Ding!

I take my phone out of my back pocket.

Kyle's calling me. 

I answer it. 

"Hi, Ky-"

"Where are you?"

"I'm at my brother's house," I said. 

"Okay. I happen to be near there, so I'm coming over. I'll be there soon," he said. 

"Okay, I guess that works."

"I didn't ask you, loser!" He said. "Have you told anyone about what I did to you?"

"No. Why?"

"Just wondering. Anyways, see you there, oh and when I get there, I wanna talk to you in your old room. Got it?"

"Sure," I said.

"Good."

Then, he hung up on me. 

I put my phone back into my pocket. 

"Ellie?" Daniel asked. 

"Yeah, Max?"

"It's Daniel."

"Oh."

"Yeah, so what were you trying to tell me about Kyle?"

"Oh, um it's not important."

"Okay, well I'm gonna go play video games with the boys, I'll see you later, okay?" Daniel said. 

I nodded and gave him a small smile. But, it was obviously a fake one. 

But, he couldn't tell. No one can tell when I'm breaking apart. And that hurts me. 

Ding Dong!

"I'll get it!" I shouted. 

I knew my brother's were busy playing video games in the living room. And I knew that they probably wouldn't want to get the door anyway. 

I ran downstairs and opened the front door. 

"Hey there, sunshine!" He said, then he winked at me. 

"Yo, what's Kyle doing here?" Jack asked. Jackass.

Oh, right. My brothers don't know that Kyle is my new brother...

"My man!" Max said, while walking over to Kyle and patting him on the back. 

"Sup bruh?" Kyle asked.

"Nothing much."

"Can someone answer my question, please?" Jack asked.

"Kyle is my new b-br-bro-"

"Brother." Kyle finished for me. 

I turned and glared at him. 

"But, technically I'm her step-brother."

All my brothers stared at me...including my new one. 

All five boys just continued staring at me like I was a llama. 

Strange. 

"Anyways, Ellie can I talk to you in your room, please?" Kyle asked. 

I nodded. "Sure."

I knew I'd get a punishment later if I didn't say yes.

I mean, what other choice do I have?

Suffer or say yes?

I think I'll choose say yes. 

Kyle held my hand, as we walked upstairs and into my room. 

Then, he let go of my hand, shut the door behind him, and locked it.

"W-why did you lock it?" I stuttered.

He didn't answer. He just gave me an evil grin. 

He walked closer to me and stopped right in front of me. 

Then, he slapped my face really hard. 

He punched my stomach and then threw me on the floor. 

He kicked my sides and then picked me up, so I was now standing. 

Then, undid his belt again, and started hitting me with it. 

I screamed. 

"Shut the hell up, nerd!"

"I am not a fricking nerd!"

"Yes you are."

Then, I heard banging on the door. 

"Ellie!" I heard someone say from the other side of the door. 

But, I couldn't recognize the person's voice. 

"Help!"

"Shut up!" Kyle whisper-shouted.

"No."

And the next thing I know, the door opened. 

Good thing my brothers know how to lock-pick. 

Wait a second...is that a good thing?

My brothers walked in and saw the torture.

"What the heck do you think your doing to my sister, you dumbass?" Noah said.

"Well, I was beating her up, until you four assholes showed up!" Kyle said. 

"Oh, well that's over now!" Jack said. 

"Oh, and what are you going to do about it, jackass?"

Jackass. 

Kyle and I both know that's secretly his nickname, even though we've never talked about it before. Like, sister, like brother. 

"This!" Jack said, then he walked over to Kyle and punched him in the gut. "That's what you get for calling me jackass!!"

Noah ran over to Jack and pulled him off of Kyle. 

"Now, we don't like seeing this type of torture!" Max said.

Max walked over to Kyle and flipped him. 

I didn't even know that Max could do that. Wow.

Luckily, he never did that to me. 

Then, Max threw Kyle on the floor and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. 

Daniel walked over to me and grabbed my hand. 

He led me out of the room and into his room. 

"Are you okay?" He asked. 

"Yeah, I think so. Thanks."

"Listen, Ellie, I have an idea..." Daniel began. 

"What's your idea?" I asked.

"What if, we run away together?" He said. 

"What?! But, Danny we can't."

"Why not? I mean, I'm in pain. Your in pain. We're the only ones that understand each other. It could be our little break away from everything. Just for a little while." Daniel said.

I thought about it for a moment. 

It does make sense...

"Fine."
