--nobody's pov--

Lightbulb and Paintbrush arrive at the airport. 

"Let's get out and look for him!" Lightbulb suggests.  Pb nods so they jump out and start their search.

"What did you say he looked like?" Paintbrush asks.

"Well, I haven't seen him in a while, so I don't know how tall he is. But he's a green emerald and-" Before she finished, she started into a sprint.  "Emmy!" 

"Lighty- Ack!" She pounced on him, sending them both tumbling to the ground. And chipping the back of his head, but he was too busy laughing to actually feel the pain. His bag fell to the ground.

"We ready to go back now?" Paintbrush asks. Lightbulb helps him up and nods. 

"oh! Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself." Emerald said, patting himself off. And shaking their hand. "Hello, I'm Emerald. It's so nice to meet you...." He scans them before realizing. "You must be the fabled Paintbrush!" He joked. Releasing his handshake and grabbing his bag. "Lighty told me all about you- uh, sorry if that came off creepy or weird. I-i didn't mean it like that- I really know nothing about you-"

"haha! Emmy. Don't over analyze!" Lightbulb stopped him from yapping.

They all went and hopped in the car. Paintbrush in the front seat, driving. LB and Emerald in the back. Chatting and laughing away in Spanish.

Sure, Paintbrush felt a little bit left out, but they try to remember- it's okay, she's just excited to see her friend. Keep smiling and let her be happy. You'll have her back soon.

"Painty!  Should we tell him?" Lb suddenly asked. They knew what she was talking about.

"uh, um." They blushed a little.

"we don't have too."

"no. no. It's okay!"

"Painty and I.... Are dating!!" She squealed.

Emerald's eyes widened. "Really!? I'm so happy for you two!" He grinned. "happy you finally got yourself a girlfriend." He whispered and nudged her.

"Excuse me! They are not a girl!" She shouted. Paintbrush blushed and so did Emerald, both out of embarrassment.

"OH MY GHOSH! I'M SO SORRY! I-I forgot!" He hides his face.

"Don't worry about it. It's okay, I'm used to it" Painty said.

He buried his face more.

It was quieter the rest of the ride.

We made it to Hotel OJ, the car ride felt like eternity. Why'd I say that. That was so dumb!! Why am I so dumb! I hop out and grab my bag. Paintbrush tells something to Lb, I didn't hear it. But they waved to me before going inside.

"Wow! It looks even more extravagant in person!" I marveled at the sight, a huge, shiny orange building!

Lightbulb giggled "You and those fancy words. Come on! Let's go buddy!" She grabbed his hand and dragged him inside. "I'mma show you to all my friends! How long are you staying?"

"a-a week"

"Aw okay- oh! This is OJ! The owner/manager of the hotel!"

OJ looked visibly annoyed, but sounded like he could talk for hours. "Hi there Lightbulb, who's your friend here?" 

"This is my bestie! Emerald! Emmy say hi." She nudged me.

"um. Hi." I awkwardly waved. I have no clue why I got so shy. I'm usually really social. But seeing this room full of people. People from the show my best friend competes on, seems so familiar but also hostile.

"Let's go find TT and Fan!" She pulls me away; I struggle to keep up. It been like this since we were kids. She was always first in everything. I let out a laugh. And she giggles. We go up some stairs and down a few hallways before we stop.

She busts open a door, no knocking, no nothing! "Fan! TT! I want you to meet my best friend in the whole world!"

"I thought Paintbrush was your best friend.." Fan says. Did she get a new best friend? 

"N- wel-.... I knew Emerald longer sooo... " she whips me forward. "This is Emerald, Emerald, this is Test Tube and Fan."  I waved.

"Okay well. Hi there Emerald! nice to meet you!" The red one greets.

I smile and wave again. The green one speaks up, "Uh yeah! Lightbulb Talks about you a lot."

"Really? "

"Yeah! she's always like 'Oh Emerald and I used to this all the time' And then she yaps about you for the next 5 minutes." She laughs.

I look over to Lighty, she blushes a bit. "I-I guess I do." she grins. "Well. We're going to do.... Something!" What? I don't think she had anything planed. but we walk out non the less. As soon as we leave and close the door, she leans over to me. " Whadduya wanna do? "

We stand there thinking before i say "Do you guys have any board games?" A sinister grin cracks onto her face. She grabs my had and runs me to the closet at the end of the hallway. She whips open the door. 

"Take your pick!" I look inside. My eyes widen. More than 30 board games stacked neatly in the closet! I stand there, my mouth hanging open. She giggles. 

"W-where do we... Where do we even start?" I slowly turn to her.

"At the bottom!" she slides one of the boxes out. Surprisingly nothing falls. "We should invite Painty, TT and Fan to play with us! They're really good at board games!" She texts them. "They'll be here later. Let's play!"

-30 minutes later-

We chit-chat in Spanish as we finish.

Paintbrush, TT and Fan arrives and sits. We pull out another game. 

"Wait- How many are we playing?" Paintbrush asks. We both shrug.

--15 hours later--

It was so fun to play with them! I can see why Lighty hangs out with them. They match her energy but are also so, so different! Her and Paintbrush is the cutest part of this 4-way friendship. And Lighty already told me that TT and Fan are engaged to each other.      

"I-is that the last g-game?" Paintbrush asks, exhausted. 

I check the closet.  "Not at all.." We all groan. TT and Fan fell asleep on each other a bit ago. So cute.  

"So.. tired... wants to sleep." Lightbulb dramatically proclaims as she crawls to Paintbrush and lays on their lap. They stroke her head.  I smile at them, placing the box in the pile we made.  I don't blame her for being so tired. It is 2am. I blinked a few times before laying on the floor and falling asleep.

I think this visit it gonna be fun.
