Professor smiled: "In case you haven't noticed yet Veer you are already in."

To this Ananya giggled while Veer looked around totally confused as he didn't realized when he actually entered the class. He was chasing Ananya and picked up a high speed but when Ananya abruptly came to a halt, he couldn't control his speed and hence bumped into her.

After realizing that the professor was indeed correct, Veer sighed: "Uh..oh...yeah. Sorry." He muttered.

Professor shook her head in amusement: "okay! Get to your seat now."

Veer and Ananya toghether: "Yes ma'm."

And they went along to find their usual seat where their gang was sitting. As they reached their seats, they found a boy occupying a seat next to the one where Ananya used to sit. Veer raised his eyebrows at the boy as it was his place that the boy had occupied and knowing Veer and his unpredictable temper, the boy immediately got up and moved to other seat. Veer and Ananya settled on their respective seats beside each other as usual.

As soon as they settled down a boy who was sitting just in front of them turned back and whispered: "Aaj tum dono itna late kaise ho gaye?"

Ananya whispered back: "Poocho mat yaar Rahul, pehle toh is kumbkaran (pointing to Veer who pouted) ko neend se jagao jo ki kisi jung se kam nehi, fir duniya bhar mein jo iski female fanclub faili hui hain usse peecha churao. Ab in saare cheejo ke baad hum late nehi honge toh aur kya expect kar sakte ho tum."

Rahul grinned but immediately wiped it off his face when Veer snapped: "oye battisi mat dikha warna ek punch lagaonga. (And then he turned to Ananya) Accha toh sab mere wajah se hua aur tumhein car mein manane mein jo itna time gaya uska kya?"

Ananya whispered back: "Accha toh mujhe gussa kisne dilaya tha? Gussa tum dilaoge toh manayega kya koi aur?"

Veer opened his mouth to reply but immediately stopped as they heard their professor: "Veer and Ananya!"

Both: "Sorry Ma'm."

As the professor went back to teaching the duo again started with their bickering in mere whispers as to decide who exactly was at fault for their late arrival.

After a few while, the lecture was turning to be a monotonous one. Ananya rolled her eyes and pulling Veer's arm close to her she kept her head on it, leaning on it while Veer looked at her and smiled. Then he kept stroking her open silky hair as he knew that she loved it when he would stroke her hair.

After what seemed like ages, finally the class was over and most of the students sighed in relief.

All the students started to come out of the class followed by Veer, Ananya and their gang which consisted of Soham, Rahul, Riya, Soniya and And Arnav.

Riya: "So buddies canteen chalein?"

All toghether: "Yeah lets go."

And all the seven friends headed for the canteen which was offcourse the best place to gossip, play pranks and do whatever they wanted to.

(Canteen)

The gang entered the canteen and headed for their usual table at the corner beside the large window, a little away from the general hustle bustle of the generally crowdy canteen.

On approaching the table, Veer decided to bring snacks for them.

Veer: "Ok buddies, u all settle down and I'll bring the snacks for u all."

Soham: "Main chalu kya tumhare saath?"

Veer chuckled: "kyun tumhein Soniya se aankhein chaar nehi karna? Itni jaldi bore ho gaye kya?"

All laughed at Veer's comment while Soham and Soniya blushed.

Soham: "Veer!"

Veer: "Kya? Sach hi toh bola na maine."

Soniya: "Veer tumko snacks lene nehi jaana?"

Veer: "oye hoye, kya baat hain! Dekha Pari shaadi se pehle hi apne would be ke defence mein kud gayi humari jhansi wali rani."

Ananya giggled: "Aur nehi toh kya. ise kehte hain patibrata naari. Apne patnidharm ka paalan kar rahi hain. Hain na Sonu?"

Soniya blushed really badly: "Anu!!! Accha aur jo tum aur Veer ek dusre ko har baat mein defend karte rehte ho uska kya? Sach sach bolo chakkar kya hain?"

Instead of Ananya, it was Veer replied: "Oye chakkar toh tumhare dimag ko aa rahe hain. Ilaaj karwao apna. Hum toh ek dusre ka saath denge hi na, after all we are best buddies."

Now it was Ananya who spoke : "Haan aur humne ek dusre se waada kiya hain ke jindagi bhar ek dusre ka saath nibhayenge, ek dusre ka haath kabhi nehi chorenge."

Veer nodded affirmatively while the other friends were shocked to hear that and then their shock turned to happiness and they all, except Arnav who didn't get the meaning hidden in those simple words, smiled."

