(3rd POV)

Flashback

'Shh, Shh it's okay. You're gonna be alright.'

Leo comforted the trembling girl, feeling her grip his lab coat as she sobbed. He clenched his jaw, anger built up inside him as he thought about what he heard in the boss's office. He had eavesdropped on the conversation between the man and Pisces, and heard that he intended to 'dispose of' Megan's child. And that's exactly what he did. Despicable.

'I just... I can't believe it... It's gone, just like that.' She choked 'I didn't even--'

'I know... I know... I'm so sorry this happened to you...'

Megan lifted her head slightly to look up at Leo, tears streaming down her face 'Are you really, though?'

'What?'

'Are you really sorry?' She repeated 'After all... you are on their side.'

He frowned, his hands now on her shoulders as he stared down at her 'Just because I'm part of the A.L.I, doesn't mean I'm 'with them' per say.'

'Then why would you join--'

'I have my reasons. Some personal, some not so person- but that's not my point. What I'm trying to say is, if there's any way I can help you, that doesn't involve directly releasing you, I probably won't hesitate.'

Megan's eyes narrowed 'Probably won't hesitate?' she echoed.

'Hey there's only so much an A.L.I scientist can do in a place filled with first class security.'

'Good point...' She thought for a moment 'Can you do things outside the labs without reaching the radar?'

'It'll take longer for them to find out, yes.'

'Perfect.'

Megan gently pushed away, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand before facing Leo 'I may have a plan, but it could result in you losing a few teeth.'

The male grimaced 'Lovely...' he glanced at the window between the infermary and hallway, to check if anyone was watching. Thankfully, Sagittarius was keeping Virgo distracted. With a sigh he turned to the girl once again 'Alright, let's hear it.'

Megan grinned and took the male's hand, pressing a ring of some kind into it. Leo raised an eyebrow as she spoke.

'You'll need this. It's to show them you aren't an evil pr*ck.'

'Them?'

'My friends. You're going to help them get here.'

Leo blinked at her and began to process what she had said. Once he did he coughed 'I'm sorry what?'

'And that's why we're here now.' Avory finished the explanation with jazz hands.

Everyone sat in the front room, listening closely to what the two strangers had to say. It was believable, they would admit, as Megan would do something like that. But, after what happened with Leven they were having a hard time trusting the boys.

'It does add up...' Lillie admitted, staring down at her lap 'It sounds like something Meg would do.'

'Don't necessarily make it true though.' Guzma retorted, crossing his arms over his chest.

Hau frowned 'Well I think it is. Megan wouldn't just let someone take her ring, it's too precious to her.'

'You're basing what they're saying over a ring?' Green asked in disbelief, Red seemingly thinking the same thing as he furrowed his eyebrows.

'It's technically all we have to go on here.' Ashley spoke up.

'Doesn't mean we should believe it!' Sun blurted out with his fists clenched.

'You got a better idea, Mister Champion?' Rose sassed.

The trainers began arguing loudly, some even getting up in each others faces and yelling insults between their reasons. This individuals were Sun and Rose. Ein and Avory watched how this played out, occasionally glancing at each other to make sure they weren't the only one confused. They didn't really want to step in, as they didn't feel like getting a broken nose today. Besides, Ein was kind of busy staring at Sun's angry expression. He found it kinda, I don't know...

Now's not the time for that. As attractive as Elios was, they had a plan to follow.

'ALRIGHT, EVERYONE SHUT UP!'

The room flinched at the stern voice, and all at once everyone turned their heads to stare at the owner. Gladion glared at all of them, baring his teeth as he held a shaky fist to his chest. Presumably he had the ring inside it. With frustrated grunt he continued with speak.

'Honestly... Our friends are in danger, probably going through hell right now, and here we are acting like children!' He scolded 'Instead of arguing about whether what they're saying, why don't we actually think about the information they've given to us! Sound good?'

Sun scoffed 'Big talk coming from the dude who held Adrien-'

'Avory.'

'-Avory up by his collar, just to get information out of him.'

A glare was sent the champion's way by the platinum blonde, making him flinch slightly and turn his head away. Gladion huffed.

'Look... I'm weary about this, too. But Ashley's right, it's all we have to find them right now. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but just because we believe them doesn't mean we have to trust them. If they're lying we can just turn them over to the police.'

'Um hello! We're right here!' Ein sneered.

'Shut it!' Guzma snarled, causing the poor boy to shut his mouth instantly.

'Honestly I think that's fair.' Avory spoke up as he ran a hand through his hair, getting the attention of everyone in the room 'You have every right to be skeptical of us, especially after all the A.L.I has done to you-'

'We know!' Sun spoke up, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes.

'-But, I just want you to know what we've put at stake just to help you guys.' The male continued 'We aren't exactly free from 'judgement' either.'

