I lay on the shoal of white sand beach.

The water is turquoise, deep and calm.

From far above I see the dragon just under the surface. Wings covering all the ocean.

The waves peak into bright white luminescence.

I rest completely in the tropical waters (waves of light dancing around my body).

I see my chest. There is a crack which opens into a bottomless void.

Drops of whiteness fall into the crack in my body.

[plink]

I see my red heart.

[plink]

The crack is like those sometimes found on exhaust pipes. Hot gas exhaust corroding the metal.

The whiteness sometimes curves under and joins my redness. Creating a glue. Making the crack smaller.

I wake from the dream. I have been sleeping a bit far off from the dragon goddess. Proving that I can stand it (for her).

I say to her.

" I abide here intent to learn, your choice of this sojourn.

You have pulled me free, of a fate that another did decree.

I have your message clear. Stay alive until you return here."

I roll over on my stomach and rest with her in wondrous view.

She speaks in my head: "A most devoted and cheery human you are.

While here. You should avoid lying like that when others are awake around you. "

I roll onto my side, and smile back.
