Angelina's Point of View:
Two Years Later
“So Doctor Andrew Turner how was your day?” I asked Drew as he stepped out of his class.
“It was good. How was yours, Nurse Angelina Smith?” he replied and I chuckled.
“You know we still have several years till we become doctors and nurses, right?” I asked amusedly.
“I know,” he answered “And I know you like calling me a doctor.”
“And you like calling me a nurse,” I countered.
“It’s sexy,” he said, smirking at me.
I winked at him as we continued walking down the hallway of our University. Suddenly, he stopped and when I turned to look at him I saw him glancing around the hallway. I gave him a confused look but he didn’t say anything, he just took my arm and pulled me into one of the empty classrooms and closed the door behind him.
“What are you doing?” I asked but he didn’t answer me. Instead, he pushed me against the wall and kissed me like there’s no tomorrow.
“What was that for?” I asked breathlessly when he pulled away.
“Am I not allowed to kiss my girlfriend?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at me.
“You didn’t have to pull me into a classroom,” I answered.
“Oh,” he said, raising his eyebrows “You want people to see us kissing? As far as I remember, last time I kissed you like that in front of the students, your face turned as red as a tomato.”
I blushed again as I remembered the incident. It was a few weeks ago and Drew suddenly got the urge to kiss me. As usual, I got lost with the kiss and forgot that there were students around us. I got so embarrassed that day when they all start whistling and screaming comments such as ‘get a room’.
“Yes, just like that,” he said, chuckling. Then he leaned down and kissed both of my red cheeks.
I shook my head so that my hair fell over my face, covering my cheeks.
Drew then gently pushed my hair back and when I looked up at him, he gave me a soft smile.
“I love you and don’t you forget it,” he said and I smiled. I lifted my head and stood on my tiptoes to kiss him.
“I love you too,” I then replied.
He raised his eyebrows at me in mock-shock and said, “What, no teasing this time?”
I chuckled and he grinned. I’ve never said it back to him directly after he did. I always tease him before saying it back but eventually I do.
“I think I prefer it when you tease me,” he said thoughtfully.
“Okay,” I said, raising my right eyebrow.
“I’ll try again,” he said “I love you.”
“It’s not the time for your mushy talk. I want to eat. Let’s go,” I said, shoving him away from me and he laughed.
“You’re one awesome girlfriend,” he said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders as we walked to where his car was parked.
“That’s one hundred percent right,” I said, nodding my head and he grinned.
We got into the car and Drew started driving to the restaurant where we were supposed to meet the twins and the other two brothers.
When we arrived, the other two couples were already there.
“Hey!” I greeted them, and gave them all a hug. We’ve gotten much closer over the years and the brother’s relationships with the twins were getting stronger every day – just like Drew and mine’s relationship.
“We’re ordering right now. I am starving,” I said as soon as my butt touched the red couch of the booth. They all laughed, knowing how I become when I’m hungry.
“What can I get for you?” the young waiter asked us.
We all ordered what we wanted and when it was my turn to order, the waiter raised an eyebrow at what I said.
“What?” I asked.
“Are you sure you can eat all that?” he asked amusedly.
My cheeks reddened when I thought of what I had ordered: One double cheeseburger with fries, a salad, and soda.
The color of my cheeks turned darker when I thought of the desert I was planning on ordering after lunch.
“Well I’m kind of hungry… a lot,” I said and he laughed.
“You’re cute,” he commented, smirking at me.
Suddenly, I heard a low growl from Drew who was sitting right next to me.
“What did you say?” Drew said angrily as his fists clenched.
“Drew,” I warned him but he didn’t seem to hear me.
“I-I’m sorry dude,” the waiter said, his brown eyes filled with fear as he stared at a very angry and very intimidating Drew. He then nodded once at us and quickly left.
“Andrew Turner! What have I told you about scaring guys like that?!” I said, crossing my arms over my chest.
When his gaze connected with mine, his blue eyes turned from angry to soft and apologetic.
“I’m sorry,” he said, giving me the puppy look I couldn’t resist “Forgive me?”
I grumbled under my breath and he grinned knowing that I fell for that cute face of his – again.
He kissed my lips briefly before Tia started laughing. I raised my eyebrows in question.
