(Third POV)

Flashback

'Sun what makes you think this would work?' Green frowned.

'Green's right, I don't think Leven will-'

'He will.' Sun spoke sternly, cutting Ashe off 'He will fall for it.'

Gladion furrowed his brows, sitting up straight as he had been hunched over on the bed. 'I'm willing to hear you out, Sun, but I'm not necessarily agreeing with you.' He spoke in a soft but dull voice 'So tell me, how do you think this is going to play out?'

'So, after finding out about Megan's kidnapping I kinda went into a mental breakdown. But after my mom calmed me down I realised something; Leven doesn't know we know it was him.'

'That's... actually a good point.' Lillie muttered, placing a finger to her chin.

'So I figured, if I call him here to hang out, he'd probably only think I'd want to get my mind off my sister's disappearance.'

'So... how will any of this get him to-'

'Let me finish!' Sun glared at the Team Skull boss, causing him to immediately shut up. 'I also recall Leven saying his mother was a friend of a woman named Maria Kells when she was a child.'

Gladion let out a gasp which was only just audible for everyone to hear 'That... that was Megan's mother's name before she married her father and became an Artemus.'

'Yes. And I also remember Megan telling me her mother had a friend who disappeared some time during the experiments.'

Ashley began to piece everything together 'So you're saying that Leven and Megan's mothers were friends... and Leven's mom might have been a victim to the experiments?!'

'At least.' Sun nodded 'Haven't you noticed that Leven always seemed to have some sort of grudge against Megan?'

'Now that you mention it, yeah!' Hau's eyes widened.

'Well I may have figured out why. To prevent panic, the police force kept all identities of the experiment victims hidden. But since Red, Green and I have titles, we were able to ask them to search on Leven's family. Guess what? We found nothing. No names, no cause of death. Nothing.'

'So that's why...' Ashe trailed off.

'He's out for revenge!' Rose gasped.

'I get it now!' Gladion stood, eyes wide and fists clenched 'You can break his facade, and draw the information out of him by getting him to talk about his family!'

'That's why I have this.' Sun held up a tape recorder.

'So... what do you need us for?' Hau asked.

'Insurance.'

'Insurance?' Guzma echoed back, confused.

'If he gets out of hand, I need you to jump in. Only when it's COMPLETELY necessary though. I'd like to do this on my own, if I can. But if he panics, and tries to attack me...' he paused 'You know what to do.'

End of flashback

'You sure have a big mouth don't you, mister champion~?'

Sun's eyes widened, when on earth did he get a gun on him?

'Hands behind your head, now!' Leven demanded. Sun did as asked, slowly placing his hands behind his head and shuffling so he completely faced the gun 'Wow, Sun. When I heard the people talk saying you're really smart for a kid, well, I thought it was a pile of Touros sh*t. But wow, you actually pieced the story from absolutely nothing.'

'Wasn't hard.' Sun smirked 'R*tards like you make it pretty obvious.'

'You know what, I take it back. You're pretty stupid to play with death like this. Especially since the poison in these darts is said to be hell if it enters the bloodstream.' Leven twirled the gun round his finger 'Though I'll give it to you. You got balls of steel.'

'You know it.' Sun winked 'But flattery will get you nowhere.'

Leven hadn't faltered 'Tell me, honey, if it was your family the Artemus' destroyed, would you still be friends with her? Would you still think of her as a sister?'

Sun paused for a moment. The thought of his family going through that kind of pain made his whole body shiver.

'Maybe not... Maybe I wouldn't even associate with her.' He paused 'But I wouldn't be so unreasonable to say it was her fault. She was only a child, and now she wants to stay as far away from the family name as possible. And that's where you f*cked up. You were so thirsty for revenge that you blame something on her that she had no control over. So what do you do? you kidnap her and her siblings to probably give them a fate worse than death.'

Leven began shaking, the gun in his hand making an unpleasant clattering noise.

'My mom, my dad, my sister... MY LITTLE F*CKING BROTHER! You don't understand what it's like to lose EVERYTHING you care about, and there's nothing you can do about it. I... I could've gone with them... and then I wouldn't have to live all alone. But... all of them, they sacrificed their lives for mine. My brother... he was only a baby...' Tears fell down the boys cheeks.

'Maybe I should've just burned down that mansion... Me, a small little four year old. They wouldn't have suspected a thing. When... when I heard he died, I wanted nothing more than to make his family suffer.' He sniffled, his tone one again shifting from sad to angry 'Maybe I enjoyed watching his children's' sanity crumble from afar. But... but then you showed up, and Gladion and Lillie and Hau and Rose and Ashley! All I wanted was for them to hate the world. Hate themselves! Even as hybrids, you don't think they're monsters?!'

By now his breathing was ragged. He was almost at his breaking point, Sun could sense it.

'No, of course not! Besides they're together now, and they're strong together! Even before Megan knew they were siblings, they had some kind of bond I couldn't describe!' The ravenette stated with a smirk.

'Well all that's going to be useless when she blows, in headquarters of the A.L.I when she finds out her father faked his and her mother's death! Just think, meeting the man who caused her siblings so much pain, tore her apart from the love of her life, ripped the vocal cords out of her mother, and killed that little baby growing inside her belly! I bet she doesn't even know it's dead yet! Well she will once the bleeding starts!'

Sun clenched his jaw. He had to refrain himself, especially since he had a gun pulled out on him. All he wanted to do was pummel this mother f*cker for hurting his sister as much as he did. But he let him continue.

'You know what? There's something they misread while researching that little gem. Not that it would kill if cracked. That it could ignite when the person it's inside experiences emotions they can't control, but only... you'll never believe this, when the gem's cracked. It was so easy for a small ten year old boy to sneak into Aether's labs, and tamper with the little thing without anyone noticing. She'll blow up the ENTIRE place, with her mother, her father, her brother AND her sister. She'll lose everything, and she'll know it's all her fault as she dies with the-'

'Alright I've heard enough.'

Leven was stopped in his tracks, as the door was swung open and another male came barreling in, smashing his fist into Leven's cheek and sending him flying through Sun's doorway and towards the wall. It was Guzma who had landed the blow, his fatherly instincts kicking in to allow him to charge at the unsuspecting boy in a mere second.

The gun flew from his hand, but before he could reach it he was stopped by a move of some kind. Green, Red, and his Espeon barged out of the closet with very p*ssed off expressions. The gun flew the Champions, finally dropping into a plastic bag Red had held open to use as evidence.

Ashley, Hau, Lillie and Rose poked their heads up from behind the kitchen counter which was where they had been hiding, while Gladion scrambled out from underneath Sun's bed. And boy, if looks could kill.

The nine trainers gathered round the boy, as he continued his struggles against Espeon's struggling.

'You little-'

He was cut off as the pressure against him intensified, making him wince and bite back his words.

'Choose your next words wisely,' Gladion growled, kneeling down and grabbing Leven by the collar 'You lying *ss family breaking peice of shi-'

'You really think they'd believe you?! After word gets out that Megan, Luke and Laura are Artemus', they'd be wanted dead anyway! IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THERE ARE THREE CHAMPIONS AGAINST ME, I STILL WI-'

Leven was cut short by his own voice playing through a tape recorder held by the boy he pretended to have feelings for. Sun smirked, flipping the boy off as he held the tape recorder inches from his face.

'Think again, Leven~ As I said before; Busted.'
