The key turned around, and a click sounded, signaling the success of the action. Both of them stared at the falling lock in disbelief, as if they didn't think it would have worked. Still in shock, Error decided to free the prisoner, pushing the door open.

Nightmares P.O.V.

The door was open. The room that held him captive for so many years, it no longer was a prison to me. At first I thought that I was still dreaming, but that creaking, long forgotten sound, proved me wrong.

" So, are you going to come out ? " , they asked, snapping me out of my dazed state. I immidiatly nodded, taking a step out my cell for the first time in what felt like years. Nothing but the sound of the bones of my glitchy savour hitting the ground interrupted the happy, yet awkward, silence between us. That was when I realised that I didn't even know the name of my guide.

" I'm sorry if you did already tell me, but what was your name ? " , I asked, considering the possibility of me simply forgetting their name.

" Oh, it's Error...I'm a male, by the way. " , even if I never considered asking for the second information, I realised it would have probably been necessary. I didn't know where we were walking, but I chose to follow the only person I've seen in ages, I could always leave the- him later. 'Error' seemed to be nervous, and I was, too, since I didn't recognize the hallway we were in. Now you might say that they all looked the same anyways, but if you were trapped in here for this long, you would see that there were the tyniest differences. We stopped infront of a ladder, where was it supposed to lead ? Ladders in the lab were always leading down, and we didn't take any of them, so where would we go now ?

I worried more and more as the steps seemed endless, was this a trap ? But honestly, what could be worse than being trapped alone in a room for all eternity ? So I went on and on, until finally, we reached what appeared to be a trappdoor. Error, who was above me, hesitated, before reaching out and pushing it open.
