Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Angelina's Point of View:
I turned off the cool water and stepped out of the shower. I wrapped a towel around my body and went out of the bathroom which was connected to my room.
I opened my closet and took out a black skirt that fell mid-thigh and a white v-neck. When I got dressed, I slipped on my black and white converse and took out my hairbrush.
I heard a thud from downstairs and decided to go see what the three brothers ruined during those fifteen minutes.
I went downstairs while brushing my brown hair. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I saw Liam lying on the ground in the T.V room.
I quickly ran to where he was, “Liam! What happened?”
He jumped slightly and sat up.
“Oh nothing, I fell. The floor was comfortable so I thought I’d lie down for a while.”
I let out a relieved breath before sitting on the floor next to him.
“You’re weird,” I told him. His smile fell slightly and his eyes showed a bit hurt.
“I like it,” I completed my sentence and instantly the smile was back on his face, making his eyes light up.
“Were you worried, Angel?” His annoying teasing voice made my head whip to where he was standing in the doorway.
I opened my mouth to retort when something clicked in my mind.
I did care. Why did I care? I barely know these people.
But I easily get attached to people. This is a bad thing.
I cannot get attached to these brothers. They will be leaving at the end of the summer and I might never see them again.
Don’t think too much ahead of time, a part of me said.
Even though the other part was begging me to not get attached to them, I ignored it. I have three months before they leave. Anything can happen in three months.
“Angy?” Liam’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
“Huh?” I blinked “Oh right.”
I looked back at the eldest brother and shot him a glare which he returned with his signature smirk.
Liam stood up and gave me a hand. I took it gratefully and he pulled me up with so much force that I almost flew and my skirt went up slightly.
I quickly held it with my hands, blushing slightly.
“Sorry,” Liam mumbled, dropping his gaze.
“It’s alright,” I reassured him. I glanced at Drew as he was opening his mouth to say a snide comment.
“Don’t!” I didn’t let him utter any word “Don’t say what you’re thinking. I do not want to know.”
He shut his mouth and raised his hands in mock surrender as he shot me an evil smirk.
I huffed and walked back up to my room. I let my hair dry naturally knowing that it will fall perfectly like it always does.
I put my hairbrush back in my drawer and looked in the mirror one final time. My light brown hair was darker since it was wet and my brown eyes were a shade lighter than usual. My eyes change color every season. In summer they are usually light and in winter they get a few shades darker.
“This is so cool!” I jumped when I heard Liam’s voice. I turned around and saw his head poking out of the balcony which was connected to their room.
“Liam! You scared me! Don’t sneak up on people,” I reprimand him.
“Sorry,” he mumbled.
“Oh wow, our rooms are connected.” It was Lee’s voice this time and his head was just above Liam’s.
“Are you gonna just stand there or are you coming in?” I rolled my eyes at them.
They opened the glass door and walked into my room.
“Nice room Lina,” Lee said, looking around my room.
“Thanks,” I gave him a quick smile.
Liam was about to say something but he was cut off by his older brother.
“No one told me there was a party going on here,” he smirked at me when I glared at him.
“You’re not invited,” I snapped. Why can’t I tolerate this guy?
“Ouch Angel,” he put a hand on his chest and faked hurt “That hurts. It’s like you stabbed me with a knife. It’s like you ripped my heart out of my chest. It’s like-”
“Drew!” I screamed at him “I don’t want to hear your poems, alright? Recite them for someone who cares.”
“But you care, right?” He pouted and gave me his puppy eyes.
I can’t believe how cute he looked. And I can’t believe that I just thought of that.
My eyes softened slightly when I looked at his adorable face but I quickly composed myself and gave him another glare.
“It’s okay Angel, no one can resist my puppy face,” he smiled “I know I’m cute.”
I put a hand over my mouth in fake shock.
“How did you know that?” I said sarcastically. Then, with the same voice he used earlier I said,
“You’re as beautiful as a sunset. You are the apple of my eye! You are the chocolate chip to my cookie…” I sighed dramatically.
Suddenly, I composed myself and gave him a smug face, “I think I’m a better poet that you. Don’t you agree?”
Lee and Liam were now laughing like they always do when Drew and I fight.
“No I don’t agree,” he huffed.
“It’s okay Drew. No one can resist my poems. I know I’m awesome.” I mocked him and he glared at me.
I shot him a smirk and before I could tease him more, my phone rang.
My ringtone was the song ‘Moves like Jagger’ by Maroon 5. I grabbed it from the table and just as I was about to answer it, I noticed Liam dancing at my ringtone.
And by dancing I mean doing a really weird and hilarious chicken dance. His hands were just above his head and he was turning around in circles with his feet opened widely.
“Hahahaha Liam!” I started giggling and that seemed to encourage him even more. He stuck his ass out and started walking backwards till he hit the wall and fell face first. Just as his face collided with the floor, my ringtone stopped and my laughter died out.
“Are you alright?” I asked him.
Suddenly he raised his head to look at me with his childish smile.
“Yup,” he said as he jumped off the floor as if nothing happened.
“I have to say Liam, you have some dance moves!” I laughed again.
“Why thank you!” He smiled proudly and I pinched his cheeks.
“You know you didn’t answer your phone, right?” Drew said.
“I know!” I snapped at him even though I had totally forgotten.
“Yeah sure,” he replied sarcastically and I just rolled my eyes.
Tia was the one who called me so I called her back.
After a couple of rings, she answered, “Hey Angelina!”
“Hey Tia,” I replied.
“So what are you up to today?” She asked.
“Nothing,” I shrugged even though she couldn’t see me.
“You’re home alone?”
“I’m not exactly alone…” I trailed off, looking at the three brothers crowding my room.
“You mean you’re dad’s home?” she asked, surprised.
I snorted at that, “Yeah right! He doesn’t even stay home for Christmas.”
She sighed, “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. I’m used to it,” I answered.
“So back to our main topic, who is at your house?”
“Hehe” I laughed awkwardly “Why don’t you come over and see for yourself?”
“Yes I will.”
“Oh and bring Mia too!” I replied before we hung up. I smirked as I thought of my friends’ reactions when they find out that three boys are going to be living with me during the summer.
“Who is coming?” Lee asked curiously, snapping me out of my thoughts.
“My friends; Mia and Tia, they are twins.” I answered.
Drew licked his lips, “This should be interesting.”
“Don’t you even dare think about it!” I warned him.
“Why? Are they taken?” He asked then after a thoughtful look he added “Even if they are, I don’t care.”
I slapped the back of his head. Hard. He hissed in pain and rubbed the spot that I hit.
“No they are not taken! But you don’t deserve them,” I replied.
“We’ll see.” He smirked.
I glared at him and before I could retort, the doorbell rang.
“Everyone out of my room,” I ordered them and we all walked down the stairs.
I opened the front door and the twins stood in front of me with identical curious looks that made me snicker.
We hugged each other and they walked in. As soon as we got to the T.V room, both of their eyes widened.
“Hello ladies,” Drew gave them his killer smile.
“H-hi” they stuttered simultaneously and I rolled my eyes.
“Shut up Drew,” I snapped at him and he just winked at the girls.
I sighed.
“Tia, Mia,” I started “These are the Turner brothers. Riley, William, and Andrew. And they are staying with me for the summer.”
Their mouths hung open and I laughed at their expression.
“Hey,” Lee smiled politely.
“Hello!” Liam waved enthusiastically and I chuckled.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, go again?” Tia said, blinking at me.
I rolled my eyes at her, “They are the sons of my dad’s childhood friend.”
“Oh.”
