni said with a smile. I sat near her.
"I thought you had left for kolkata. " I said softly. She laughed.
"I was going to but my kids insisted to stay with viraj. He is their 'Mamu' after all. " she said chuckling. I smiled.
"Paridhi you hate viraj, right. " sudarshni asked with worry.
"Isn't it obvious. " I said looking down. She kept her hand on mine.
"But why do you hate him, even though he is madly in love with you. " sudarahni asked. I looked at her with teary eyes.
"He is a gangster sudarshni. He kills people for no reason. Do you know, he killed a boy who proposed me and he even slaughtered the whole hotel staff, just because they flirted with me. " I said in a croaking voice. She looked at me with pity.
"It's because he cannot see any other male looking at you or even talking to you. " she said wiping my tears.
"You don't know, he is a psychopath sudarshni." I said as tears started to cascade down my eyes.
"I know paridhi, I know everything. I have not come here to defend my brother or to force you to love him. I am here just because I want to save you. I want you to accept the reality. And the reality is this, that you belong to viraj. You are his. Just his. He will keep the whole world in your feet but will never let you go. He will do anything to keep you with him. If you will think of any other man than he will kill him. You will have to accept him one day, you don't have any other choice. " she said with pity. I started crying.
"No I am not his. You are his sister, please ask him to leave me alone. I don't love him, he scares me. He is a psychopath, I can never love him. " I said crying. She looked at me with her eyes filled with pity and concern.
"Paridhi you just don't understand. Viraj will not listen to anyone. You know when your parents took you back to your home, he was really angry. He smashed everything in his room, I saw him paridhi. He....he....behaved....like a drug addict who couldn't find his drugs. I don't know how many people he killed that day. You are his madness. You keep him sane. His love for you has now turned into obsession. A dangerous obsession. He will never let you go. You don't understand paridhi, you just don't understand. He is crazy for you. Please try to accept him, he might be a bad guy but he loves you insanely. He will do anything you say. " she said. I looked at her with tears.
"Why is this all happening to me.??? What is my mistake. Why can't he just go to any other girl. " I said wiping my tears. She smiled.
"It's because you are the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Now go, your family must be searching for you. " she said with a smile. I got up from my seat. I waved her bye and went to my family.

"Pari your phone is ringing, why don't you answer the call. " sunidhi asked licking her ice cream.
"It's him sunidhi, I just don't want to talk to him." I replied stuffing a coconut and chocolate truffle in my mouth.
"You know pari, I sometimes feel like to punch him. " sunidhi said.
"Ask me, I want to slap him whenever I look at him. " I said throwing the truffle wrapper in the garbage bin.
"Ignore him. Do you want me to drop you off to your home. " she asked finishing her ice cream.
"No I will go by a taxi. " I said with a smile.
"Ok bye. Take care. " she said as she sat in her car. I waved her bye and sat in the taxi. After 15 minutes, I reached my home. I opened the door and went inside. I looked around to find my house silent. I know why???. Mom and dad had gone to the temple and brother is in his office. I climbed the stairs and reached my room. I looked at the door, to find it open.
"I remember clearly that I had locked the door. " I said to myself. I went inside silently.
"Pari. " a voice came from behind. I turned back and screamed. I saw viraj standing there, looking crazy. I started backing away from him.
"What are you doing in my room, get out. " I said scared. He started coming towards me.
"I......called you......you didn't answer my calls. I just wanted to.....hear your voice. But no, you just don't have time for me. So I came here to see you. " he said tilting his head.
"Stay away. " I said shaking with fear. He grabbed my waist and pulled me to him forcefully.
"I can't stay away from you. I just can't. You are mine. Only mine. " he said leaning his face on mine. Tears started to roll down my eyes.
"Mom, Dad help me. " I whispered crying.
"YOU ONLY NEED ME, DID YOU GET THAT. " he yelled angrily, I cried more. He released me and stepped back.
"You just don't understand pari. YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. You are mine. Just mine. I will have to prove it to you that you are meant to be mine. I will prove it. " he said madly stretching his arms. I looked at him with fear, what is he planning to do.
"Robert. " he yelled. A man came running inside carrying a big pot filled with......turmeric. The man gave the pot to him and ran outside.

