Chapter 12 - Keefe
A/N Dedicated to Penguin4evar for our bet. We totally forgot about it...
"Was it that oblivious?" Keefe asked he looked around
"Well, she is another version of you," Dex said, laughing
"LEAH!" Dex yelled
Leah was their oldest daughter, she had manifested Technopath a year ago. She had periwinkle eyes like her father and brown hair like Biana's. She was a whole other Dex
Addison and Leah were laughing as they walked out of the kitchen. Addison quit laughing when she saw a grinning Keefe she gave him a sly wave
"Uh, hey dad," Addison said nervously
"Hey uncle Keefe," Leah replied
"S'up Leah," Keefe came over and draped an arm around Leah's shoulders and messed up her hair. He looked at Addison and raised his eyebrows
"Did you find out?" Addison asked nervously
"What?" Keefe asked
"Oh, good," Addison let out a breath. Keefe let go of Leah and headed over to Addison and grabbed her hand. He looked at Dex and cleared his throat
"We have to, uh, leave or Sophie will probably kill me,"
Dex laughed. "It's fine. Biana is probably looking through Leah's stuff,"
Leah's eyes widened and she groaned. "See you later, Addison- I'm glad the elixir worked,"
Addison facepalmed when Keefe raised his eyebrows at her
"Oops sorry," Leah said, making a straight face
"Bye, Leah," Addison replied, Leah, stomped upstairs
"MOM!" Leah yelled
"We'll see you later, Dex," Keefe said patting Dex's back and pulled Addison outside
"Bye Keefe and mini Keefe," Dex emphasized mini Keefe at Addison who rolled her eyes
"Bye uncle Dex," Addison yelled as Keefe pulled her outside
"So elixir?" Keefe asked Addison
She grinned. "Aiden looks hilarious,"
"Looks?" Keefe repeated as he scrambled out his home crystal
Addison nodded eagerly
"How many detentions did you get today?" Keefe asked
"Uh, two from Lady Gavin, one from Conley and another from... and I forgot," Addison counted off her fingers
"You forgot?" Keefe asked. "What about your photographic memory?"
"Pfft, I only remember the stuff that I care about," Addison smirked while Keefe was trying hard not smirk back
"I should be mad at you but that's your mother's job," Keefe said, he held their crystal to the light; they both stepped into the light

"Addison Calla Sencen!" Sophie yelled, as soon as they walked into their house. She had her hands on her hips
Addison winced. "Yes, mother?"
"What did you do to your brother?"
"You didn't see?" Addison asked, jokingly
Sophie groaned and looked at Keefe. "Well?"
"Well, what?" Keefe asked making a gesture with his hand
"Go see what your daughter did to your son," Sophie narrowed her eyes when Addison grinned
"Uh, yeah sure be right back," Keefe said, as he walked away but Addison grabbed his arm
"Don't leave me with mom," Addison whined as she pouted
"Sorry, A, I have to go or your mother will kill me but you can have my mallowmelt- I know she'll take that too," Keefe whispered in Addison's ear who was grinning ear to ear
"Thanks, Dad," Addison whispered back
Keefe stepped back and looked at Sophie who was glaring at him. "What did you tell her?"
"Nothing!" Keefe yelled as he yelled upstairs to Aiden's room
When he got to Aiden's room he knocked on the door bracing for a lot of yelling
"Aiden?" Keefe called
"Open," he growled, Keefe gradually opened the door. He almost laughed but braced himself. Aiden's hair was all gone except for one small hot pink patch on his head. He had an orange unibrow and his skin was turning red either from Addison or from embarrassment
"What happened?" He choked from holding his laugh
"What do you think?" Aiden touched his unibrow and narrowed it up and down. "It was Addison,"
Keefe snorted but quickly regretted it when he saw Aiden's indignant expression
"It'll wear off," Keefe assured him and he walked over to sit on Aiden's bed
"Yeah," Aiden rubbed his temple
"So how was uh Foxfire other than the incident,"
Aiden shrugged. "It was okay. Telepathy was good and Inflicting was not bad. I loved universe. It was awesome....." Keefe was drifting off. He had to admit Addison's stories were more engaging
"Dad! Are you listening?" Aiden asked bringing Keefe back from his daze
"Uh, yeah, yeah," Keefe said, shaking his head
"KEEFE! DOWNSTAIRS!" Sophie yelled
"Let's go, Dad,"
Aiden headed downstairs and with Keefe following. Keefe saw Addison sitting on the floor in the living room with her knees to her chest and grinning at Sophie who was sitting at the couch trying hard not to strangle her
"Keefe! She's not listening like at all,"
"Mom, I'm listening,"
Sophie scoffed and she bolted up. "Okay! I had enough! No more elixirs! No more teaming up with Leah! Go to all your detentions! Don't use your mesmerizing on Aiden! No more pranks! And no more ditching!"
