G! finally came to a halt, right in front of one of the many doors I passed before. I studied the door before me, it had a stop sign and yellow police crossing tape draped all over it.

G! let go of my wrist, gesturing towards the door. I rubbed my wrist in the same spot G! held, in relief. I could tell he really hated me and really hated he was helping me.

I raised my hand to the door and hesitated.

Papyrus is behind this door...
What if he doesn't remember me? And if he does, what if he hates me? I did call him an idiot...

"Dove?"

G! called out to me making me take a deep breath in and knock.

"WHO IS THERE?"

I smiled at Papyrus voice, it was really him... it was really him. Fear found its way to my heart causing me to not say anything like there was something in my throat. I tried to gain composure but ended up saying something stupid.

💛G!Sans POV💛

The human smiled at the sound of Paps' voice, but it faded slowly and her face read of horror. She just stared at the door like it was the gateway to hell. I was about to say something when she squatted out.

"D-dishes."

Wait is she...

"HUH? DISHES WHO?" I could hear my brother's voice drooling in suspension.

"Dishes a very bad joke."

The human smiled a very uncomfortable smile and her eyes were filled with regret. I actually thought it was funny, but I didn't laugh. The door flew open.

"SANS IF THAT'S YOU-" Paps stop short when he saw the human girl, he looked closer then gasped.

"(Y/N), IS THAT YOU?!"

My eyes widen in stock.

This was (Y/N)?! The little girl that was traumatized and treated like a monster?!

Yeah, I knew the story. Sometimes Paps and I would go on walks to the field where they met because he worried if she was okay. And was hoping she would come back, this was before the bombs fell.
His new human friend.
To be honest I hated this (Y/N) brat Paps raved about. What gave her the right to throw her anger on us monster, then at my bro? But, every time Paps talked more about her I realized how terrible humans truly are. They hurt their own kind just because she is a little different? Disgusting. And I was just as cruel.

'As you should have been, she might be Papyrus' "friend" but she is still a human. If you refuse to kill her, she can't remain here.'

I mentally sighed, Of course, dad, I know that.

Good.

(Y/N) face relaxed and she even smiled a bit, but it wasn't around for long.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Tears begin to fall from her night sky eyes. Both me and Paps were surprised by her reaction. The tears continued as, she was sniffling, breathing heavily, and trying her hardest to remove her tears with the back of her hands brushing against her face.

"(Y/N)?! ARE YOU OKAY?! WHAT'S WRONG?!"

Paps moved his hands around (Y/N), but didn't touch her. Paps then looked at me with pleading eyes of worry.

"SANS I BROKE THE HUMAN!"

I laughed a bit at my brother's childish way of thinking, "Actually Bro, I think she is just overwhelmed to see you again."

(Y/N) nodded her head up and down, while still crying and trying to catch her breath, although the air she took in was very short and rapid.

"WELL, HOW DO I FIX HER?!"

How was I supposed to know?

I shrugged my shoulders, "You could try a hug."

Leaning down a bit Paps pulled (Y/N) into a hug and she quickly wrapped her arms around him.

"I-I'm so s-sorry!" Her voice was higher pitched, squeaky, and she was still having a hard time catching her breath. "I c-called you mean n-names and- and said a-awful things about m-monsters-"

"IT'S OKAY (Y/N), I FORGIVE YOU."

(Y/N)'s eyes glowed brighter at Paps' words. She tightens her grip on Paps' battle armor, unaware of this. I was surprised her soul didn't come out of her body with how strong she reacted towards Paps.

Her soul is... amazing. I have never seen a soul so pure and unwavering.

'Extraordinary, I always wondered what would happen if a monster trait that was similar to a human soul came to be together.'

(Y/N)'s breathing calmed down and she was just sniffling, "...you know..." She began slowly after much silence, "... I don't think you're an idiot Papyrus. You're my hero."

Paps gasped pulling (Y/N) back by her shoulders, smiling wide at her.

"REALLY?!"

(Y/N) was a little taken away, but then gave Paps a loving smile. Finally, her breathing had returned to normal, "Of course! You might even say I'm your number one fan."

I... I haven't seen Paps smile like that since the war started.

'Don't get any ideas, my boy.'

I know... but he looks so happy...

'But she is still a human.'

'*sigh* you can't hide your thoughts from me son, just be careful of what you're doing'

💙(Y/N) POV💙

"DID YOU HEAR THAT BROTHER?! I HAVE A FAN!"

My face became flushed red when I remembered G! was standing there the whole time. I cleared my throat and took a deep breath, which was still a bit shaky thanks to all that crying.

I turned towards G! giving him a big smile, "Thank you. For years I wondered if I ever see Papyrus again and thanks to you that dream came true."

G! didn't say anything, but looked like he was at war with himself. Then, I suddenly remembered my promise.

"Oh! I'm very sorry about giving you so much trouble, but you won't have to worry about me anymore." I glanced back at Papyrus waving goodbye, he returned with one of his own with much energy.

I started to walk past G! to the exit but pause for a moment and said in a hushed voice, "Take good care of Papyrus, please."

I felt sad to leave after finally reuniting with Papyrus, but I also felt at peace. Honestly, I wanted to stay, but I made a promise and I always keep a promise.

I looked back at both of them one more time capturing the moment, "Goodbye."

I go to walk away, but an all too familiar bony hand finds its way around my wrist, stopping me.