Viraj started coming towards me and I kept backing away from him.
"What is this. " I asked with fear. He laughed.
"Yesterday sudarshni told me that when a girl applies turmeric of a man's name than she becomes his for life. So this turmeric and sandalwood is of my name and I will apply it on you and than you will become mine forever. " Viraj said like a psycho. My mom always told me about the turmeric custom in Hinduism. Viraj was right, a girl only applies turmeric of her husband's name.
"But if a girl willingly applies it than only she becomes his. Customs are to be followed with love. " I said with tears. He laughed madly.
"Pari whether you like it or not, I will apply this on you and will make you mine. " he said as he grabbed my wrist and throwed me on my bed. He sat near me and kept the turmeric pot on the bed. I tried to run but he grabbed me. He took some mixture of turmeric and sandalwood on his fingers and applied it on face.
"Please no. " I begged crying badly. He looked at me as if I was a fairy. He then started applying the mixture on my hands.
"No..........no..........please......no...." I said hiccuping. He didn't listen to me, he just kept applying the turmeric on my body. He applied the mixture on my legs, kissing them in the process. After he was done, he kept his cheek on my own so that the turmeric can spread on his cheek too. He got up from the bed.
"Now you are Paridhi Viraj Ranawat. Wife of Viraj Ranawat. You are now mine forever. I have made you mine. Just mine. " he said eyeing me up to down. I didn't say anything, I just kept crying.
"Say something pari. " he said cupping my cheeks.
"I hate you. You are a monster. " I said crying. He smiled.
"I am a monster and you are the queen of this monster. This monster loves you madly. " he said sitting on his knees. I looked at him with disgust.
"I will never be yours. You think by applying this you can make me yours. No you can't. " I said angrily. He clenched his fist. He forcefully grabbed me and throwed me on his shoulder. I started hitting his back. He made his way to his car and forcefully made me sit inside. He picked me up on his lap and I cried more. I requested him to leave me but he didn't. He kept kissing my face and it was not at all sweet kiss, it appeared as if he was claming me. The car stopped in front of his mansion. I looked at his mansion with horror. He picked me up in the bridal style and led me up to his room, ignoring my constant struggles and cries. He opened the door and laid me on his bed. He gave me one last look before storming outside. I could hear the sound of locking of the door.

I sat on the bed and cried for I don't know how long. And I seriously don't remember when I slept. I woke up in the evening. I stretched my arms and looked around to see it was viraj's room. Tears formed in my eyes when I remembered what happened in the morning. I touched my face and I felt my face was cleaned. Not only my face my legs and my hands were clean too. Looks like someone has cleaned me. I removed the blanket from my body to find a chain tied around my leg. I tried to remove it but in vain. I sat there crying my eyes out. I got up from the bed and started to walk towards the door, but the chain stopped me when I was about to reach the door. I cried. I looked around to see a big glass window and a sofa kept in front of it. Luckily the chain was allowing me to sit on the sofa and look outside. I sat there hugging my knees as tears kept streaming down my eyes. Suddenly I heard the sound of clicking of the door, I looked at the door to find viraj standing there. He looked at me and came towards me anxiously.
"Baby are you alright. Are you hungry. " he asked kissing my fingers. I looked at him, crying.
"Please......i.......want......to.......go....." I hiccuped while crying. He wiped my tears.
"Shhhh....it's ok. Don't cry. " he said caressing my hairs.
"My parents........" I couldn't say anything as I coughed. He hurriedly grab a glass of water and brought it near to my lips. I gulped down the water.
"I.....want.....to.....go....my family.....must be......waiting for me. " I said with difficulty. He sighed.
"Baby you will never go outside this room. From today, this is where you will live forever. I know you will feel sad and lonely but with time you will get used to it. I will love you so much. Huh my baby. I.......I promise. I will give you anything you want. But you will not step outside our bedroom ever. " he said with madness. I looked at him with fear. I shook my head in denial.
"No......please......let....me go. " I begged crying badly. He grabbed me.
"I will never let you go. Now c'mon give me a kiss. C'mon baby, give me a beautiful kiss. " he said as he tried to kiss me. My head started to feel heavy and I realised that I was slowly starting to black out. The last thing I remembered before blacking out completely is that I was in Viraj's arms and he was eyeing me obsessively.