"But mom-"
"No I made my decision- it's final!"
"Sophie-" Keefe started
"No Keefe- and Addison go to your room!" Sophie interrupted, rubbing her temples
Addison sighed and ran to her room, smirking when she saw Aiden who rolled his eyes
"I'm going to make dinner," Sophie sighed and headed to their enormous kitchen. Keefe hurried to follow her
"Sophie-"
"Keefe you need to stop supporting her it only makes her even more confident than she already is," Sophie interrupted and started to slice the fruit on their quartz island
"But you got to admit- what she did to Aiden looks pretty funny,"
Sophie cracked a smile
"I can hear you!" Aiden yelled from the living room
Sophie chuckled. "I don't know what to do with Addison,"
Keefe wrapped his arms around Sophie's waist and rested his head on her shoulder. "Don't worry- she'll turn out fine. I mean look at me! I'm irresistible,"
Sophie laughed. "I don't know- irresistible?"
"I know right? More like handsome, attractive, striking-,"
Sophie scoffed, interrupting him. "Not what I meant,"
"You need to calm down, Soph,"
"I don't think I can," Sophie replied, Sophie, rested her head on his shoulder
"I can help," Keefe offered, looking down at her
"Really? How?" Sophie asked as turned around to face him
Keefe grinned, glad she played along. "Maybe this could help?
"Wha-" Sophie started but Keefe interrupted her by kissing her. Sophie instantly melted into his kiss. Keefe tilted his head to deepen their kiss and so did Sophie
"Ew! I just came down to get a bottle of youth and I find you guys- like this?" Addison said as they broke apart
Keefe could feel the embarrassment raiding off Sophie.
"What are you doing downstairs Addison?" She grumbled still wrapped in Keefe's arms
"A bottle of youth," Addison wiggled the bottle in front of Sophie and walked away, gagging
"So where were we?" Keefe asked, leaning closer to Sophie- completely ignoring Addison
"I don't know, where were we?" Sophie asked, smiling and jumping up to bump his nose
Keefe grinned and leaned even closer to her face, he cupped her face and closed the space between them. He gently sucked her upper lip as she did his bottom
"Uh, okay?" Sophie and Keefe broke apart.
"Aiden? What do you need?" Sophie asked
"Just something to eat," Aiden replied, scratching his neck slightly red
"Wait for a little while, okay sweetie? I'm almost done with dinner"
"Okay, mom," Aiden quickly headed out of the kitchen
Sophie turned away from Keefe and continued to chop the fruit
"I can I have another k-"
"No," Sophie interrupted
"Please?"
"Keefe, I'm trying to make dinner- maybe afterward,"
"Fine,"
Keefe rested his head on Sophie's shoulder and played with her hair. "You know you seem more gentle with Aiden than Addison,"
"That's because he's not a mini girl Keefe,"
Keefe smirked
"Very funny- you know Aiden's-"
"Shut up," Sophie interrupted, rolling her eyes
"Make me," Keefe replied
"Keefe no,"
Keefe laughed and kissed her cheek
*At dinner*
"Hey, Aiden?" Addison asked as she looked up from her Mashed Carnissa Root and Umber leaves. Aiden groaned and Addison smirked
"Did you like the kiss-"
"Addison no," Sophie looked up from her food to glare at her
"Why," Addison whined and dragged out the 'why'
"Because-"
"Uh, Soph? I'd like to know," Keefe interrupted. Sophie glared at him
"I can tell you, dad," Addison volunteered
"You can?" Aiden asked as he narrowed his eyes
"Uh, yeah. I can feel your feelings from a distance. Remember?"
Aiden groaned in response
"He totally loved it." Addison took a bite of the roots
"Really!? So Aiden-" Sophie asked
"Mom no, you promised you won't say these types of things- ask," Aiden interrupted
"But-"
"I'm done, I'm going to go to my room," Aiden interrupted again, he got up and started walking away. "By the way- me and Brooklyn didn't talk after Addison,"
After Aiden was long gone Addison asked: "Why is Aiden acting weirder than usual?"
"He's going through some stage-" Keefe began as he stuffed his face with the purple glob
"Nevermind- forget I asked," Addison interrupted