Veer and Ananya, however, felt weird to see them all smiling like idiots.

Veer and Ananya: "What?"

Riya (in behalf of everyone): "nothing. Just like that."

Looking at them as if they all had gone insane right at the same time, Veer shook his head and the looked at Ananya and gestured her with his eyes to come with him, not because he needed help, oh no he would never let her carry the tray which, according to him, was too heavy for her, but because he had a habbit to have Ananya by his side whenever he would go anywhere or do anything (Now now guys don't get evil ideas) well, almost anything. He just love to have his best buddy just stay by his side.

As soon as they were out of sight, Riya said in disbelief: Guys, do you really think they still don't get the meaning of all these? Inko ab tak kuch bhi samajh nehi aa ya? Kis duniya ke idiots hain yeh yaar?"

Rahul shook his head: "you bet yaar! How can they be so blind? We all can clearly see it. Cant they see?"

Soham smiled: "Its just that they still haven't realized it. Lekin pata nehi kyun par mujhe lagta hain ki wo waqt bahut jaldi aayega jab inko yeh baat khud hi pata chal jayega."

Soniya: "And I hope that time comes before its too late."

Arnav, who was much innocent then his other friends, however, didn't get a single meaning out of the conversation.

Arnav scratched his head: "umm..guys, about what u all are talking yaar? Mujhe toh kuch bhi samajh nehi aa raha."

Rahul chuckled: "Aur aayega bhi nehi kyunki tu toh hain humare pyare bhole."

All giggled while Arnav pouted.

On the other hand, Veer and Ananya were standing on the food counter, talking and laughing at the silly and extremely weird jokes that Veer had cracked. Ananya was giggling, clutching her stomack when Veer again started: "Accha ek aur suno.."

But he was cut in by a breathless Ananya: "no ways! Ek bhi aur nehi. Warna main has has ke paagal ho jaongi. Mera pet bhi dard kar raha hain."

Veer teased her: "Arey isme na toh teri pet ki aur na hi mere jokes hi koi galti hain."

Ananya was confused as she didn't get his meaning: "Matlab?"

Veer chuckled: "matlab? Matlab tere bechare pet mein har aadhe ghante mein kuch na kuch jaata rehega toh bechara digest kaise kar payega. Toh u see dard hona quite natural."

Saying this he began to laugh like a maniac while Ananya's mouth fall open. As soon as the meaning sank in, she started to hit him on his arm while he was still laughing: "Sorry sorry Pari."

Ananya: "Sorry ke bacche. Kya matlab hain haan? Main humesha khati rehti hu? Main bhukkar hu?"

Veer (still laughing and trying to escape her beatings) : "Arey nehi Pari maine kab kaha yeh. Tum toh khud hi bol rahi ho."

Ananya still smacking his arms: "Haan haan tum to innocent poor thing ho na."

Veer, as usual, surrendered in defeat: "Accha accha baba. Ab maaf bhi kardo yaar. Aur kitna marogi? Tum na din ba din khooni darindi banti jaa rahi ho."

Ananya stopped hitting him and she giggled: "Aur tum bandar."

Veer pouted and the next moment they both were laughing at it.

Soon Veer and Ananya came back with the snacks and settled down with their friends.

Rahul: "guys, tum logo ne suna kya kal humare college mein do naye students join karne wale hain."

Soham: "Haan maine bhi suna. Kaun hain kuch pata hain tum logo ko?"

Riya: "pata nehi yaar. (The she sighed) Haye kash ki koi sona munda ho yaar, fir toh apni nikal pari, kyun Anu."

Anu giggled: "Tere dimag mein humesha yehi sab chalta rehta kya? And as for me I'm...."

Veer completed the statement for her: "So not interested." (And grinned)

Soniya: "Veer kabhi usko bhi bolne diya kar. Shayad wo kuch aur kehna chahti hain."

Veer smirked: "Really now? Pari ko mujhse acchi tarah aur koi nehi janta. Thik hain mere baat pe yakeen nehi hota toh usko hi puchlo." (And he gestured towards Ananya with his eyes)

Riya turned towards Ananya who nodded in affirmation and giggled seeing the frown in both riya and Soniya's faces.

Soham shook his head: " bekar koshish mat karo doston, yeh dono ek dusre ke khilaf kabhie nehi jayenge. I wonder whether you both are just friends. Is it just friendship or something more than that."

Veer smiled : "You are absolutely correct bro. We are not just friends."

All their friends were baffled and happy too as they never thought that Veer would ever say something like that.