“You’re so vulnerable when it comes to him,” she said, smirking.
“You’re one to talk!” I replied and smirked when she blushed after glancing at Liam.
“So how’s university with all of you?” I asked my friends.
“Mia and I are going to be the best accountants ever!” Lee said, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend.
“You’re such a geek,” I said and everyone laughed except for him.
“I am not!” He said defensively.
“It’s okay,” I said, smirking “Mia likes it.”
Mia blushed and shot me a mock-glare.
“You haven’t grown up ever since that summer,” Lee said and everyone agreed with him.
“Is that a bad thing?” I asked.
“Nope,” Liam was the first to reply “I love you the way you are.”
“Aww thank you!” I told him “I love you too, Liam.”
“No, you don’t,” Drew said, scowling at his brother.
“And you haven’t changed either, Andrew,” Liam said, shooting him a smirk.
Drew narrowed his eyes at his brother and thank God the waiter came at that moment with our food. I wasn’t really looking forward for their bickering.
He quickly set the plates and with one look at Drew, he ran away again. My lips twitched slightly when I saw the satisfied smile on my boyfriend’s face.
I broke my record that day. I ate all the food I had ordered in ten minutes.
I sighed contentedly when I was done and Drew chuckled at me. When my friends were done eating, the waiter took away our empty plates and asked us if we wanted something else.
“I’ll have one brownie please,” I said and he did a double take.
I smiled bashfully and my cheeks burned as he gave me a shocked look. Then, he started laughing and he shook his head as he scribbled what I had ordered onto his notepad.
I felt Drew tense next to me and I placed my hand on his thigh trying to calm him down. It worked because the waiter managed to leave before Drew attacked him.
I then removed my hand and turned my attention back to Mia who was telling me something about a crazy girl in one of her classes.
Suddenly, Drew’s hand held mine and he placed it on his thigh again. I raised an eyebrow at him but he just smiled innocently.
I rolled my eyes at him but kept my hand there nonetheless. At least until my brownie arrived.
We then all went back to my house to watch a movie and just hang out. Nate, Greg and Jack joined us as well. They couldn’t come for lunch though because they had classes. University has been keeping us busy most of the time, but we still find time to hang out like we always have. And the fact that we all go to nearby Universities makes it easier for us to see each other frequently.
I saw my dad’s car in the driveway and I was a little surprised as to why he was here so early. When we went in, we saw my dad and Julia – his girlfriend – having lunch together.
“Hey dad, hi Julia,” I said, smiling warmly at the cute couple.
“Hey,” they both said, smiling back. I loved Julia. I considered her as a friend more than ‘my dad’s girlfriend’. I could see that she loved my dad as much as he loved her. They were a perfect couple and I can’t wait till their relationship evolves a bit more. It’ll be awesome if they get married and I know that it’ll happen soon.
It was good to have another woman in my life. I could talk to her about anything and she was an amazing listener and advisor too.
My friends and I sat in the T.V room and started watching a movie and soon dad and Julia joined us. Sitting here with the people I love, I couldn’t help but think of how much I needed them in my life. I never thought that a day like this would come and I would be sitting with all these people that I love. It was all thanks to that summer two years ago and I can honestly say that it wasn’t just another summer. It was the best summer ever; a summer I would never forget.

At the end of this story, I would like to ask you guys to keep supporting me and reading my new story. If you liked 'Just Another Summer... Or is it?' then you'll love my new one (The Tables Have Turned) and I would really appreciate it if you guys would read it :)
Now, the most important part of my long note is to thank every single one of you. You guys have really helped me out by reading/voting/commenting. I really appreciate all what you have done and I can't thank you enough for reading my story. When I used to get around 15 votes on each chapter, I used to be happy but of course I always wished to see my story on the front page of one of the lists and I also wanted to see the number of votes/reads/comments turn bright red. And now, I have to thank you for making it possible. My story stayed on the front page of the 'Teen Fiction' list almost the whole time. I even reached #2 twice! And also, the number of reads, votes, AND comments is bright red! I know I'm not close to being that good of a writer but I can say that I have improved a lot, so a little advice for all you writers out there: Read a lot, write a lot, and never ever give up.
Have a wonderful day/night! I love you all<3