'Say wha...?' Rose murmured

'What exactly do you mean?' Ashley asked them suspiciously.

'What we mean is,' Ein began, hunching over and clasping his hands together over his knees 'Our boss is a very, very powerful man, who can make our lives a living hell if we disobey him. If he finds out about... this, Avory and I are as good as dead.'

Green bit his lip 'How dead are we talking?'

Avory made a slitting motion across his neck with his thumb, before mouthing the words 'game over' to the group. For some reason this made them shudder. If this guy found a way to fuse humans and Pokémon, hell knows what else he's capable of.

'Then... why exactly are you helping us?' Gladion dared to ask, which made the two males give each other sorrowful glances.

'I guess... we want to make up for our mistake. Redemption if you will.' Avory explained with a sad smile, his hair covering his eyes like a curtain.

'Redemption from what?' Lillie pried.

'We failed to save people we held dear from that monster...' Ein looked over to the side 'But maybe we'll be able to save your friends.'

Gladion glanced at them, his anger melting away and was replaced with sadness 'You were affected by the experiments, too?'

'...Yes. My mother and Ein's Uncle, we're both victims.' Avory muttered, his bangs covering his eyes as he bowed his head 'We couldn't save them, but we can at least avenge them by taking the A.L.I down. So, are you with us on this or not?'

Sun and I glanced at each other, before nodding and grinning devilishly 'Let's take these f*ckers down.'

(Cancer/Kate POV)

'Cancer! Aries!'

'Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!'

I scampered across the tiled floor, mentally urging my legs to move faster in hopes of getting to my destination without the boss getting too mad. And by the sounds of it he seems pretty ticked off already. Aries, being the faster one out of the two of us, skidded to a halt in front of the boss's office and knocked on the door. I halted next to him, bending over and taking deep.breaths. I really hated running.

Hey, I'm a scientist not a relay runner!!!

After a moment we got the ok to enter, to which Aries opened the door to and let me enter first. Like a gentleman.

Though in this case it's more of him letting me get decapitated first. Sigh...

The two of us straightened up, staring at the male's back as he continued to watch the many screens in front of him. Dusknoir was at his side too, and that definitely is not a good sign.

'You asked for us, sir?' Aries spoke in a serious tone, which broke the silence.

The boss turned his head slightly, allowing his dull aqua eye to glance at Aries and I. We gulped.

'Tell me, you two, where are Leo and Sagittarius?' He spoke in a light, yet dangerous voice.

'Well, I saw Leo helping Scorpio out with something a few hours ago, but I haven't seen him since. As for Sagittarius... I have literally no idea.' Aries answered wearily.

'I see...' the man nodded and fully turned to us 'And my children?'

'Back in their cell, sir.' I told him 'The youngest hasn't spoken a word to her brother and sister since she returned to them, though that's to be expected.'

'Indeed...'

The room fell into silence. I fiddled with the collar of my lab coat awkwardly as he continued to stare at us.

*BANG*

Aries and I flinched, as in one swift movement our boss had slammed his hands onto his desk. His Dusknoir glared at us as if to say 'You're f*cked.'

'YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS!' He screeched.

Aries put an arm in front of me out of instinct, as if to protect me if the boss dared to raise a fist against us. I whimpered slightly under the man's hard glare.

'ALL I ASKED OF YOU WAS TO KEEP THEM UNDER CLOSE WATCH AT ALL TIMES, AND TO ENSURE ALL STAFF WERE COMPLETELY LOYAL TO ME!' He continued to yell 'FAILURES, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!'

Close watch? Loyal staff? What does he...?

'I... don't think we understand what you mean, sir...' Aries told him shakily, keeping his arm up just in case. I nodded in agreement, as I was too scared to talk in this situation.

The large man pinched the bridge of his nose, grinding his teeth before pointing at a screen behind him. 'What do you see there?'

I glanced at the screen, only for my eyes to widen. Leo and Sagittarius... they were in the Aether house? They couldn't be there for business purposes, as we were done messing with them. But, that could only mean--

'Traitors!' Aries snarled.

'Exactly!' boss barked 'And guess who gave them the opportunity to betray us. My sl*tty b*tch of a daughter!'

(3rd POV)

The Artemus siblings all sat in different parts of the cell. Luke was against the wall with his legs spread in front of him, Laura was crossed legged and next to the bars, and Megan was on the bed with her knees pulled up to her chest. Luke and Laura had been informed of their sister's situation, and of course they were absolutely distraught. Not as bad as Megan, but still.

Suddenly though they heard footsteps, as if someone was running in their direction. They jumped at the sound of the area's doors slamming open.

Aries stomped over to their cell, causing the two older siblings to look up at him. However Megan's head remained down.

'You...' the blonde growled, opening the cell before slamming it shut behind him and storming over to the youngest.

*Slap*

'What the f*ck have you done?!'
