The Beginning of the End
My name is Vincent. I was the accomplice in the murder of at least ten children, and soon, I will die.
Vincent tapped his pen against his cheek, contemplating his next words.
That's right, I said accomplice. You've probably seen my face plastered all over newspapers, declaring me the "Fazbear Murderer" and all sorts of other things. But the truth is, it wasn't all me. I was framed. Or, maybe not entirely. But none of this was my idea in the first place.
I'll now introduce you to the man nobody suspected: Scott. And the beginning of the end of my life.
He set down the paper and pen as he recalled the day this hell began, and he was none the wiser.
It was just a normal day of him working the day shift at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. He'd been coming here since he was a kid, he had so many good memories with the animatronic performers. So he felt like he owed the place something.
Well, and he needed the money.
He swept some pizza crumbs off the floor, watching as kids sped past him, shouting and laughing, and as animatronics performed their songs on the stage. Just then, he heard the door to the restaurant open with a jingle. He usually didn't look up, as it was probably just a family, or a high school worker who didn't care about the job and just wanted money. But this time, he felt compelled to glance.
He now wished he hadn't. For this was where his problems began.
He didn't know what struck him as interesting when it came to that man. All he knew was that his brown eyes were luring him in, his hair of a similar shade framing his face as if it were a Renaissance masterpiece. And he was walking right towards him.
"Excuse me." The man said. "Would you happen to know where the office is?"
"Um..." He fumbled with his broom. "Y-yeah. Just down that hall, then take a right."
The new employee tipped his hat, a purple baseball cap with the logo on it. "Thanks. I'm Scott, the new night shift employee. And you're...?"
"Vincent. I-I'm the janitor and mechanic during the day, but sometimes boss makes me work nights..."
"Huh. Well, maybe I'll see you around, then."
"Maybe." He smiled, and the man walked down toward the office.
