Long ago, maybe thirty years before the telling of this tale, there was a masked saviour running around the streets of London, saving innocent people from any form of harm that came their way, be it in the form of natural disasters, manmade havoc, or criminals, he would protect the innocent.

He was labelled as a hero, yet not everyone thought the same way. Not only would he save the innocent, but he would persecute criminals and bring them to justice. Naturally, he had a lot of enemies, but none of his enemies could ever harm him, because he was working with the police.

He was a famed hero, told to children as encouragement to strive, yet next to nothing was known about him. The public knew of his brief description, but no one knew his name, they only knew him by his alias, The Fighting Shadow.

He was described by various civilians of having shoulder length, jet black hair which brushed his shoulders, and dark blue eyes which seemed to pierce through people. Not much was ever said about his stature, just that he was tall, and had broad shoulders, with much of his build being muscle.

Now, there is another legend of a famed hero to the people, a masked woman who serves and protects the public. This legend is a recent legend, only having started to circulate in the last five years.

At first glance, she appears to be the complete opposite of The Fighting Shadow, as she works with a gang, while he worked alone, the police want to catch her, and the police were on his side, not to mention the fact that everyone was intimidated and scared of her, yet not afraid of The Fighting Shadow.

She is adored by the innocent, yet feared by all. Her tale is told to children as bedtime stories to make them behave, and everyone knows that her and her gang will hunt down everyone who kills, harms, or steals from an innocent. She is known as the smiling assassin, because her intimidation scares people, even the toughest of gang leaders, into surrendering, or even killing themselves, simply to get away from her, even though she has never once harmed or killed anyone, unless her life is in danger.

The police have tried to catch her multiple times, but she and her gang always get away. In a way, she is regarded as a sort of goddess. The innocent love her and the guilty fear her, yet no one is able to catch her.

She is based in London, yet she travels all everywhere for serious cases, so her name is known all around the world.

Not much is known about her, only her vague looks and her name. She has been seen briefly with long jet black hair flowing around her shoulders, and a pale Caucasian skin tone.

Beware all those of you who have committed evil in the past, because you can't hide from the smiling assassin, she will hunt you down.
