2} Unique
We ended up wandering around the forest for about half an hour until MK recognized a path that we came across. He picked up the pace rushing out of woods and into a beautiful meadow filled with buttercups.
"We're here!"
I looked around the field again, just in case I missed something. However, I came up with the same conclusion.
Yup, just a bunch of yellow buttercups... pretty but unless.
"Um... I don't know kid-"
I stopped short when MK ran to the center of the meadow and stomped on the ground in what look like to be a specific order. I heard a soft *beep*, then a patch of grass and buttercups glitched out of existence leaving a cellar-door that I could only assume lead underground. A young goat child ran out of the hatch tackling MK into the grassland, hugging him.
"Thank Asgore! Everyone was so worried. Y-you went out alone and, and-"
"It's okay, Asriel. I'm fine, yo! My new friend is totally kick-butt!"
Asriel laughed lightly seeing his friend without a care in the world and seemed to be unharmed. He got up helping MK up too, but like I should have known, his smile vanished when he faced me.
"Hey, I'm (Y/N) nice to meet you."
I held a hand out to Asriel. He ignored it, grabbed MK's collar turning him and himself away from me. He tried to speak in a lower volume to MK and failed miserably allowing me to hear everything.
"Are you crazy?! Bring a human here!" Asriel yelled-whispered at him.
"It's cool, yo. She saved my life! She is a hero!"
"And?! Did you even think what would happen if the royal guard found her, let alone G! They'll kill her!!"
"Um, hey."
Asriel was alarmed at the sound of me breaking their conversation.
"I hate to ask this when you seem to detest me, but I really don't mean harm. I just want, no need, to talk to the ambassador." I was almost begging.
I need to meet that skeleton again. If I don't I know it will haunt me forever. I-i just have to know he is okay.
...
No, that's not all. I feel guilty for the things I said... I don't deserve his forgiveness, but I'm going to ask for it... I'm so selfish. Now, I'm relying on kids and putting them at stake too, in hopes to meet this one monster that probably doesn't even remember me.
*sigh* "It's not that I hate you... It just-"
"Please."
This time I was begging. Every part of my body screamed that this was my only option. I had to take it.
"Ugh! Okay."
My heart jumped at the news, "Thank you so much!"
I- I did it.
My mind was trying to wrap around the gravity of the situation.
"But, please take off your hood. Not seeing your face is unsettling."
*sigh*
Of course again with this, but I can see his point.
"Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you."
I closed my eyes taking a deep breath readying myself for their reaction. I pulled my hood down revealing my (H/L) (H/C) hair with royal blue tips. Then... I opened my eyes.
They both froze in time, shock written on their faces.
"Told you."
"W-wow... your eyes are gorgeous!"
"Yeah, man! You look cool, yo!"
I took a step back, like their words actually hit me.
"Umm, thanks? Honestly... I wasn't expecting that having glowing dark blue eyes aren't exactly normal for a human, you know?"
"Well, we don't care! None of us monsters are the same we're all unique."
'YOU CAN'T ALWAYS WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHERS SAY! I LIKE YOUR EYES THEY'RE UNIQUE.'
"Hehe, thanks, kid. You reminded me of a fond memory."
Asriel gave me a thumbs up, "Okay! Are you ready to meet the ambassador?"
I nodded my head 'yes' then Asriel took my hand in his paw. It was kinda a weird feeling, but nice too, his fur was really soft.
Asriel turned to MK in plan-mode, "I'll take (Y/N) to Frisk passing by the rooms, you go to the living area and be the distraction, by letting everyone know you're alright."
"But-"
"No, MK. I know you want to come, but you being a distraction was just an excuse. In all honesty, everyone was really worried. Please, don't go out on your own again."
"Ugh, you really know how to make someone feel awful, yo. Butttt you're right, sorry, man I'll do the right thing."
MK went down the stairs of the cellar first taking a left turn and yelled really loud about his return. Monsters of all kinds rush from down the hall, frogs, fire dudes, dogs, more goats, a fish, and so much more. They didn't even glance mine and Asriel's way. At this moment they just wanted to shout and paise that MK was home.
Asriel used this opportunity to run in the opposite direction all the monsters were gathered. We ran through many metal hallways all aligned with multiple doors, each door was decorated in some sort of fashion. I quickly came to realize that each door was a room for each monster and the door itself was the way that monster chose to personalize it. I felt as if we were running for a while, then we came to a hallway that only had one door at the very end.
Asriel took a couple of breaths in, trying to calm his breathing. He walked up to the door, me still beside him holding his hand, then gave it a light knock. The doors flew to the side and into the wall like I once saw in a futuristic film.
"Frisk? There is someone who wishes to see you."
As I walked into the room with Asriel we parted hands and I saw a smile only for a second then it disappeared almost as soon as it got there. The little girl, Frisk, was lying in bed and was oddly pale.
Is she still sick? After all these years?
She turns to Asriel and started to move her hands with rage and maybe a bit of fear.
'Are you crazy?! A human?! What if G! finds out?! I'll tell you what! He'll kill her!'
"Frisk... you know I can't understand you when you sign that fast."
"She said that you were crazy for bringing me here and that um... G! maybe, is going to kill me. I'm sure about most of it, but it's very hard to read sign names if you don't them."
They both wore expressions of amazement when I spoke up.
"You know sign language?"
"Yes. My mother was deaf, it was simply the only way I could communicate with her."
*sigh* 'I'm sorry, but you can not stay. I'm only doing this for your protection. You have to leave.'
"I understand and my goal isn't to cause trouble, I just need help finding someone. I just need a chance to make things right."
'Why do you think I'll know them?'
"Well, you are the ambassador of all monsters, right?"
'Oh! I guess that makes sense. I'll help if I can, what's their name?'
I tried to recall the last time I saw him and spoke out loud making my memories come to life.
